Dwarf Fortress, * not * Dungeon Keeper. Very little of the gameplay or game mechanics in this video resembles DK1 or DK2 .

I didn't care for this video much. Which is surprising because Splat's videos usually rock. Although I wish they were a bit longer a lot of the time. It didn't give me a very good idea on how to play it or what we were supposed to be doing besides playing a bunch of cards and hoping we take down the enemies base before they take down ours 🤷🏻‍♂️.

this looks worth my time i think the combat looks great. super fast twitchy combat is meh... this game looks better with tactical, slower combat imo

I hope it comes with the option of an actual paperback game instruction manual like those old school micro prose games

Asking "What does this card do?" while looking at the description of a completely different card and then stating "This game needs a better tutorial" is peak Splatter.

I love the Tropico games, even though I've never managed to get very far into one, and this very much looks like Tropico with piracy added on, which I will admit Tropico 2 was that, but with far less piracy content. In short, this game looks pretty cool.

Rogue-Like gamers are complaining about all the Rogue-Lite, progression based twinstick shooters apparently. I'm sitting here like "can I have more twinstick games that are not rogue or shooter?". If anyone wants to illuminate my ignorance to some examples you'd be doing me a favor.

Play "Before We Leave" it's the devs previous game almost a prequel.

Tired it, got the unfair upkeep sleghammer, deinstalled. No my kind of RNG puzzle game. How is it that hard to just copie a neat deckbuilding game like RL MTG and just let me build fun 60 card decks and test it in some kinde of trial and have fun? How does it ALWAYS have to be RNG 5D chess mix-em-ups with Loosing-is-fun mechanics? - Im geeting jaded after so many years of floods of samey-games.

CZcams compression isn't doing that game any favors.

Oh god what it is with games with them having cards for all kinds of things? god it's HORRID... any game with cards just massively blows. Never played a single good one and I've played a lot. Ultimately they're always just way too gamey for me and feel like a 90s boardgame or sth... PASS

The game looks awesome in the first 4 min, and a cool premise. Also excellent to see a NZ based developer releasing games.

I don't think the target audience for this kind of game wants the onramp into gameplay to be slow. Losing gloriously is half the fun.

This game is like a giant Costco bucket of macaroni and cheese in game form. It's not at all sophisticated, it will make you feel sick and destroy your ability to poop right. But then one day you're going to find yourself craving that fake cheese sauce and a giant heap of carbs.
