Sounds way good! Ive been using Amplitube since it was free with the original version of Cakewalk's Guitar Studio software. Love the versatility! Thanks for the non-manufacturer unbiased review.
The mesa ripple rec also has a really sweet clean tone if anyone's curious. And u can stack a marshall on it and use marshalls reverb. Its cool stuff. Neural d so sounds better out of the box but u can make amplitube sound amazing too
Been using Amplitube since version 1. Always loved it, 5 really gives the Bias and Nerual a run for the money...through I like those too Seems no one is a one stop solution
If IK turned this amazing cab section into a separate plugin as well they could really capitalize on people who wanna use amp sims from other companies.
Been using Bias FX 2 and it never sounded right. Punk and metal tones were always muddy and thin. I tried Amplitube based on this video and I was blown away. Sounds so good!
I agree with you, but the only thing that keep me from deleting the Bias Fx 2 was the “Guitar Match” function, i can have the sound of a single coil Stratocaster on my Humbuckers guitar, pretty good in my opinion
Getting back into playing. Jumped on the IK sale and bought the AXE I/O Solo + Amplitube 5. It arrives tomorrow and I have a brand new guitar waiting. Your video just made my day.
How did you go with Amplitube 5? I'm late to the party but thinking of upgrading... Just not sure if I should switch to something else completely. I like AT 4 just fine, but there's a lot of stuff out there.. it's hard to know.
@@465marko Audio Assault ReAmp is pretty good and was on sale for $20 from $120. Not sure if it still is tho. Have to really tweak to get a good tone but that’s with all of these kind of low grade amp sims. If you want something amazing get STL ToneHub or AmpHub
@@MetalheadOv666 Thanks man. I actually ended up just diving in with Amp 5 - bit of an impulse buy, tbh lol. A self-christmas present. But I get the impression the STL stuff is really good, so I might end up trying it at some stage. Audio Assault looks good too actually, maybe more for hi-gain stuff (?) - there's so many of these things that's half the problem.... I'm pretty happy with AT5 for the moment though, definite step up for where I'm at and I'm finding it very, very useable so far. I'm more into crunchy tones, don't do much hi gain stuff. Option paralysis is the only problem. So far, I've just been tinkering with tones rather than actually creating anything lol
I purchased an AXE I/O SOLO with an Amplitube 5 package @ SW. So far its pretty cool and I have plenty of amps and stuff to choose. I tried to by the AXE I/O with the MAX bundle, but shipping dates were unknown and I did not want to wait.
After the creation of Amplitube5, I switched from HX Native and Bias XF and AMP 2. I didn't come back. Secondly, for everyday play, I fire it in the form of an Application and has a built-in DAW 8 track. Built-in IR loader, amplifier simulations at a good level and I love SOLDANO and EVH5150 the most.
I agree this is THE BEST amplitube compared to any previous amplitube. Problem is Neural and ML Sound make better sounding amp sim. IMO, company like IK multimedia or positive grid need to reduce the number of amp sim in their product and focus more on sound quality of each amp.
awesome , but how would i connect my guitar thru the pc ?, would i need a aiso driver ? and usb to jack out put cable im all new to pc music software and stuff ?.
Hey man, how much does that Armada weigh? It looks pretty light considering the way you lifted it, unless you’re super strong. I’m looking for a lighter electric because I’m super weak due to a MC accident.
Amplitube 5 is quite a heavy weight in regards to size. I find if you are running abbleton 10 or greater not to install any other plugins. Quite tempted to go for the full plugin set in the Easter sale! 😜
It's surprising how that happens sometimes in these videos, right? I've tried several DIs already and still my sound with Amplitube 5 is a lot muddier than his sound.
I was watching Steve from Bostons video about THU by Overloud and that software has so many pieces of gear in it it's almost too much. ( Did I say too much) LOL Anyway how would you compare these amp sims? Sim software has come so far it's great. Mic placement & speaker changing is over the top in this program. Great video.
I have played both, and they both are great. Still I have a soft spot for some THU amps (the Univalve is just the best with a LP), and the Riglib feature opens up a different universe too. Still, A5 has some sick amps, a monster improvement from A4; for example Dimebag stuff did not sound that good in A4, while in A5 is... wow! All the 'house' amps also sound great now, while they kinda sucked in A4. The cab section again is awesome, and last but not least, the interface wins hands down
Just to clarify on the "updated" amp models: it's only the INTERFACE for all the amp models has been updated (and they look fantastic!) The actual models themselves are identical to Amplitube 2, 3, 4 etc. If you load up the same amp in Amplibute 4 and 5 and invert the phase of one, you'll find they null completely!
Man that's crazy because I was just A and Bing amplitube 4 and 5 and the way the amp sounded was way different. 5 sounded a bit less polished/compressed than 4. I was using the mark IV just a bit ago, sounded like 4 was a bit more ready to go out of the box while 5 would definitely need some post eq and compression...Just my opinion. Both a good.
Do you get any of the Mesa products in the Amplitube 5 version? Do you have comparison video of the CS and the 5? There are certain amps and cabinets not on the CS and also trying to figure out what the RACK means? On the CS you get 14 and 36 on the 5 version. I looked up on the website for Aplitube and cant find any info. Oh, and thank YOU for NOT doing ANY clean first sounds but even more thank you for doing all chugs/dirty playing!
@@johnnewton1830 yeah I'll be upgrading to the amplitude 5 full version for $149, the Cross grade one. What I'd like to experiment is running this setup through my vht power amp and for 12 cabinets and then a dry on a second cabinet, one digital and one hard wear wired through the vht. I also adjust a lot of the sound frequencies with the T-Rex plugins and logic and you can get some really killer sounds out of it but I've never really heard it at full volume cuz I live in a stupid apartment and very soon buying a extended van to pull a trailer converted into a full-blown recording rehearsal studio.
I want to use Amplitube 5 so bad but for some reason I can't. When I open Amplitube 5, I try using my Mackie Big Knob interface and Mackie Monitors. It tells me the input and output have different sample rate. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Revalver. It used to by owned by Peavey but they sold it. You can even load VSTs from other companies. I use Revalver as a host for a few T-Racks plugins(EQ before and after amp, reverb), Neural DSP Fortin Cali, and Native Instruments delay. I don't even use any of the Revalver modules, just the host and the $5 add on to use VST plugins.
sounds much better than earlier versions but for the buck... you can get your free amp sim and it sounds better and FREE and also stevie T's one or get bias fx for much cheaper still cant be compared to their competition imao, but getting much better, they got all the elements right though, ill give em that, its sick that you can customize your amp like in bias amps, but wish it sounded just better, but pretty sure that if theyll keep up with the same road next version ext update will be smashing good

DS1 into the Blue channel, mixing the Metal 1 and the Recto cabs. Just perfection. Great video!
By the way the pioneer in amp sims was ReValver. I remember using it back in 2001.

Switching from 4 to 5 was a way bigger difference than I thought it would be, even the same old head models I used in 4 sound a ton better in 5
When panning guitars using this plug in, would yall kill the room mic? The guitar in the center with room mic up sounds so good
Awesome Fat Wreck Chords shirt bro!
Can I hook up my pedal board (distortion, reverb, wah, delay) through an interface and use it for amp/cab simulation??? And how.
I think this just depends on the amp sim you pick, cause I've been using the Soldano model and it's nowhere near that fizzy.
I use AmpliTube 5 and it sound is killer
I’ve used 4 on an iPad for years.. it kills! I am going to purchase a MacBook just for AmpliTube
Amplitube 5 is my new faqvorite now, I think its ranking up there with the $1000 + Processors
awesome , but how would i connect my guitar thru the pc ?, would i need a aiso driver ? and usb to jack out put cable im all new to pc music software and stuff ?.
I always thought Amplitude 4 was the best , very excited to see they have a new version.
Can. You use this at the same time with CZcams music to play along with some music you like
can this be played back through an amp with the AXE I/O? Or can this only be played through speakers or headphones?
Alan you should watch all the video before asking questions!
I have an Armada I going to have to try those Fishmans.
When I go to record Amplitube in OBS, it just records it as a direct signal coming from my bass without any processing.
What am I doing wrong?
