Speed Racer Answering Machine

So around 1993 (before the internet) I wrote to David Lane Seltzer who owned the rights to Speed Racer. I told him I wanted to write the feature film script for a live action Speed Racer movie. I came home from work one day and heard the following on my answering machine.
It still took another 15 years to get the film made and I think my story would have been WAY better than what we got. I wanted to do a story about Speed Racer grown up and working a white collar job as an executive at a car company. He gets back on track, exposes corporate corruption, races and fights bad guys.
It would have been a bit "darker" like the Christian Bale "Batman" movies.
A hero named "Speed"
A girlfriend named "Trixie"
A mask wearing undercover agent named "Racer X"
Think of the possibilities.....
Oh and there was another surprise message around the same time on my machine.
