I believe the Halo AI was always intended for an RTS. I think that is why the interactions are so interesting.
Halo ce was going to be an rts at some point, which definitely explains the ai and amount of different factions. Pretty cool
It's just really good game design.. God I miss Bungie.
It would be dope if someone used the map High Ground to make a fort Defense; covenant attacking, UNSC defending.
Thats what I was trying to do yesterday, started watching tutorials for that exact purpose lol

Halo and Bioshock 1 always had such impressive AI to me.
I didn't expect the Covenant to do as well as it did. In my memory an elite & marine combo absolutely devistated them on easy and normal difficulty.
Yeah, that's why. This is set to Heroic or Legendary. The Elite and Marine AI don't get that much better as the difficulties go up because of how much better they are on Easy and Normal. Besides Elites had to be toned down, because if we had Halo 2 Elites following us around they'd never die lol especially Ultras

@@courdell7426 They're definitely not. Besides the reason they aren't shooting as fast as typical on Heroic is due to the amount of AI on screen at once. Besides, again, the games engine is built on Heroic difficulty and then scaled up and down. I see no reason for him to change the difficulty when he himself isn't playing and literally every single other AI battle is set to Heroic unless specified otherwise, due to that being How the game was made. That's how the multiplayer is. That's how everything is.
@@courdell7426 They're not affecting the damage, they're clearly taking damage akin to Heroic. There being too many AI on screen means that the AI aren't able to do what they normally do because the Engine is being stressed. The Brutes shields are also really weak, especially to Plasma like other shields.

I'm gonna say those brutes aren't on legendary difficulty because they'd be ripping those marines a new one. Still a cool fight to watch
Wish they had rocket launchers and Spartans to balance the fight cause UNSC did not stand a chance against the gravity hammer
I’ve been leaning modding for a couple of weeks now and I don’t think you can add a Spartan as AI since the only Spartan in the campaign is chief which you play as, sergeant Johnson could’ve been added tho since he’s a lot more tankier than normal marines from what I’ve tested.

For this video I used the AI battle map mod in the description. In my latest videos I used halo 3 official mod tools.
