I've forgotten most NKOTB songs now, but I still sing "Baby, I Wish You Were My Baby" sometimes. My nieces once asked me what my fav boy band was, and watching them Google "Dudez-A-Plenti" was one of the funniest friggin' things I've ever seen.
I love Conan beyond measure.
Laurie Ann the NKOTB songs weren’t even theirs though, for the most part they ‘borrowed’ songs from 60’s and 70’s black groups and didn’t pay the songwriters. They assumed no one would notice I guess.

Conan formed a boy band in like a day or two, as a joke, and it was approximately as good as a real boy band.
My god, I am SO glad to FINALLY see a good quality version of this on CZcams. I saw this on TV when it originally aired and thought it was the best thing on Conan's show (although Conan and Andy driving the desk was a close second). For years there's only been a crap quality version on the net.

In late 90s Canada I used to have to stay up until 2am to watch Conan (pre-empted by Jenny Jones and an infomercial). It was ALWAYS worth it because of sketches like this. One of the most brilliant, thoughtful and hilarious comedy shows of all-time

I worked at the Music Dept. at Barnes & Noble in Long Beach and my manager and I made a place card for Dudez-a-Plenti. We had several customers try to impress the girls who worked with us by claiming that they not only had all their CDs, but have seen them in concert.

oh my God, I've never laughed so hard, when he told them to pose, I lost it.
One of the best sketches Conan has done. I remember seeing this when it first aired and laughing so hard.
In my opinion, a monologue audition is perfect preparation for being in a band.
This was one of my most favorite skits Conan ever did on the original show.
I swear just when I think I've watched every Conan clip available I find the funniest one. This is pure genius.
So many great lines in this, but one of the funniest came right at the end. "Matt Lauer is gonna be with us in a second."
