Mark Tremonti would end his tenure with Creed when the group disbanded in 2004, leading him and fellow bandmates Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips to form Alter Bridge. Here, Mark learned to embrace the depth of skill heâd obscured during his songwriting with Creed, leading fans and guitarists of countless styles to learn that he does, in fact, know how to tear up solos with an expert ear for tone crafting. Donât just take our word for it: Guitar World crowned him âGuitarist of the Yearâ for three consecutive years, and he earned the fourth-place spot on Total Guitarâs 2011 list of greatest heavy-metal guitarists. Heâs certainly got the chops, and his infatuation with the inner workings of sound have led to him amassing an impressive collection of guitars and amplifiers (and pinball machines), which may explain why heâs spent the past five years perfecting his latest signature amp with PRS. Armed with three channels and 100 watts of 12AX7- and 6L6-powered tube tones, the MT100 serves up a versatile sonic array that led us to this doubleheader of a video. Don Carr and Nick Bowcott join forces to tackle the tonal triumvirate of Mark Tremontiâs PRS MT100 tube amp head, interviewing Mark himself along the way to unravel the secrets of this 3-channel behemoth. Check it out!

Me.
Just kidding.
The amp sounds great, but I'd like to acknowledge how great both these chaps are as players.
The overdrive channel is killer! Itâs like a hot rodded plexi tone that warms and cleans up when you roll your guitar volume down. I mean come on. A Fender Twin, Dumble/plexi, and Rectifier/Ăberschall, all in discrete isolated channels rolled into one head under 2k!?
There shouldnât be a single complaint here whatsoever. This amp is a Swiss Army knife! Canât wait to get my hands on one!!
Best demo to date on this amp. Well done guys!! đ€đ€
From the multiple demos & reviews I've seen about this amp, this is the bee's knees, the cat's pajama's, the talk of the town, the best thing since sliced bread, etc.
Tremonster is the rock/metal tone monster. 30 years worth already and he's still getting better. Legend đ€
It's such a great amp, no BS, and those channels are so intelligently dialed in.
Absolutely love my MT15 and wish I could afford this one...would be awesome
Great Video!!! I got my MT 100 yesterday and it sounds great!!! Amp sounds really loud at a low volume. I also have the MT 15 and I love both amps. The pedal lights are super bright!! You will definitely see what channel you are on when you are playing in a dark stage!!
I have both the MT15 and now the MT100, but have to disagree on the MIDI comment. I get it, it's a signature amp but hate how all of these amps have different control connectors. 5 pin, 6 pin, 7 pin 8 pin etc. At the very least there should be a TRS option on every amp for simplicity. As an amp collector this very much gets in the way. Love amps with MIDI and it is much easier to integrate into modern setup and with switchers. Mark is an amp collector as well so I am surprised at his take on it. Not sure how he manages his amp collection but makes things much easier with a switcher pedalboard and amp switcher. Midi amps are easy to integrate, for the MT100 I had to custom order a cable which becomes a hidden cost to the consumer.
ur right, but i will consider this amp like "MK1" for this amp probably the nxt MT100 "MK2" would be packed with modern features and cost $3k lol
Very warm & organic sounding!
UNREAL CLEANS...just like the 100 watt Archon.
I've listened to just about every demo of this head and the high gain channel seems very compressed, very squishy - almost squeaky. Let me be clear... I'm not hating on it and hopefully can sample one for myself but what I'm hearing seems pretty consistent throughout the many clips I've heard.
That clean channel đ has that chime to it.
Overdrive channel is perfect.
Have to play this Amp in person
Mr. Trimonti,superb amp god blessâ€â€â€

Does anyone know if PRS & Tremonti plan to release a matching speaker cabinet for the MT 100?
Love absolutely love mark t. Only person I love more is Myles k. Sorry mark!! Alter bridge ftw!!!!â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€
2nd channel is like a dumble
Cool amp, not gonna lie since itâs made over seas and close in sound, save money and buy a Blackstar HT 100
No MIDI?
I donât believe he uses MIDI so he didnât include it.
Not needed.
Nope. No way to use a loop switcher with effects unless you use hardware work arounds since it's a 7 pin din connection.
