Bus 167 versus MRT race from Sembawang to CBD

We raced from Sembawang to the CBD. Why? Because one of our colleagues is a bus 167 stan.

the bulk of commuters on 167 are those travelling between sembawang-chong pang-upper thomson and in bukit merah. closing down this bus route will only strain parallel bus services like 980.

Jamus Lim WP shared a proposal in Parliament for making public transport free for the elderly and persons with disabilities in Singapore.
He argued that this would allow them to stay engaged and active, as well as encourage those who wish to keep on working to do so without having to spend part of their earnings on commuting.

Did you even read the news or not? Did you update yourself by reading the news? They didn't even cancel service 167. Only the frequency has changed. Moreover, it would be a waste of revenue if the service is kept at the same frequency even if it is a convenience for passengers. Everything has disadvantage and advantage. Try to understand the situation.

Ikr... especially the SMRT Mercedes bus. Idk why but it is super overpowered compared to the slower SBST Mercedes Citaro.

If the bus ride is going to take 1+hr, you are better off taking the train. It is faster from Tampines to Raffles Place by train, then from Alexandra to Raffles Place by bus, so why bother taking the bus?

not everybody lives near the mrt stations. furthermore, the seats in the mrt are almost occupied all the time. there are higher chances to grab a seat in buses
