    I’ve had my GX for 8 months now. Great gas mileage, quiet cabin, easy-to-use infotainment system, adequate trunk space, and comfortable ride. No complaints! 🙂

      Love to hear about your Buick all these years later. Any issues with that little turbo? I'm looking at a used one. Really like it. Thanks

    I love my Encore GX! I feel like I am driving a luxury vehicle. I feel spoiled. I replaced a 2009 CR-V and looked at the new CR-V. I hated it. The rear exterior is ugly and it just feels like they are trying too hard to be something more than it is. I loved my 2009- so practical and comfortable. My new GX is practical but classy, too. Yes, it's small, especially in the back seat. But that's not what you buy this car for.

    Love, love, love my 2020 Encore GX Essence! I've been getting 33 - 36 mpg which is better than advertised.
    I traded in a Toyota Rav4 hybrid and find my Encore GX has a much smoother ride and is altogether more comfortable and has more premium features.
    I think this is the most under-rated SUV on the road today.

    Afrer driving my trusted Honda Accord for 11 years, I decided it was time for a change. The dealbreaker was that, given the Canadian winter and my getting along in years, it was time for an AWD. I got the Preferred trim and am thrilled. Loving it! The shorter wheelbase makes for some rockier times but all things considered, it is a wow experience. Plus, even given the premium gas being mandatory, it only costs me 45 bucks to fill the tank. A comparison with my Accord would not be appropriate, but, bottom line, I am loving it!

    Hello Nolan, Nice seeing you again. I notice they really couldn’t color key the little Shark Fin? You said you obtained 37MPG hwy? I get that with the Impala on the hwy. That red looks just like the red I have Deep Red.

    I have no experience with 3 cylinder automobiles but years of experience with that particular configuration in Triumph motorcycles. As a result, I'm less skeptical of the design than others may be. An advantage of the triple is the greater torque (and broader torque curve) that stems from larger individual cylinder displacements, especially at lower RPMs compared to a four banger. That seems to be borne out in the specs where maximum torque comes on at 1600 RPM and by the quickness experienced in urban driving.

    Hi Nolan. Great review of the Encore GX. Love the styling, colour, interior and wheels! It's similar to the Opel/Vauxhall Mokka in Europe previously owned by GM, although the new company owners are the Peugeot PSA Group since 2017. Interestingly a 1.2 litre 3 cylinder engine is also used by the PSA Group. I still have doubts about 3 cylinder durability though. Enjoy your day :-)

    Sup Nolan! Definitely an improvement over the old Encore. I drove one once for work and felt like I was driving a power wheels. 😂 Interior looks pretty upmarket, but it’s missing some features I’d want for a $33,000 plus vehicle. I’d still go with a loaded Crosstrek and pocket the savings..but you already knew I was going to say that before you even read my response. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  Před 3 lety +1

      I know what you mean lol! I don’t blame you there either, I still can’t wait to get into a Subaru soon, as I’ve been saying for too long now!

    • @henryd1981
      @henryd1981 Před 2 lety +1

      A loaded Crosstrek would probably cost almost as much when you tack on options. True story: I had a '21 Encore GX but traded it for a '21 Crosstrek that cost about the same in the $28k range. I did that since I was wowed by the glowing ratings from Consumer Reports. I ended up having buyers remorse, so I was able to trade the Crosstrek and bought a CPO '21 Encore GX with the same equipment as my former one. When I drove away with the Encore GX after trading in the Subaru, I felt so happy with my decision. I do love the way the Buick drives, and the 1.3L engine has plenty of power for the class.
      That said, the sweet spot is to buy the (middle) Select trim if you don't need all the bells and whistles but still have plenty of features for under $30k.

    • @tigerfan8244
      @tigerfan8244 Před 2 lety

      @@henryd1981 Glad you were able to get into something you’re happy with. I have a loaded Crosstrek Limited which retailed for $32,000 when new. That includes leather, sun roof, navigation, H/K prem audio, and Eyesight. The only complaint I have with it is the lack of power (mine is the old 2.0L not the newly available 2.5). The Encores I have driven weren’t too peppy either, although I haven’t driven the GX. In the end, I still prefer the Crosstrek, simply due to the better reliability track record and a higher resale value.
