Trying out MIST Survival in 2024 for the First Time! (Part 1)

- I've seen and heard a lot of things about Mist Survival over the years, and from what I understand, it's largely developed by one person - still in Early Access on Steam, I finally got around to trying this out for the first time!

Players will be immune from the virus outbreak and must survive the situation by hoarding food, finding shelter and protecting yourself from wildlife, bandits, and infected. Players can also help other survivors and get the survivors to join your camp.
Players will experience dense mist that can happen at any time. The dense mist environment is accompanied by certain events, such as the infected people come around to find preys.
People who are infected and mutated will be able to come out outdoors at night or when there is no sunshine that means they can also hunt players while the fog is covered.

Definitely can tell it's early access but on the other hand, really cool systems and progression so far. Think this would be quite cool in co-op but I don't think that is planned, or certainly not at the moment anyway!
it is planned and already being worked on but its a solo dev so it will take time

How is the game still in early Access it's been out since 2018 !
Majority of it is made by a solo dev, if not all of it, as I understand! Takes time for something of this scale I guess! It's not uncommon for Early Access titles to have a long window now - good for feedback and driving the game development, as long as it one day is finished!

As a mist survival player who has been playing this game for quite some time now I like to watch beginners play this game. It makes me feel nostalgic.

At the military checkpoint near the white house head to the yellow generator, put fuel in, 1 to 2 percent is sufficient, start the generator, pickup the keycard on top of the white cabinet next to it, enter the two locked buildings for 3 drawer cabinets, double barrel or semiautomatic shotgun, backpack upgrade and other goodies. Climb the tower for another backpack upgrade. A crowbar is in one of the portable toilets at the military checkpoint.
Im glad you did a part two. I love survival games but unfortunately i only have a ps5 so very limited compared to pc. Planning on getting one in the not too distant future. So for the moment i just enjoy watching videos like this. Id love to play this one.
ah yeah would be great! Well Part 6 just released today so plenty of episodes to watch still - having a lot of fun with this one. I could see this moving to console once it's closer to being finished in the future!

I clicked on the playlist for mist and it started on the 4th episode. Dunno if you control that, but, just wanted to let you know its a bit wonky. Plan to sit and watch this series over the next few days. Woot!

I picked this up a few days ago.
Spawned in next to a bear! I mean, right beside one.
He was roaring when I spawned in. He hit me and knocked me down. I was also next to tiny shack. I got in there and crouched in the center thinking his aggro would stop. But noooo. He clipped thru the wall and killed me. Came back in. The same spot, he was still bellowing.
I started another game. 🤣🤣
ha I've heard this happening is quite common! I guess I was lucky as I was all alone for quite a while I started to wonder if there were even bears in my game! 😅
I would love to see much more of this .

check the outhouses sometimes they have a backpacks
that loud noise you heard was a car crash i think if they haven't changed it. you can go check those out when you hear them. enjoyed the video.
