This is a great farm me and my friends did 8 layers and we are getting insane gunpowder
Works amazingly. It’s resource intensive for non creative mode. But it works REALLY well. 100%love this build. Thanks for the help! (Ps4 bedrock)
I know what you mean about resources, I built mine out of polished blackstone bricks and crimson stem, and I spent a good chunk of time in the nether for it that's for sure.

if you are going to use the creepers to repair mending tools (or any mob farm), make the blocks on the side and back of the kill chamber of Obsidian. This way it wont insta-mine with efficiency pickaxes.

@@txeqox I'm not getting good rates. So with it being so low I'm usually wasting a few XP orbs. So just making the back unbreakable, I can mend tools just using them to do the killing.
i use it for fireworks for the elytra i already have a xp farm (skeleton)

@@poptartcupcakes8318 I have 2 entire double chests full of deepslate. And I don’t know what to do with it. Before I wanted to build a creepy Farm. You would be surprised of how fast your inventory fills up with deepslate. When you’re mining for other things like diamonds, red stone and gold.

Thank God because I built a creeper farm under ground perfectly and it wasn’t working so I decided to build yours. It’s a lot of work but it’s worth it. The faster you want gunpowder the more layers you put

explaining the trapdoors and buttons, the trapdoors are seen as full block to the mobs, so they'll walk into it falling down. without the trapdoors, no mob would fall. the buttons keep spiders from spawning. mobs cannot spawn on air or misc blocks (like slabs or buttons). the buttons keep spiders from spawning perfectly. there is one problem though, zombies and skeletons still spawn. i personally dont mind the skeletons or zombies because they just mean more exp. but, to get rid of them, you could try putting trapdoors on the bottoms of the spawn platforms. idk if it works, but if you want only creepers, its worth a shot. creepers are shorter than zombies and skeletons, and i know they need 2 blocks or more of space. so, maybe the creepers need a little less for being shorter?

And another thing, when I go to the afk zone effectively they spawn, but when I go down to the killing zone they disappear, it works more for me to stay in the slaughter zone, but the farm is excellent.
Yes you can use fire.
The mobs disappear because of the chunk distance, try staying closer to the farm. When you go further than a certain point the mobs will disappear.
if u want gunpowder probably better to make a better killing chamber than just fire tho
to get more creeper make It in the Ocean so the spawn rate Is Better BC the only position they can spawn Is in the farm

Turns out, it's not just a creeper farm. But hey creepers still drop and I still get a ton of gun powder.

worked pretty good, by the way if for some reason it is not working make sure that you dont have a village or cave near you cause that would decrease the amount of mobs that would spawn in the bc creeper farm

All 3 of u acting like it's hard to get the stuff took me 10 mins all I have to do is fly back and forth less then 75 blocks to get cobble bc I have a 50x50 I've been working on and I got cobble for life and a wood farm so keep complaining to someone who was nice enough to post this for you

I want you to consider that the farm is built in a superflat World, so the eficency is going to the sky
I closed off the sides instead of extending the roof but nothing spawns. I even tried an 8x9 one to give them more surface area but still nothing. Does anyone have a solution?

I'd say don't do this in survival mode because it would cause a lot of resources and in creative mode it would still take a lot of time.
Can the upper part with the platforms where the creepers will spawn be made near land or does it have to be in the sky ?

Its fine you can build on land as well
If mobs are spawning very slow then find a good AFK spot..
For me it was best when i was 25 blocks far from the middle platform (On bedrock edition)
On java you might need to AFK 30-40 blocks above ...
I built over a ocean and it doesn’t work whatsoever
@@Clouud_wiz I’ve build it on land (bedrock) and it’s working well the 25 blocks thing form the 2nd level is pretty important for faster spawn rate

I think its the placement for buttons/trapdoor. As on every block there should be either button at bottom or trapdoor at top. If both are empty then other mobs spawn

Yes, for that you will have to change your simulation distance to 4 chuncks. And AFK 30 blocks far from the top of the farm.
