Welcome to Chapter 4 of Understanding Medications, where you will begin understanding enzymes and how our medications affect enzymes. In this chapter, we use the proton pump inhibitor Omeprazole, to understand all of the foundational information about enzymes and the effect of drugs on enzymes. We also apply that information to other drugs that affect enzymes.
