Very funny and great concept. A great concept of the ridiculousness of professional sports and the commercialism surrounding them. But also a fun way to make something like sleep more exciting. Well done and very well executed as well.
This reminds me of the Donald Duck comic where Donald was chosen to represent Earth in intergalactic Olympics. The loser of the race had their whole planet destroyed. The athlete who was last could choose the final sport, so Donald chose competitive sleeping as the final event. The aliens and robots bragged how they could sleep for millions of years and Donald was sent home. It was the only Donald Duck comic that didn't end with the hero saving the day, but just delaying the complete annihilation of Earth by an unspecified time. I still remember the existential dread it gave me as a kid.
