Just so you know, Pearl is a whale not a shark. But I'm not sure how Mr. Krabs got her. Most likely adopted since I'm pretty sure Mr. Krabs has never had a wife/girlfriend prior to having pearl. There's an episode (or two) that shows a photo of him holding Pearl as a baby. Just the two of them, with no mother in sight.
Steven Hillenburg (the creator of the show) wanted to have every character be a different organism. It’s One of those quirks that doesn’t have a deep explanation.
However there are aspects of the show are biologically accurate once research is done but don’t come off that way due to the comedy being the priority.
@@worldof2ndfluteclarinet353every main character is what he meant. Even Mr. Krabs mother is a Krab.
@@worldof2ndfluteclarinet353 to be fair SpongeBob is a kitchen sponge and his parents and relatives, are sea sponges
1:55 There is actually a scientific explanation for this! The water is a different density than the ocean water, therefore having water in water. Love your videos😁
Back during my high school prom, my grandpa owned a nice black limo, like the typical black limo would see in tv and movies.
Basically, I didn't have rent a limo for my junior and senior proms is what I'm saying.
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts Pearl is really good at understanding crying speech. Especially the whimpering.
This is the episode that introduced Mr. Krab's daughter, Pearl. Fun fact, in later episodes he falls in love with Mrs. Puff. So I guess it's safe to assume interspecies is possible on SpongeBob. There was a episode where Plankton fell in love with Krabs's mom. It doesn't have to make sense. LOL
Don’t forget that Patrick is inbred, and that’s how he’s Gary’s first cousin.
The water within water physics are arguably some of the most controversial things about SpongeBob’s cartoon nature. Even weirder is how ice somehow exists in their universe, even though the salt would make it melt faster.
13:36 At this point of SpongeBob repeating "don't cry" he's more talking to himself rather than Pearl at this point.
Who wishes that the SpongeBob dance was a real thing in high school?
13:58 Pearl:"Sponge, are you okay?"
SpongeBob whimpering through tears. I could discern "Messed everything up."
I'd assume that since Mr. Krabs just asked everyone in the Krusty Krab if they wanted to go with Pearl that:
A. She's probably an 18 year old senior.
B. The restriction of only recent graduates being allowed doesn't exist in Bikini Bottom.
Especially since we know Spongebob and Patrick went to prom at the same time, and we also know that Patrick went to Community College years ago, so they're both well out of high school.
At my prom they had a cop there standing next to the punch cooler to prevent anyone from spiking it.
14:28 SpongeBob: "Let's go!" (He happily runs out of the ladies bathroom grabbing Pearl by her flipper taking her to the dance floor.)
Unlike other reaction videos on Spongebob, this School Principal explains the related topics of the episode e.g. explains about where is prom held and what occurs.
Absolutely! If you like that, watch my other content and consider subscribing too! 😃😃
Have you heard of this movie called "Carie"? It also has to do with high school as well as prom, but it's mostly an example of what happens when bullying goes too far.
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts Make sure it's the original 1976 version.
13:45 Lady fish in white dress: "Wow, what did you do to him?"
13:49 White dress fish: "Poor little guy."
14:04 Pearl: "Don't worry, SpongeBob, you didn't mess everything up."
SpongeBob does his crying and through the whimpering I could discern: "But the hotdog." (I could hear Tom Kenny doing his Dog voice from CatDog.)
14:18 Pearl: "But I am having a good time. You know, we haven't finished our dance yet."
15:55 The male fish telling them to "go wreck someone else's prom" is Tom Kenny speaking in his Heffer voice from Rocko's Modern Life.
13:57 Pearl walks up to the ladies bathroom door. She begins her attempts at trying to console SpongeBob.
I have always found it funny he asks for Pearl's approval to still get to wear his wig. At least she nicely allowed him to wear it.
2:20 Pearl is actually a sperm whale, but I know how confusing this always gets for people. It’s not exactly clear how a crab could raise a whale like that (let alone for 16 or so years) because whales are so much bigger than crabs, so they need to eat more.
14:24 SpongeBob: (whimpering) "Can I still wear the wig?"
I mean I did had a high school prom but thankfully it was a well mannered event and others were respectful towards others and thank god it didn’t turn into a disaster like this one did.
The middle of the record at 14:33 is possibly the same exact color as SpongeBob SquarePants.
13:25 SpongeBob manages to get Pearl to stop crying.
Haha, I remember this episode a lot from when I was a kid, but I don't think I was able to register just how crazy its ending sequence gets until now. Anyway, if you're interested in other prom themed episodes I would recommend "Date with Destiny" from the DC Comics inspired show Teen Titans (from season 2, episode 6). Even my parents were pretty amused by that one!
This episode, like the boating school ones, reflects the awkward compromise the original writers had to make with the network (wanting Spongebob to be an adult w/a job vs a high school student learning to drive). Prom is a big coming-of-age thing here in the states, but im sure they could've told a similar story with college students.
I don't think SpongeBob is ever given a specific age, but the general vibe is that he's a young adult. Old enough to work full time and live on his own, but young enough to not be taken seriously by much older adults. (There's definitely a shift in how older folks percieve you, the closer you get to 30)
To expand on that compromise between the network and writers, although the core idea of Spongebob was settled on him being a young adult the show occasionally ages him up or down for the premise of a specific episode. In "Oral Report", for instance, Spongebob and Mrs. Puff state he is a minor therefore can't be arrested for property damage with his class car. This was also implied in "Doing Time". "Krabby Kronicle" is another ep that said he was underage. Yet other episodes say he's an adult. So Spongebob is ageless in the sense he lends himself to a variety of scenarios. His age isn't static. His age range falls in the 17 to mid 20s line, although his license in seasons 1 and 2 actually said he was 14.
@miragenights801 and then there's stuff like Patrick saying Flats is his "old community college buddy", which would put Spongebob in his early-mid 20s (they're childhood friends, they have to be close in age). Or Spongebob having 374 (31 years of) employee of the month awards, making him 49 minimum in the movie/epilogue, despite Mr.Krabs referring to him as a "kid" (tho it's more a ref to his immature personality).
The series also has no chronological order outside of season 1 when the cast is being introduced. The only thing we know is "Help Wanted" is the first episode and the Spongebob Movie (2006) is the final episode
I'd say generally he has the vibe of an 18-22 year old, barring specific episodes where he's aged up or down. Krabs, Plankton and Puff are middle-aged, Sandy has the vibes of an athletic mid-late-20s newly-grad with a PHD, and Squidward reads as a late-30s guy, not middle-aged but aware he's approaching the tail-end of his youth and is bitter about his lack of accomplishment.
Tbh I always assumed Patrick could be lying about graduating college but it isn't confirmed he was. I remember a frequent aspect of his character is he gasses himself up. Tho Flats was right there talking to him when he claimed they were college classmates so the idea is clear. Can it be an outlier?
Yeah the 347 months is weird. On a fundamental level everyone would be 30 years older yet not only Spongebob but all the characters look, sound, and are in the same exact stage of life they always were which adds to them not following an age system unless the plot calls for them to age. 50-60 yo Krabs after 30 years would be decrepit.
There's little chronology unless you count the spin offs. But for the main show: Truth Or Square and the Krusty Krab Training video give the characters some origin (making the spin offs even more pointless). TOS suggests Spongebob is 2 decades younger than Squidward.
I agree with those classes tho IF you consider anything from Kamp Koral then Sandy is 2-3 years older than SB considering she was a 6th grader while he was 9. Squidward to me is the weirdest case of inconsistency, Kamp Koral wants to play it off like he's only a little older than SB and Patrick but even recent eps give him "old foggy" cracks ("I'd ask how hold he was but he can't count that high" followed by him sighing. From "Chefbob") whereas SB is painted in a youngster light.
@miragenights801 that's fair. I assumed Patrick was just a college dropout, or maybe he took adult workshop classes and hung around campus for a while. He never mentioned graduating.
It's like how Homer Simpson is a 33-year-old man in 1989, but has memories of being a teenager in the 90s. Spongebob is 15-20 years younger than Squidward, but they went to summer camp together as kids. If a series airs long enough, relying on episodic stories with no structured plot, these inconsistencies are inevitable. ("floating timeline") At least the early season inconsistencies can be explained by the writers' compromise.
I don't consider Kamp Koral "canon" mostly due to it being made against Hillenberg's wishes. At best, it's a reboot/AU in my view.
According to a photo of an episode where he gets a drivers license(it doesn’t last long) Spongebobs posted birthday states hed be 36 in 2023 but the movie has an important plot point regarding everyone calling him a child….basically what im saying is even the writers don’t know how old spongebob is ;) 😂
They actually called him a kid in the movie, a term commonly used with those who are just entering adulthood (especially if the person saying it is a lot older). That means SpongeBob is 18-25.
Lol!
Actually that episode (Nautical Novice) is coming the week of Thanksgiving! 🦃
What I wonder is during the scene when SpongeBob is having trouble reaching the punch, because of his legs, why didn’t he simply adjust the size of them like he did when he went to Mr Krabs’ house? Was that as low as they could go?
Its Great you watch this show and whole episodes Its really funny i lauathing at the song do the sponge😂😊
13:22 Pearl starts to tear up.
Mr. Krabs probably adopted Pearl.
I do agree with you about the age range of those who aren’t students being allowed. Although surprisingly in my senior year I knew a girl (18) who was dating a 25 year old and surprisingly the school allowed it.
Wait till you see them light FIRES
My prom was at a place called the Richard Renaissance Atrium. Another good video
Yeah, SpongeBob ain't the only underwater based show to have water (heck, there's one that I take more frustrations with). But the show creator's defense would be the likes of a brine lake, which is saltier than the rest - I first heard of it via a show called Octonauts. Hence the beach location, Goo Lagoon.
5:06 I don’t know how SpongeBob switched out with the dummy but it reminds me Nick Fury in an episode of Avengers: World’s Mightest Heroes where he had an android decoy of himself to escape from the villain Graviton.
can you imagine how gross spongebob actually would be if he was a house sponge? It collects so much gunk.
1:10 that pause tho 😂😂
I can't wait you review and make a reaction on Movies in the future. School of Rock and Metal Lords are my favorite. Keep it up, enjoying every content so far 😁❣❤
8:56 I’m from Shreveport and during my senior year my school had the homecoming in the cafeteria surprisingly. Then the prom was at a Bossier Civil Center.
My wife told me her prom was at a hotel.
2:20 Actually Pearl is a whale. I’m assuming Mr. Krabs married a whale awhile back.
Gets pretty weird in SpongeBob but I can’t actually point fingers. In the book I’m writing with anthropomorphic animals in it I got a dog named Brownny flirting with a cat named Emily 😅
In the part of Canada where I live we don’t have proms or highschool dances. We have middle school dances and we have safe grad which is basically prom just for the graduating class after their ceremony. I didn’t go to mine partly because of Covid and partly because I needed to stay for an few credits so I technically didn’t graduate and felt embarrassed and afraid if I went to any of the events my classmates would ask me about it. I didn’t go the year I officially graduated again because of Covid but also because I only spent a year with that class versus all the years I spent with the other and didn’t feel like I’d fit in and also still felt embarrassed about not graduating on time.
Where I live we don’t have prom we have a ceremony with a dinner afterwards and are family come
Mt school was small we had less them 20 students in the grad class although even bigger schools in the district didn’t have proms
In real life I did see underwater rivers
1:43 not sure about the tears specifically, that could just be a classic cartoon trope, but there is such things as water underwater, such as in SpongeBob, there is the goo Lagoon, which actually is like other things in real life. There is bodies of water that have denser and heavier amounts of elements and chemicals, and other things inside of them, which make them heavier and more dense than the surrounding water, and thus kind of separated.
7:22 I just realized there’s a whole episode on SpongeBob not remembering how to tie his shoes but then he just does it here. Casually I get it’s a cartoon and SpongeBob never really has much of a continuity cannon consistency but still that’s kind of funny.
Gosh, darn it AutoCorrect and voice to text never types what I want it to type
SpongeBob is an adult.
I never went to prom because of Covid-19 I was pretty sad about it I never got it pick out a dress. They also canceled a senior year class trip to Disney Land. I was pretty upset I hope others can enjoy there proms in the future.
Yes, your class unfortunately didn’t get to do some of these things…… I’m sorry!
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts It's fine i'm thinking of making my own prom one day for the students that missed it.
Presumably any “water” shown is densely saturated brine, which forms distinct pools on the ocean floor.
In episode The Chaperone Tom Kenny voices every speaking male except for Mr. Krabs.
Pearl is a whale not a shark. Aside from that it was a good video 😂
4:12 during senior year, my friend Anshelia and I got a picture together as teacher’s pet.
When you’re talking about the water as they are underwater when Pearl cried I thought of Goo Lagoon. How can there be another body of water under the water?😂
Also, I thought of the one where SpongeBob and Patrick run away on free balloon day and they have to build a fire when Patrick said “if we’re underwater how could there be a?”
And then the fire goes out .
When I was a junior in high school, both my parents decided it was a BRILLIANT idea for me to buy a prom ticket for one of my dad's friends, a grown man, that I didn't know. I don't even know what this man looked like to this day. My parents just thought it was better for me to go with someone they knew and trusted. Of course, the lady selling me the tickets told me no and said it was stupid. When I told my mother, she said the school was stupid. I had an excuse. I was a sheltered minor with controlling parents. My parents had no excuse. This was in around 2006-ish, by the way. I didn’t get to go to Junior Prom. My parents tried to have a party where I'd dress up in a gown and take pictures, but it was really a small cookout where my grandparents showed up and maybe one or two other family members I don't know. I refused to leave my room out of embarrassment. I was able to go to Senior Prom because I actually had a date in this time. I met him at the school. He danced half a song's worth with me and refused to dance anymore. Nobody else danced with me. I wore a bridesmaid's dress from the 1990s because my parents were also cheap, but at least I thought I looked kind of cute.
Hey! I’m sorry you had that experience. Many of us had less than ideal prom experiences during school, apparently! 😂
@SchoolPrincipalReacts Eh, it's okay. I'm too grown to obsess now. Lol
Ah yeah. The episode when someone in their 20s, takes a 16 year old on a date to prom. Definitely a weird one 😅
Yes, Spongebob was 20 something, while Pearl was 16
In german the episode is called "Dance the Sponge"
We are talking physics about a show where they can make a fire - underwater. It then goes out once Patrick points out the nonsense xD
The episode isn't really about teaching, but more about morale. It is called Life of Crime.
If 4 thousand people saw this why isn’t their 4 thousand subscribers? This dude is amazing.
Some less TV-14 suggestions than my last one:
The Simpsons - Homer Goes to College (written by Conan O'Brien)
SpongeBob - Procrastination
Hey Arnold! - Back to School, Teachers' Strike, Principal Simmons, New Teacher (there are so many good ones, not expecting you to cover them all or anything for that matter, just making suggestions)
King of the Hill - No Bobby Left Behind
Prom episode is a classic
Can you do some "All Hail King Julien" episodes? The episode "Revenge of the Prom" is about a high school reunion, but it's prom themed for some reason so there'd be elements of that. Check it out.
Also, the new Disney junior show "Eureka!" has a school episode too, "Absoflutely Fabulous"... I know it's for elementary students, but that's probably the animator's idea of the world's first school setting (especially since the title character is the one who invented the wheel), so that is worth seeing and reacting to.
This episode is much funnier than I remember 🤣🤣
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts The Chaperone is an excellent episode. Including when Pearl restores SpongeBob's confidence. She successfully cheered him up.

Yes, for some reason I had it in my head that she was a shark. I just kept wondering how she came from a crab. Maybe she was adopted? 😂
I recommend checking out the first episode of Naruto. It shows the title character attending a school setting.
Edit: 8:51 Totally, since I live in a more rural area my prom was at a farm.
I didn't go to prom, but I do have an interesting school dance story. When I was a sophomore my crush asked me to our schools winter dance, I'd never been asked to go to a dance and even better it was my crush so I was hyped! So we go and it's awesome we're having a great time then he said he wanted to tell me something big. In my mind I was thinking he was gunna ask me out, well it turns out he wanted to come out to me. So me being a hormonal teenage girl I was crushed cause that meant we would never date. But I told him that I was proud of him for coming out and be himself! And we stayed best friends and we have even kept in contact to this day! Looking back at it I'm very flattered that we were so close that he felt comfortable enough with me to come out to me! 😊❤
You know, I bet you’re lucky that you’re the principal. Because imagine if you find out that your child had their prom date stood up. That’s probably enough of an excuse to find a reason to suspend the person who did so.
You should react to tutor sauce if you want to see SpongeBob’s work life as well as some driving lessons in the same episode
There is one in the black sea
Besides my last suggestion of Three O' Clock high to review, another film would be The Breakfast Club. Two films to look forward to reacting to.
You should react to “Here come the boom”(2012) starring Kevin James, great moments in and out of the classroom between the teachers and students
SpongeBob has been around since 1999 and till today it is still a mystery how Mr Krabs got pearl as his daughter but according to Google he was married to female whales which name is not identify
i wish i could say something, but no, i've got to comment on how many others beat me to the punching bag first
I remember my junior prom I had razor nicks at first I wore barbasol after shave my date said I had a smooth face
13:53 Do you have crazy students that just walk in the girls bathroon 😅🚽♀️
I know you work in Georgia, but can you give me some advice. What should I do now to become an administrator/principal? Besides get my masters/admin credential.

Ah yes, I remember - you watch my video during lunch! 😂
What you can do now is get valuable experiences that you can talk about later in interviews. Volunteer for things, especially things that put you in charge of something, no matter how small. Your school probably also has a leadership team with teachers on it, as well as other working groups. Take every opportunity to be a part of such work. And yes, of course, your degree in educational leadership/administration. 👍
This wasn’t one I was thinking of… the spongebob dance was not a thing at prom either! Still trying to remember the episode titles you should do
2:18 pearl is a whale, and the good assumption is that Mr. Krabs simply adopted her, but there is darker theories
Actually this is Season 1 Episode 24 and not 12, it just that Amazon Prime and Paramount put 2 episodes in one
Pearl a whale not a shark 😆
There is such thing being lairs of water in oceans I forgot what it's called.
Yeah, there are quite a few things in SpongeBob that you have to just go with

I got a good school related episode of SpongeBob you can react to. The really first episode of SpongeBob went to boating school. It's called Boating school. It's a good episode
Apparently there is water that is denser than the surrounding waters creating a underwater ocean.
You should react to midway run from bobs burgers season 5, it’s a very interesting school episode
Shark? I thought you were a teacher lol

Hey keep up the amazing work, I have some ideas that might work like the Fresh Prince of Bel air has certain School related episodes, Drake and Josh, Sabrina the teenage witch has some good school episodes, I think the Cramp Twins has some not 100%, Hey Arnold, Saved by the bell, i think some from Buffy the Vampire slayer even hope it helps thanks again
Thanks! Drake and Josh as well as Hey Arnold are high up on the list! 👍
in case you're curious, Pearl called Octavious Rex a pizza topping because he's an anchovy. yes, anchovies are characters in SpongeBob and for the most part all they say is "meep".
Yes! Makes sense. 😀
@@SchoolPrincipalReacts Pearl really knew the right words to say. She felt sympathy for SpongeBob. Her own friend caused her to feel sorry for him.
