- Join the concrete crew as we begin a new project with a really nice overlay of an existing stoop and a new colored and stamped patio with a brand new pattern. This was a relatively small project but sometimes the small ones can be more profitable than the big ones depending on how it goes. I really hope the weather improves soon as we are struggling with the weather. I am hoping that all the rain is coming now and will make way for a nice dry summer. Enjoy

Man that siren echoing though the sky with the camera pointed at those pitch black clouds was the best horror movie I've seen this year. Victory Outdoor Services Presents: "Twisters 2; Where's Annie?" 😂
Yeah exactly what I was thinking lol !!
Big ray the informer. He rings Ryan more than his wife does
Ringing Ray!
Francisco stepping up again! Dude is the salvage of the crew. Without him things would be rough. Ryan's already doing the most- granted it is his name on the business,- but without Francisco Ryan would be stressed way more. Kuddos for being a real one Francisco
When Eric isn’t there he’s a lot better too!
@@Kendvwg I'm not knocking Eric. Just praising the silent strong one in Francisco
34:47 I just shot water out my nose when you said it, “It went something like this: 7bag low… CONCRETE’S ORDERED!”… thanks for the laugh Ryan!
Big rays going to end up costing Ryan a lot of money ..
Pretty sure he already is lol
Ryan is always driving around with the gas light on 😂
and the engine light
Ryan you know exactly what it is. It comes down to laziness.
Hey, that’s the foam that Mike found on the highway. 😂😂
I love thunderstorms! I go sit out on my porch with a coffee or a soda and just relax, watch the light show and listen to the sounds of the rain.
We get some pretty awesome storms here in eastern Colorado. I do the same!

22:46 Ray's opinion on the cost vs the amount of gravel and Ryan's' response, lol.

28:34 Ray got stuck then tries to describe the tool used...fails. then suggests they get one for the yard.
29:26 "Let me see that BLOWER" Ray tries to hand Ryan the BOARD.
31:32 Ray claims to be able to drink 1gallon at one time...we'll see. He doesn't sound very confident.
31:54 Ray claims he's FULL...continues eating
32:24 More of Ray and his awkward laugh
32:32 Getting saved by momma bear
33:08 Ray looks really uncomfortably full...might have to go from Big Ray to Really Big Ray.
36:05 and...Ray's blocking the street.
40:33 Ray giving some pumps, told that's enough, gives more pumps, que awkward laugh.
47:19 The beginning of Ray's dilemma with caution tape.
48:00 Ray's dilemma ends with Ryan's advice, saved again from having to figure it out himself. Poor Ray.
49:26 Ray misdials Ryan by mistake...hardly...he wanted to squeal on Carlito.
Started out kinda slow and thought Ray would have an uneventful day...nope.
please keep on doing these report's 😂
😂😂 love this but your gonna be a busy man if you plan on doing this on every video
👍
Ray a B
This is funny
Love your approach on every job. No matter how big or small, you look for perfection.
Ray when talking about subway looked like he was about to blame Tino for not being able to finish lol never his fault always someone else’s.
These hour long videos are a blessing Ryan. Thank you and your crew for all of your hard work!
I agree if they cannot follow directions as far as the safety of the trucks then you should withhold there bonus or part of it. It seems like some of them are just in a rush to get done to go do whatever after work and it's not right. Like you said before it only takes one bad incident to really hurt your business.
I think that’s a great idea about loosing bonuses if something isn’t strapped down on the trucks or like Ray just said felt is coming off onto the freeway. You should only explain once and when they drive whatever vehicle it is their responsibility to get from A to B with no accidents or mishaps. They are very lucky to get that bonus just for timekeeping. I wish my boss was like you. As I’m from UK. I’m sure my boss is from the Victorian era. If we had a chimney he would have us climbing inside to clean it. 😂👍🏻🇬🇧
Ryan, you're a good guy and a great boss; the thing is, there are a couple or so, of guys on your crew that just don't care and that's why they "forget". Maybe use bonuses at the end of the year for being good employees. You've got a good heart. Grandma from Texas.
I agree with you 100%. You should give them one last warning, then take away the bonus for anyone doing unsafe work. That's your money and business they're messing with. Felt probably won't break a window, but that's your money down the drain. Not to mention it costs you MORE because then you have to stop at Home Depot again because you're out. Safety is no joke, and some of them simply aren't taking it seriously. You shouldn't have to do a walk around of all of your trucks twice a day. The driver needs to do it every time prior to getting into the driver's seat. Take away that bonus once or twice and I bet they'll change that bad behavior.
I would say that he was very lucky it was simply felt that went off the truck....since well...would hate to imagine them not tying down one of the machines as that would then probably be the worst case scenario for one of those to go off the trailers.
So I would say instead of bonus getting taken away.....they gotta repay whatever is lost on top if bonus is already gone or if the bonus money doesn't even cover the cost of said lost item. That way while it's an oospie if it's felt they just lose the bonus or times afterwards they pay for new felt....not that much change out of their pockets compared to thousands of dollars worth of equipment from not making sure the bucket on the mini excavator isn't tied down. Because as said previously Ryan is responsible and going to be the one slapped hardest if something one of the employees does or doesn't do if it causes harm or damage to someone else, there is no reason for them to not feel that they do have their jobs on the line if they suspect that they might have messed up big time.
@@PDjargon not sure how it is in wiscosin but here in virginia you can't charge an employee for that, you can fire them but you cant charge them
The felt wont break a window but 100% if that flies out and hits someone they're gonna panic and swerve and could potentially crash.
I doubt the bonus is that big of a deal for the guys. They were living without it before, which means they could live without it again.
Oh Ray 🤦🏽♀️ you’re killing me
Ryan I been watching you and concrete with the Hauses and Tom never has to tell his crew what to do they just do it
Ryan, for the trucks maybe try a checklist they have to go through and sign off whenever they take a truck out for the day.
Ryan: frustrated ranting about accountability
also Ryan: Oh! theres our felt!:D
made me chuckle LOL
Carlito lowkey becoming the funniest crew member

I love your mom it really makes me think of my mom your a lucky man to have someone so special and sweet wishing y’all the best 🙏
Ryan as a retired driver and owned my own business one thing i done was make sure my drivers had responsibility of the truck they drove and a pretrip form was filled out every morning even if it wasn't long hauls. Drivers i had took pride in there trucks if anything was wrong with them they would report it and it was fixed immediately. Well good luck.
Dot would be happy to see that when they get pulled over
I was thinking something the same. Have a form for every morning and before heading home. They have to sign off on it so if it's not done properly you know who is at fault and can discipline accordingly
Same sort of system we have at my place I get to take mine home with me but fill in paper work every week on maintenance and milage
@louhthewildman Discipline?? Ryan's crew doesn't know the MEANING of the word & they NEED A WHOLE LOT OF self-discipline!!

Oh man I love the sound of Tornado Sirens. So eery with that black clouds coming over.
lot happened in this episode but the ending i thought was really cool, i love storms. looked wicked.
Love the drawing the girl did. Talented for sure. Also small jobs like today is good Day for Teaching the guys. Only if they learned.
Ryan, you remind me of a boss I had when I was young guy, Angelo( Chuck) catafamo. One of the best men I've ever met, He was roommates with Nolan Ryan as a pitcher on the Mets farm team. But he blew out his arm. And needed tommmy john surgery . But back in those days they didn't have TJ. So he became the best mason I ever new. We poured so much concrete together. and blocks and bricks. He was from hudson falls ny. He's gone now, but not forgotten that's for sure. It was his positive attitude everyday. Your doing great work
I'm 61 now,and just like Chuck taught me I still work every day doing Masonry and Carpentry loving life. smiling. being nice. And being grateful for the people I've known in my life. Happy birthday by the way. And I'll see you on your next video. Doing great kid!

Ray called Ryan by mistake............ Sure!!!!
He just use to call him so he on speed dial lol
Ray is going to be the down fall for the eating contest
That castle stone looks REALLY good. I'd love a whole driveway done with that.
Also I agree with the other commenter who said you should teach autumn to back a trailer. It's a great skill to have, and may come in handy for her later in life.
As for the weather... We're at the tail end of an El Niño ocean current and transitioning to a La Niña ocean current. That causes more severe weather in the eastern half of the United State. This winter is going to be really bad, on the order of what we got in 1993 & 1996, 2010, 2017... So make sure your snow equipment is all 100% for this year's plowing
Those storm clouds looked like mountains in the distance! Wild!
Congrats to autumn on a job well done in school
I aint going to lie, I think Cisco should be your new right hand man.
Growing up in Gurnee I always hated those tornado sirens, eerie AF!
I think my favorite part about your videos is the fact that you are a perfectionist. I’m a little ocd so stuff that most people don’t notice bothers me just like it does you.
These long videos are the best
Imo best way to get these guys to check the trucks before leaving is for Ryan to remind them every time to check the trucks or get the most responsible worker out of all of them to check every truck before leaving the yard and the jobsite. I know nothing and no one is perfect so mistakes will happen but at least that way it will be minimal.
Big shoutout from Glace Bay, Nova Scotia!! Love your videos Ryan. Stumbled across them on Facebook & went back to the start to watch from the beginning. Amazing to see where you started to where you are today. Much props 💯
Love the castle rock look! Great idea on taking away bonuses when need to! And I loved the end of your video! And one more thing, Ryan, congratulations on everything and including the graduation! 👍👍👍😎🇨🇱

I agree they should be more responsible and if they cost you money then it should come outta that bonus
Hope Ryan pays Autumn some of that easy money 💰 for editing the videos, she does the best job editing 👊
At victoryoutdoor service , I believe you should have a morning briefing/huddle inspection of the vehicles /and to have on there victory assign paid uniform given to them, get them all a waterproof notepad and pencil to take notes , and at the end of the work day have another hurdle and have an (AAR ) After Action Review on what they did wrong and what and how they can correct it and what you/victory expect from them . Hope this helps a bit Ryan …..
Curt makes some amazing ice jigs. He is a good buddy of mine and I was so happy to see the shout out to him!!!!

Hi Ryan, Big Ray dont seem to be thinking on the job, he acts and he comes across on screen if he is the teachers pet. You guys dont check the oil on your vehicles in the morning, BIG MISTAKE. Teno has been much more a team player in the last few weeks Good on Him. I have had my own construction company for 35 years and ready to retire, sorry to say, i have seen guys like Big Ray come and go, How many mistakes has he made in the last 8 Months. Please be more careful, materials fallen off your vehicles on the freeway, DISGRACE. Stop his bonus and Ray will be more switched on to check his load after all BIG RAY is responsible for his vehicle and his load. Step Up Ryan or your company will have a large bill from the state. You said in your last video how much the police were stopping trucks. Think Safe, Work Safe, Be Safe. Great content But never take your eye of the Ball.
As a business owner myself, you nailed it on the head about ray

I do know Renee M. Harrison, I also have even become successful....
Big Ray is always snitching, “sorry I called you by mistake”
Doing a huddle at the beginning of the day and end of the day would probably be the best. Safety/ accountability is always important.
Man those skies with the sirens was so creepy haha. Like the start to a zombie movie or something
Cell phones on the job makes one forget some instructions.
Ryan, there is nothing wrong with Autumn learning to back a trailer. My father taught me when I was 15. He also had me learn everything about my car so no one could take advantage of me later in life. Paid off when I went to college. Always teach your daughters because their father, brothers or husbands will not always be there to help. Have a great week.
My daughter can change tires and does her own breaks and has also charged her a/c in her car. Nothing wrong with teaching daughters to do these things is absolutely correct.
My neighbors husband left her a couple years back, a little after he left her 2 year old jeep’s engine blew up because she didn’t know she had to get the oil changed, her husband always did that so she had to get a new car. My dad has since taught my sister how to watch for the oil light to come on so she knows to take her car to jiffylube and she also learned how to change a tire even tho she has triple AAA…
My 7 year old daughter has been working on our vehicles with me since she could hold her head up on her own. I’ve taught her leverage so even at 7 she can break lug nuts off herself. She helps maintain our zero turn and I’m even letting her mow a bit. I’m here to make sure the guy she marries ain’t a slouch.
My daughter can build a house
Yes, he can teach his employees anything, but thougt of teaching his daughter ...sounds off a circus... he must be the clown...just kidding
I keep finding it so funny how much Ryan talked about being organized and building a space for the stamps to stay and now they just sit at the winter shop lol

18:35 Good response Tino 🤣
Pretty soon each of the guys will have a golden star board like children do for chores around the house. Your patience is great, Ryan. These guys wouldn’t last at many jobs. But hey, I wouldn’t complain if I got a bonus to show up for work on time. No matter what, we love the videos and I am always excited for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday! Crew- get it together!!!
in response to the accountability question, the bonus idea is great and as well you could create a check list for them to review or refer to that is in the truck so that they have no excuses kind of like how pilots go through pre flight checks in order to ensure to the best of their ability that everything is held up to standard and so there isn't even an opportunity to forget something regardless of how minor it is.
Good morning VCrew. Nice to start watching concrete work. ❤️
I so miss bugs to be honest the only guy there besides Ryan that actually knew what he was doing. 😔🇬🇧
That guy Tino brought in seems like he knew what he was doing but I guess he won't hire him
@R1Erik you should know by now he only hires people who don't know anything and need to be told stuff 10 times a day lol 😆 he will see one day 🤣
Create a team lead that needs to over look all the trucks before they roll out. You have to distribute your work load Ryan. You are a small business but you have to be able to trust your guys to get that work done correctly and on time. But you already know that. Love the Vids keep it up!
I personally LOVE thunderstorms and even tornadoes! I appreciate that you put that in the video as well. Stay safe!
the felt on the side of the road after that speech was hilarious
Whoever is driving the truck that some thing isn’t right take money out of bonus. Every guy on ur crew doesn’t want to do nothing. You tell them to do something and they throw a fit. Also every guy in ur crew sees that if they do something wrong you won’t get mad. I think you need to put some rules down Ryan. Have a good one sir. God bless ✌🏼
Always love the content Ryan keep up the good work FYI a green sky is an indication of a tornado or one is somehow near by not always but most of the time I agree with the bonuses being given when the guys follow safety procedures another suggestion is instead of saying I will see you on the job go around with the crew on each truck and kinda make them look for violation before hitting the road to the job that way everyone knows what's going on and on the same page also maybe keep hand held radios in the trucks so the crew can talk to each other like hey felt fell coming out or something serious with out picking up a phone while driving like I said earlier love the content a good rule of thumb safety 1st is more important than rushing back to the yard ditching the trucks and enjoying a night out with friends making sure someone doesn't get killed or injured is more serious than trying to come up the an excuse or find out the next morning that's my 2 cents
Wow I'm glad I watched it till the end. Those tornado sirens sounded SCARY/
Goooood morning, Ryan . Greetings from sunny Arizona . Need rain send some this way. Lol
With Ray never let a lie get in the way of a good story😂
Micromanager lol, plus how can u still have a worker like ray on ur crew.
delierious...
You could put a check list in each vehicle that would pertain to what needs to be checked on that vehicle every day. Also put a sign in the building and maybe outside the building on your new property that tells the employees that they are responsible to make sure certain things are done prior to leaving the yard and also when returning at the end of the day. If they see it written down it make be easier to remember and may retained easier.
When somebody usually forgets the little stuff like that it means they have no and I'm not sure if I'm saying this right but no passion for the job they only want to work and get that money so they can get home as fast as they can I know bc I have felt this way plenty of times for jobs I really didn't want to do put them through some training so they can truly understand the art of concrete I promise you they will do better
Gooooddddd morning Ryan and crew have a great day 😀 And good morning to victory fans 😀
Good morning everyone. Perfect timing

Man, that patio looked really good. That relief cut even turned out really nice! Y’all did a jam up job on that patio.
My truck had a similar issue to what's going on with the form truck. I upgraded the batteries and it still cranked slowly. Ended up being a weak starter that was on it's way out. Eventually it wouldn't even turn the truck over at all. Got a new starter, installed it, and now it cranks as it should.
