Band Geeks is arguably the best episode of SpongeBob SquarePants where Squidward is the main character.

@@captain_deadpoolcx7585nah, I saw the research, I think it's off. Krusty Krab pizza is a good episode, definitely one of the best season 1 episodes. However, I feel as though when compared to the rest of the episodes in season 2 and 3, it's not the definitive SpongeBob experience.
I've always loved how Spongebob can suddenly sing super well when its comedically appropriate.

This song is written and performed by David Glen Eisley, who is married to Oliva Hussey who played Juliet in the 1968 movie "Romeo and Juliet.' This song never went anywhere but when it was performed on Sponge Bob, it shot up the charts to #23. Funny how a song can be around for years but it gets played in a tv show or movie and it becomes popular, like 500 miles by the proclaimers.
So glad people recommended you this one. This one happens to be most people’s favorite episode of the show as a matter of fact and it’s interesting to see a whole new perspective coming from someone who hasn’t seen much of Spongebob before

This makes me want to recommend School of Rock (2003). It’s a really funny movie about a guy who gets kicked out of his band, then impersonates a substitute teacher to get money when he can’t pay the rent for his apartment, but eventually grows attached to the students after hearing them play in music class and decides to enter them into Battle of the Bands.

In the german version, white sedan is actually replaced by a real car model, in that case a Opel Kapitän, which was a luxury car in the 70s.

That’s really neat, I’m only really familiar with Opel through my study of WWII and some top gear clips but they always seemed to have interesting vehicles.
Actually it was written in 1997 by David Glen Eisley and Bob Kulick. It did not do that well until the Sponge Bob episode in 2001 when it hit #23 on the charts.

My favorite episode ever it’s hilarious cleverly written and in the end the town came through together for squidward and squidward was finally happy. Also that freeze frame was so clever like a nod to the 80s movies.

After high school, the community college that I am apart of had a campus band that I was in for 12 years which consisted of people of many different ages so it was kind of a community band. That is until covid unfortunately threw everything out of whack and I don't know if they do it anymore. I miss it.

A few years back the NFL said this song would be played during half time at a super bowl show. People were expecting an actual live band showing up to play this song but instead all they did was show a very short video clip from this episode. I'm not a sports fan but I tuned in for halftime just to see it and I, along with millions of others, felt very let down.

When I was a kid, I always thought there was some whacky conspiracy going on to keep the best episode of spongebob off TV.
Now I know its because of copyright law and paying royalties, this was probably the most expensive episode to air at the time.

If you take suggestions or requests to reacting to video game schools through CZcams or whatever like Baldi, I think you may find enjoyment or interest in two games called "Kindergarten" and "Kindergarten 2"! However, those games are a little violent and get a little crazy for what they visually look like just from looking at them.
Other than that, I enjoy these insightful reactions and definitely learn a lot about schools, especially from the perspective of a graduated homeschooler!

7:47 Apparently the production crew wanted the band to sound authentically bad during this scene so they initially got two men working at the loading docks at a music store to play instruments with no knowledge or practice. Apparently the music that was played was so horrible that Stephen Hillenburg, the creator, rejected the recordings. Instead, they got a professional band to poorly perform a tune.

I see when you talk about a community band. I know a lot of NFL teams have bands and they perform on the field during games at times. I assume it’s like that?
A community band is more like a hobby for people that used to play trumpet, clarinet, etc. it gives them a way of getting together and playing concerts every once in a while, even if they aren’t on the level of a more professional band. 👍
