My Mrs bought one - what a surprise package! It's a great little car for around town. And lots of comments from strangers asking what it is? Only had good comments so far. Great car to live with!!

It's nice to see a few car makers using some colour initiative on the interior, instead of black. A small bit of colour goes a long way to brighten things up.
That's most probably the only way they're selling these cars. Make them look pretty and the people who know nothing about cars will buy them.

I've had the Ultra for almost 6 months doing mostly city driving and it's great, the only disappointing thing is that unlike os versions there is no app or voice control but other than that it's a great little city car and I don't miss the petrol station stops at all.
I've got a question. Can you use Android Auto on ORA?

Number plate at the front looks like doesnt fit in to the holder, look really weird.

HI, for lane keeping to work fully you need to set the lane assist in vehicle settings to centering. I've found it to work quite well in highway driving :)
Really don't like the look of the normal one but in this spec it's been transformed. Looks really cool! If it had more boot space and started under 50 I'd think about it. Btw great test. Loved the more EV details.

Massive upvote for a review of the Abarth 695 and 500e, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale. I love your reviews! Would love to see some more brands other than the big names and cheap Chinese cars
I am a euro car driver, the issue with euro cars, especially their EVs, in comparison to Chinese ones is that they charge double and deliver half. There's no real valid reason to buy an 500e over the much better Chinese counter parts unless you have money to burn and a big fan of the brand.
@passby8070 To be fair I only threw the Abarth 500e in to entice Paul haha, he loves the BEVs, I am on the absolute opposite end of the spectrum. The Chinese cars are very cheap for many reasons and those may not be the apparent from the outset. I could never be a part of owning one, knowing the atrocities that befall the working class over there. They will continue to be exploited so that we have cheap and disposable cars built for obsolescence.
Ah the range for the Ora GT is 400km.
The extended range has 420km.
(Even though they share the same battery).
The standard range has the LFP 48kWh battery with 310km range.
I'm surprised you're struggling with the lane keeping. I've got the std range, and the lane keeping comes on of its own accord at about 55kmh. Cruise control will maintains lane, speed and distance without any drama even with windy roads (Brisbane western freeway e.g.) and hills (automatic breaking)

The lights are actually from the new Mini. They lend it to them in a joint partnership and the electric drivetrain might even be similar in the Mini. The new electric Minis might have borrowed it from GWM Ora

In NZ they do not sell all that well, perhaps the 'look' is too divisive. See lots of MG4s and Dolphins which are priced in the same ballpark. Also the boot is very small.

Gotta hand it to the Chinese, the front looks like a great mix between Porsche 356 and Mini, and the rest of its styling is great. What a shame that it doesn't come in manual with any decent sounding petrol engine. I won't buy it because of that.

As a friend of a roadside assistance technician for this brand I can tell you that at least 3 separate Oras on the port have left guards stranded with electrical issues.
Many more privately owned ones with a host of issues

$50 grand for a chineese made car? 126 KW, 250 Nm. VW Polo GTI with Twincharger made 132 kw, 250 Nm out of a 1.4 lt engine in 2012 at approximately half this price. This chineese made car is waaaaay overpriced plus what they did recently dropping flare which almost hit Aussie chopper, boycott their overpriced crap products.
