Lead Guitar Lesson 2: Establishing Control

In this lesson, the aspects of control over the guitar are shown. In addition to synchronising of the hands as in lesson 1, there is an essential part of control in making the strings muted when one other string is being played. This will become very clear when playing through any form of overdrive or distortion.

Excellent information. This sounds very difficult to implement in practice, and I remember Jay Graydon emphasizing that he considered muting non-played strings as absolutely required for any guitar performance. Thanks so much for these two lessons and your extensive collection of very useful (and often entertaining) videos.
