So beautiful. The wheelbarrow looks like the one from a game of monopoly. I bet those boys might’ve played a game or two there. That river area reminds of a little place here in Oregon, called Tin Cup. My dad taught my siblings and I to pan for gold there. You can also pull the moss off the rocks close to the river, rinse it off in your pan of water and then look for your gold. It’s a lot of fun and if you’re not careful, before you know it, you’ll get yellow fever. Lol.
LOL I'm pretty sure the wheelbarrow is from a Monopoly game too!
Thanks for sharing Martha, I bet you're right regarding the wheelbarrow!
@@GMMD It looks just like the one I had in Monopoly. It was my favorite piece
Martha Garcia that was my thought too, the wheelbarrow was from a monopoly game
Great first gold adventure, am sure we'll see more in the future. Thanks for taking us along! Take care.
You've got that right Ken, thanks for watching!
What a beautiful cemetery! A worthy place to spend eternity..... amazing views.
Beautifully said, Leslie!
Finally got my fix for the week! Great times mixing detecting and panning! Lots of fun to watch, and so well filmed and edited as usual. Your original soundtrack, once again, is smokin. Well done!
Thanks so much Katie!
Mike killed it! He should be really proud of how well he did his first time out.
Both you and he found new hobbies that got you excited.
I have to say... when I saw this episode would include gold panning, I thought, ehh... probably not gonna be very exciting. However, your enthusiasm and film work (and Mike's Barber dime thrown in there) made it very fun to watch! Made me wish I was anywhere near a good gold-bearing creek!
Thanks for the awesome videos. I love watching you guys go up into the hills and find stuff that you'd never know was there without research, know-how, and the proper equipment.
Thanks so much David, glad to hear you enjoyed the video!
Hey Brad, the cool boy scout kerchief thing is called a Woggle. I really love the music you play and it went so well with the stream as it rushed through and over the rocks, gorgeous. I think somebody caught gold fever ;) you did really well panning, awesome. Cool cool video and so pleased you found some as I have watched shows on here where people found nothing. Brilliant, thank you for taking us along. x
Thanks so much for all the kind words, Sue. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!!
Wow! That looks like fun! Good job Brad. Thanks for taking us on another great adventure!
Thanks Jeff!
Been binge watching your videos. I watch a lot of MD videos, but i think I enjoy yours the most. Thanks for sharing your passion. Cheers from TX.
Thank you!!
The handkerchief slide is called a Bolo, I remember it well. Great video!
I knew Vermont is a beautiful place but watching your videos I've come to realize how historic it is...Love your work!
Beautiful country & great camera work; as always! I've watched some of the panning for gold channels and while it looks like fun, I think your heart belongs to metal detecting and hiking. That is so cool that Mike had a great day. He's addicted already seems to me. LOL Happy Hunting!
Nice trip and great job in a beautiful location. Thanks for sharing! Nice weekend with dry and warm feets!
Thanks for watching!!
That was fun ! Thank you for sharing guys !
Great show, awesome guests! Love to give panning a shot one day! Thanks for sharing and HH
I always your videos. You are such a great narrator. Beautiful country. Reminds me of home as a kid.

Congratulations on the gold panning finds! As always a very interesting hunt. Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks for coming along Brian!
Great stuff...love the pannig video and what a lovely place to spend a day and thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Thanks for watching!
I saw a great video posted by some locals who go up to the North Shore of Lake Superior with a home made sluice and dig the black sand washed up in big storms. After a day of drinking beer and slowly filling their sluice, they went home with 7 grams of gold! What a blast
Always wonderful videos! I have several gold pans, but I still have never been gold panning. Thanks for sharing and happy Hunting! ~ Gypsy
Thanks so much Gypsy, I highly recommend it!
the geologists say 90 % of the worlds gold is micro gold, even in AK and here in Ca, Three colors per pan average, thus the suiice, to multiply pan count, and then you gather dust till a nugget comes along, working the odds like digging targets and fishing do it till you get a keeper ! nice Job GMMD !
Thanks! I don't know for sure, but I feel with more tools and practice I can do quite a bit better next time. Looking forward to spring!
Nice day! Love days like that.
You are so right about the beauty of New England. Have waited too late to see it personally but loving your videos.
Just love the beautiful scenic videos! I enjoy spending hours hunting fossils and arrowpoints but do not think I would have the patience to swirl pans while standing in cold water for minutiae specks of gold.
Unseasonably cold where I live in Texas but no snow deluge as in your world. Stay safe, stay warm.
Nice gold now the fevers start's!!!, he hehe!! Thanks enjoyed the video !!!
I'd be pumped up too with the gold finds!!! Yahoooo!!! Gorgeous area too...life is good...AND gold. Loved the intro tune btw ;)
Thanks Jill!
Beautiful creek and landscape
Beautiful music.
Great video, lotta beautiful country in yalls neck of the woods. 28 degrees here in Southwest Tennessee yesterday morning! Felt like I was in New England for minute. Glad it’s gonna be 65 here Saturday! Always enjoy your videos. Thanks again!
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Haha rub it in, we're buried in snow!
Looks like fun. Well done. Happy panning.
In the 1960s in the mountains of California my Dad was able to find a source of a small amount of gold in the Moss that grew along the creek sides. They would collect the moss and then dry it out and burn it to retrieve the gold flecks. Not enough to get rich but enough to make it worth doing. We would take miniature gold pans , some black sand and sprinkle a small amount of gold over the sand and then spray clear coat over it all and make tourist Items and Christmas presents from it all OOOO Real California Gold!
Thanks for the tip, Richard! Sounds like a great technique!!
Absolutely beautiful country!!!
Cool hunt, Brad! Congrats on the gold!
Woke up to 4" of snow here in Vermont this morning. Sweet area,ty for sharing.
Over a foot here in Syracuse NY.
Same here, luckily I have a backlog of videos to share in the weeks to come!
Nice hunt, flash in the pan, Never tried it, but looks fun. Congrats on the silvers to you friends.
Tc and Happy Hunting my friend
Thanks a ton!
The wheelbarrow is def an old Monopoly game piece. Great video, thanks for taking us along!
Thanks for the ID, and thanks for coming along!
Yes the rep with a newer date would mean that the stone was replaced at the date ! Glad to see that someone thought enough about the cemetery to keep it looking nice ! Great video love watching them . Please keep them coming .
Thanks Steve!
Wish I had people to hang in the woods with me all day. What a great day.
Contact a local detecting club, I’m sure they’d be happy to have you!
That 'made in england' thing is a guy rope tensioner
for tent rope
Thanks for the ID!
Or A bicycle chai like
Good stuff...great music!
Hey thanks!

Glad to hear that Tracy!
Congratulations Mike on your Barber dime. Well done!!
That is an super nice place guys. Love the scenery.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it, Daniel!
I enjoy watching your videos.
Gold fever setting in i see. I knew those creeks you were crossing held gold. Nice job. Coins tooooo!!!! Wow
Heck yeah!
I just love Vermont. It is a beautiful state for sure. I am used to seeing it in the winter or the fall but I never was there in the spring or summer.
@5:00, that "Made in England" aluminum piece is a rope tie for a tent rope. Thread the rope through one hole, over the middle, and out the other. Then know it off. Tie the other end of the rope to the top of a tent pole, run it down around a tent stake, and tighten with the aluminum piece by pulling it up. Tension keeps it tight. My uncle's tent uses those.
Very pretty country and good day's prospecting - Snow's acoming, I think... ⛏😉
Its here!
He's got the fever :))) Great vid Brad and thanks to everyone for making it a good watch :)))
Haha I sure do!
Thoroughly enjoy your videos ! i really love the music as well.
Thanks for all your hard work. :)
Thanks so much!
Looking forward to your next hunt for treasure.
Gold Fever, how excited I would be too !Great entertainment way to go Brad
Thanks a lot Paul!
Congratulations
Exciting video Brad! I've also watched other gold panning videos, and after watching this one, I'm going to give it a shot when it gets warmer.
Glad to hear that!!
Really enjoyed this vid. The fall scenery was beautiful. We had to shovel snow last night to back our car out of the driveway. Betty from Canada
Glad to hear you enjoyed it, Betty! We're also buried in snow, here's to an early spring!
Great show, men.
nice and so it begins, congrats guys
Nice change of pace video. Nice scenery shots. We have about 6-8 inches wet snow this AM in Western MA. No more detecting for awhile now!
Same here Franklin, here's to an early spring!
Mike's got the detecting fever now! And you got Gold fever!
fevers all around!
I enjoy gold panning too. I find it relaxing. I use a couple different sized classifiers and a 5 gal bucket to reduce the material down to a more manageable size for my pan. makes thing a little easier. Awesome video.
Thanks for sharing Tim, I'll have to get some more gear for next time!
Ooooops, sickness in the woods! Gold fever and metal detecting fever! It's catching! Seriously, nice finds, Brad and Mike!
Haha thanks Cynthia!
A good day Brad!
Awesome vid! That’s quite amazing how much you actually found, congrats!
Thanks so much!
That place looks awesome! I'm making my way through the GMMD worm hole lol
About darn time, no more teasers for two weeks....Great Vid....
Gold like water works with gravity and runs downhill. Anywhere down the river you could find gold not just near the source. Good job, awesome video. Nice to see a new one, been anticipating it. Thanks for them.
Thanks Freddy!
Nice job Brad. You have BEAUTIFUL country there. I live in the gold fields of Oregon and I know “the bug” when I see it and brother you got it
Haha thanks friend!
Brad. Thank you for another great upload. Being Canadian I'm going to have to request our nickel back. Impressive cemetery. Congrats or the gold you found, your excitement is clearly visible, good for you.
Glen
Thanks Glen!!
I grew up in Bennington VT .. wish I was into the hobby back then.. love watching your vids bro.. love the history in that state.. HH and good luck on your gold prospecting..
I'm an MAU graduate myself, though haven't had much luck panning in the area, had to travel north! Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed the video and the production. I got the biggest kick out of Mike, no question he is hooked.
Haha you'll be seeing a lot of him in future videos!
Fyi if you want to find the most gold around a gold bearing stream, dry and burn the moss down low on the outside turns and then pan the ashes
Sounds like you got the fever boy lol have fun
Mike has the fever & you have a different kind of fever. Welcome to my world, you're now officially a sourdough. Congratulations on your finds & Happy Thanksgiving.
Haha thanks! To you as well!!
What a beautiful place to explore. Have a Great Thanksgiving Brad be safe !!!
You too Sandy!!
Oh yeah, i could see the fever brewing.... Good start Brad.... There is shiny if you know where to look!
Haha thanks Jim!
Coins relics and GOLDs
Very good
He’s got gold fever! Ha ha! The Boy Scout neckerchief thing is called a woggle over here in the uk, not sure if it’s the same there. Looked like a fun day. 👍
Great Landscape's
Another great video! Keep up the good work! On my bucket list, to find a few flakes of gold. Of course metal detecting is a passion, Great finds!
Thanks Syd, I highly recommend it! Those few flakes were certainly worth the trip and effort!
I have a 1950s dime and a 1944 penny hanging out at my desk. We always seems to get some really old coin in the till at least once a month so we like to check at the end of the day. I have even found silver quarters and one mercury dime in the till!! So even though I can't go out and swing a coil I do love the feeling of finding that old coin.
Awesome, that's great!
I wondered if you ever got up my way. You have been. I live by the ski area and pan in that Brook a lot. Good vid. Thanks
It’s a beautiful area!!
That was fun! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was just out there earlier this week, hunting early, did some panning and detecting. Great place to go!
We had a blast!
Looks like someone got bit by the gold bug! Watch out for the fever that comes with it! Lmao good luck and be safe out there. As always another great video!
Haha it got me!
Nice job, I really like the "native" sounding music in some of your videos......catchy tune. Good production again! onwards and upwards
Thanks a lot!
Tent rope tightner the alum fig 8 thingy
Cool hunt, but it's gonna take a long time to get rich on the gold you're finding there!..lol. Always great to see a newbie find something that makes their hands shake! Not a bad day for him there! GL and HH, see you on your next adventure!
Haha if I was doing any of this to get rich I would have quit a long time ago!
Nice job man! Never tried panning either, but some of the folks from the Champlain Valley Metal Detecting Club do make a annual trip somewhere down into central VT to pan. Hopefully we get a decent thaw soon, or I may be shut down for good up here until spring. HH!
John
Probably pretty close to where we were! Foot of snow in the mountains here, hopefully we’ll get one more thaw before spring!!
Great video
Thanks friend!
I've spent my weekend watching all your videos , some yet to watch lol. It's a beautiful state you live in, reminds me a bit of Ireland .. anyway, you have a new sub lol!!
So glad to hear that, Jennie!
Thousands like! Good video!
When I was in cub scouts in late 60s we were instructed to bury our garbage... lol
Highly recommend it video if your in to treasure hunting, old cemeteries, coins and the great outdoors. Where was that mercury minted?
Great video dude , looks like your friend got the detecting bug, nice coins bet he was so stoked 👍⛏🌵
Thanks, he was for sure!
Awesome
That was an awesome episode
Glad to hear that!
AWSOME!
U may get rich yet!
Thanks for taking me along.
Haha!
Look under large rocks.
Placer gold deposits under large rocks in moving water.
Larger nuggets have been found under large rocks.
I have a couple neckerchiefs myself. Great variety hunt. Gold in Vermont huh? Who would of thought? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Mark!
