    Here's a thought for anyone out there to optimise your generators, add an egr (exhaust gas recirculater) or 2 in line on the exhaust, not to reburn the gas but to use the heat exchange to heat water, we waste so much heat energy with generators.

    • @gideonkehinde1019

      Please explain further, you mean we generate the heat from where

    • @ThePikeywayne
      @ThePikeywayne Před 3 lety +2

      @@gideonkehinde1019 connect an EGR (exhaust gas recirculator) on the exhaust, the EGR is a heat exchanger. Exhaust heat -> heat water, I try and add one to as many divises as possible to heat water in my tank. The water will generally syphon through the EGR as it heats without a pump

      Here's one added to a diesel heater, obviously it's a different application.
      The diesel heater exhaust gets to around 170°C but I hope that gives you an idea for extraction of a lil more energy ✌️

    • @danieltaurins86
      @danieltaurins86  Před 4 lety +4

      Having a valve down at the end of the hose would be a great addition, adjusting from the tank is touchy as the regulator doesn’t like the low pressure, better to turn it on full and open a valve at the end as I was having issues, as I’ve mentioned you can actually buy conversion kits for this model generator, but I was merely showing that it’s possible to run it with biogas, if I actually relied on it for power it would be set up properly 👍

    Hi - very cool idea, and great that it works. I have a question: I’m looking for a generator and was all set to go with the Honda (and break the bank...) but then saw that the Yamaha EF2200iS has a caburettor drain (to remove excess petrol for storage). So, I thought this could also be used to connect gas to that drain really easily as it would be open to the carburettor and save a lot of modification... what do you think?

      @@ericlotze7724 you can use iron to remove the hydrogen sulifde. Steel wool would probally work. H2S (gas) will react with FE(solid) to produce iron sulfide. I am really happy that I have found your video's. I'll be doing this for our cooking. about the compressing the biogas. Can you use any compressor to compress the biogas into the tanks. I will be building our place soon and won't be bothering with plumbing in toilets as doing biogas needs to eat. I was wondering if you were in need of lifepo4 batteries. they are the best battery for power storage. if you are interested let me know and if you can help me spread the news about the batteries I have for sale I would really appreaciate it. I have EDS, a connective tissue genetic disorder and this is how I am trying to provide for my family. If you can help me out it would be awesome. the price is great as I don't want to be like everyone else trying to gouge people for all they can. the specs for the batteries are 10 year factory warranty-- 3.2 volt 271 AH--171 USD each and the minimum order is 16 cells. if you team up with another person to order 16 cells it is fine. the batteries are brand new and will last you as long as the solar panels do as long as you take good care of them. I hope to hear from you about this and about the filling tanks with biogas to cook with. thanks for your videos they are great.

      Would you be willing to join as a developer? The things that seem to be the most beneficial that you do are your biodigester work. We would both get more exposure, we can use and add to your development, and you can gain expertise from our other developers.
      Also, it is all volunteer and there is no minimal work amount required, so it doesn't require some massive change in your schedule. Even something as simple as posting cad files/code/video/photo walkthroughs would be more than enough.
      This would also allow for filling in some of the competitive CZcams treadmill space with videos on any of these series on this.

    But even if not, are you aware most liquid-fuel engines rely on the liquid to assist cooling? This is why cars can overheat if they run lean. Have you given thought to cooling?
    It'd be a shame to lose your genny to a cooked motor!
