This is reminding me of Kenshi but more focused on colony building. Wouldn't mind showcasing more of this on an episode 2!
Man, if you use the K word I’m gonna be doubly interested....
I think it look like Outpost from the 1990's
@Mcarthy Wasright " kenshi 2"
Just wait another decade.
@@JarthenGreenmeadow rimworld will hold me over till then :)
soo it wasn't just me?
Comments: we want a series!
Splattercat: we don’t do that here
Actually that's one of the reasons I follow this channel because he shows up games always something new
I too become deeply upset when my reproduction organ is exposed.
Usually it's other people that become deeply upset when my reproductive organs are exposed. :(
So you don't bath? 😶
@@himselfe You have more than one?
@@rasmusazu Potential hermaphrodite, or female. Tits are technically a reproductive organ as they're required to feed a baby.
@@orangedream267 haha, they're not
Seems like this has potential, but definitely needs a "disable all the graphical bullshit" option.
It now has the ability to turn off all the graphical things or so they said
we have cloning and space travel down pat. but we can't send pants...
Some sacrifices have to be made to get the big boss his new gold plated zero G olympic swimming pool.
Budget cuts...
You're just going to take them off anyway...
it wasn't in the budget
Dude, thank you for featuring this, absolutely love it. Has a few issues as to be expected but is otherwise a fantastic project.
This is why i love your content man, you really go the extra mile to show these hidden gems. You are probably the creator that has made me buy games the most
This game looks dope like a rim world meets that mars space builder actually thought the graphics were cool different to some other survival colony builders
Nothing says "far future", like punching trees with bare hands!
Warhammer40k resource aquisition style :D
Nothing says "far future" more than "there is only WAR!".
something something world war 3 something something world war 4 sticks and stones - le ebin father of atomic sciences quote
which is a stupid statement if you think about it for more than half a second because you've been nuked to stone age, you really don't have the technology or logistical infrastructure to fight a truly global war till you get back into steam/combustion engine territory again
unless massive empires spanning like a third or three quarters of known landmass duking it out counts as a world war, but then the last one would have been like WW63 or something
"we have access to wooden things" -- you mean, trees?
aren't we the Rhodes scholar
Kill-kill wood-things!
I could be wrong but I think the idea behind the ascetic and lack of manual control of colonists is that the powers that be have a satellite feed that they use to monitor your progress and are only able to advise you on what needs to be done. Also, it's likely that you are not the first group of colonists sent to your planet which would explain the chickens and stuff.
the game literally tells you you are not the first... and that they sent other groups first but they were wiped out.
This seems really cool. I’d like to see more!
That visual style is... weird. It's like... when I saw it for the first 30 seconds, I was like "oh, that's kinda cool". But when he switched the view to the actual colony, and I realized it's a permanent thing, and the game looks like that the whole time, I was like "oh my god, no, that's disgusting".
Makes me slightly sick watching it.
XP booster on a rocket - clever wording!
As for camera mode, they throw my least favorite options like chromatic aberration, lens flare and film grain.
Is it just me, or does this seem like a more 3D Rimworld?
Kinda
Like Kenshi and RimWorld
If I could have the colony building and simplistic looks of rimworld with the big open world of kenshi I would never ever EVER go outside again
Evering Hall makes two of us
@@everinghall8622 why not the looks and world of Kenshi with the mechanics of Rimworld?
Looks like it gets the basics down in a solid manner, the art style is indeed rather original, an interesting title no doubt.
The stylisation is nice, the UI looks nice, but the glitching effects are jarring. Looks like an interesting game though!
the glitch effect definitely needs a toggle, no questions asked
240p PTSD
It made me feel just a little motion sick and that basically never happens for me. Might be a combination with youtube compression though.
It's just fucking awful. How someone thought this was a good idea is beyond me.
I would love to see more of this on CZcams!
"First world ordeal", I love it hehe
I think I need to see more of this game to get a good idea of it.
Concerning now clothes: If all their clothes together weighed 10 pounds, then that is 10 pounds of something more important that could be included.
Looks good, but it is odd. They come from a space station with facilities advanced enough to 3D print spacecraft and clone people and then they land on a hostile planet with 3 apples, a couple of bananas and a water bottle? I mean...they don't seem to have even brought clothing on their backs?!
how much chromatic abberation we should put in the game?
yes
Employee: ...Boss??
Boss: *YES!*
Well damn, Now I went and bough the game. Thanks for the preview.
Wow! Did he say Pixel Piracy?! This is the first time I've ever heard that game mentioned. Freaking love it
So it seems like it's majesty in space, with survival elements.
I want to watch more of this game and please continue this gameplay.
Hmmm, I like these kind of games! Interesting hidden little gem!
reminds me of Rimworld with the way the pawns control themselves through jobs you set up.
Definitely added to my games list. Thanks splatty
I agree with you about the visuals, its super cool... until your eyeballs start to hurt.
12:28 Rename them to the nudist colony crisis averted.
I would really like to see a bit more of this
i would like to watch this some more splat
This sounds like a game in a similar world to "Old Man's War" from John Scalzi~
Beautiful. Interesting premise. Gonna wait for steam ea.
Looks kinda like a classic survival game (rust, ark) from above as a strategy / sim game. Neat.
I would love to see an episode 2 from you!
I can see why they said earliest access, definitely got potential going on but I think it needs a lot more time in the development oven
Wasn't Pixel Piracy abandoned and never finished? I wonder how this game is going to turn out.
Pixel Piracy was abandoned because Quadro Delta went bankrupt, from what i understand this is made by different studio/publisher with same dev? From what i found Studio Devolver digital did quite a few great AND finished indie games (Carrion, Fall guys, Broforce, Hotline Miami)
I'm wondering that too. Looks like this time the developer acknowledges that it's a one man band and will take it easy... I recommend reading through Steam's forums before buying.
And people that made Pixel Piracy later made Pixel Privateers that was ALSO abandoned and never finished..
@@Tanatonis you might see my other post but the reason they stopped was because of lots of infighting and legal battle between him and the others, this AFAIK its the same dev that made those claims but he made it sound like he did nothing about it but complain, he contradicted himself a lot when going over "what happened"
@@joedirtakabruce He also posted an "explanation" on Reddit about what happened, with claims that he would follow up with more detail. He ended up disappearing and/or ignoring anyone asking any questions that poked holes in his comments.
I'm liking this. Seems quite cool.
The game is pretty good so far. I would like it to be less pixelated when you're actually playing it, like your satellite view becomes clear or something.
I think they added the ability to turn off the pixelation, I put some research into the game and they made it pixel like because their last came (pixel piracy) was, well, pixelated.
29:00 NEW enemy located. . . is the enemy behind the duck? NO, you fool, the enemy IS the duck!
Looks cool, weird you can't find it in the app, thanks for the link :p.Thanks for the discovery.
You had me at hats.
Gracius of the developers to put me in their game.
Survival Chance: HARD
This reminds me a LOT or clockwork empires. I hope the devs don't abandon it the way they did that game
Seems like a fun game. You thinking about streaming it on your Twitch channel in the future?
hey Splat. If you ever need to buy a game and have the URL but dont want to use the browser, you just load up another game, open the overlay (shift-tab), hit community and you can paste the url there and itll count as you being logged in. I use this on games that i use a wiki on but dont like alt-tabbing. (You can make a URL appear on the main steam client by middle mousing stuff but the URL is locked and cant be edited)
edit: Also, i just saw someone elses post. you can go big picture mode and use the browser in there.
Colony managing through a 1987 security camera...
This game looks very cool. I hope that you showcase a second episode.
It's also wierd how the building reminds me of fallout 4 or ark survival evolved. This is a cool little gem of a game.
the size of that guys tool is really impressive
this is interesting, seems similar to Rimworld, which isn't a bad thing. Would like to see more if you're willing.
This game have potential. If it mod support the same as Rimworld. Would love to see the final product
I’d like a small play through on this I’m super interested
Ragnorium is now available in early access on Steam.
nice game! thank you so much for this upload 🍷🍹
Bruh, you gotta do another episode of this. It has Doo-Doo monsters!!!
this game looks a thousand times better than rimworld so far, hope they get the gameplay right in the final release
Two men and one woman sent to colonize a world. Donny is good at combat. If it were real, Hanon would be dead inside a week. Probably from an "accident". Can't have the only woman on the planet thinking we are a monster now can we.
3D Rimworld. Thats nice.
I find the other 3d rimworld he covered last week to look far superior. Would not know about gameplay though
@@StalkinUwhat was it called? I need another colony sim to play while my rimworld colony runs in the background :D
3D Rimworld? Consider me intrigued.
This reminds me very much of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.
It more like you were "CURSED" to play this game escaping the "HOLY CRUSADE"
Video starts at 4:38 then there are 4 minutes of setup. Actual gameplay starts around 8:45.
Dev: so in the distant future I think Mexico will have fused with the US
Player: okay... kinda weird but not totally implausible. What about Canada then?
Dev: disappeared in a mini black hole
Player: what the f-
Dev: same for all of South America and Oceania
Player: right... ok, let's forget about that for a second. What about Europe?
Dev: ...
Player: what?
Dev: you're not gonna like this
Player: *sigh* alright just tell me already
Dev: I fused Europe and Africa
Player: you did WHAT? Ugh... Fine, whatever. Please tell me you got Asia right at least.
Dev: well, it's just Russia and China now really
Player: THAT'S... wait, that's pretty accurate actually. Oh well, it's something, I guess
It looks like they made a good looking, modern game then noticed pixel-based games were popular and used a filter instead of starting from scratch.
Can you believe this is a game made from just one developer?
Me read te title
Also me: burn in holy fire
You are the only one that have a video out on this game.
nettle undys, ouch, stinging nettle is not used for clothing unless your desperate. because, ya know, stings

"Survival - Homeopathy"
uh....kay? I'm sure nothing bad could possibly come from trusting your survival on homeopathy.
Don't worry, we can back it up with astrology.

This game looks interesting, it's like rimworld but 3d
it seems slow paced but non the less interesting. i want to see how it progresses. it will defenetly be fun
Can't pause the game? Well, I can strike this one off my list, then.
But that's a _good_ thing, since I've got more games than I can play, already!
Time for another crusade
Feels like Unclaimed World, hope it plays better.
Cool
This looks really cool as far as gameplay goes but that visual filter they have on it is a no go. I sadly could no even finish the video because it was hurting my eyes. Someone should smack the dev that thought that crap was a good idea.
7:50 is a close up shot of some cabbages..... ok then
Any chance this will get another episode / follow up in the New Year?
Love this kind of game any sugestion?
Can you assign orders when paused? The game looks good but I prefer strategy games that have the tactical pause option
The look is very much like Maia.
Did you check the graphic stuff? because the first review on steam talked about grahical changes that are now possible.
god damn, those are pretty massive junks...
I dont mind those graphics. It is not like I have a 100% vision either.
Shake that tree.
On the steam page it says: "Notice: At the request of the publisher, Ragnorium is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search." Since it's early access maybe they aren't ready to show it yet unless you know of it already.
Please episode 2!:3
Might not be on Steam, due to Devs requests for right now. Maybe that want to just Polish up the game before actually Releasing to the people. Being that it is Early Access still. Which I always think will be a good idea. Wanting to at least make the game as Stable as possible. Not alot of Hiccups along the way.
I purchased the devs last two games (pixel piracy and pixel privateers) and will not be making the same mistake here, will be waiting to see if the game is actually finished and not containing any game breaking bugs before even considering a purchase. Everyone should check out the Steam pages for the last two games to see if they want to roll the dice on this one.
it looks like command and conquer tiberium wars 3 style graphics
Somehow I can't find this game on the Steam app when I search the name. Need to use ur link to wishlist it, why thou
He said in the beginning that the game is unlisted
I wonder how many other "Hidden" steam games are out there like this....
Probably a lot. It usually takes them around 2 months to reply to developers when they e-mail them with issues like these. They'll definitely still take 30% of the total sales for the game, though. And then people start screaming and cry about other distributors existing because their tendies come in a different colour box. Whatever Steam might have been in 1992, it's certainly a shit company with shit ethics today.
Update: My gripes against steam aside, a bit of cursory research indicates that the developers requested to have the title hidden from the main store and I stand corrected on that specific instance, but not on any of the other things I said.
It looks like a more sim focused Kenshi, which I can appreciate. I've spent so many hours on Kenshi that I should be ashamed.
You should be ashamed!
Kenshi rocks, no shame.
Why was it taken off from steam? I wanted to buy it but it’s gone and u can only find it via google search. And even when u find it it states that is was taken of by request?
This is what developers should do if they want to avoid steams 30% cut.
The reason its unlisted and you can only buy it through other sites is because steam doesn't take a cut from those sales, which is basically a checkmate for Epic's flagship justification.
