      +Matteo Bertoli Filmmaker - Could the Warp stabilizer fix the "shaky" problem? I have a stabilizer for my DSLR camera but the BPCC is too light for that stabilizer so it kinda "swing" a little bit if I use that. So I am debating if I should just handheld the BPCC and fix the shaky problem with Premiere or I should use the stabilizer and let it "swing" (but it's hard to control). Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
      BTW, I really LOVE the color of your video!!

    • @Mafr0
      @Mafr0 Před 8 lety +8

      +Matteo Bertoli Filmmaker A little handheld movement only adds to the BMPCC aesthetic. Don't ever stabilize it out in post! This video is lovely

    • @pranavan5803
      @pranavan5803 Před 8 lety +1

      its ok but you could just edited. camera shake in softwares.its easy to remove those shakes. if you did that this footage will be more cinematic grade..

    • @Mafr0
      @Mafr0 Před 8 lety +5

      A little bit of natural shake is way better than stabilized jello shots. You can't get away from this with rolling shutter cameras like the BMPCC, stabilizers will remove shake but they really highlight this issue at the same time

    • @DerDaxter
      @DerDaxter Před 8 lety +2

      Maybe a slight warp stabalizer would have helped. :)

    UPDATE: Thank you guys! I've been very busy lately and I was able to see some comments just now. Really appreciate. I think all the technical aspects are listed in the description, so if you expand that you will find all the information that you need. Again, this video was shot while I was on vacation in London. I didn't use any rig. I simply put the camera on my super 8mm camera handle and that's it. I didn't use any external monitor, or cages or nothing. Camera, metabones, sigma 18-35 and the handle. Again, thank you very much for all your comments and support. I just moved to Salt Lake City now and I am planning to shoot a Cinematic Salt Lake City video :) Stay tuned!

    The color and sharpness is really amazing from this little cam. Cinema quality stuff.
    The footage is a bit shaky at times, which kindo breaks the cinema feeling of it.
    I've watched some of your other work, the wooden bootle ad is really good with the dolly shots etc, super good feeling and professional look :)

    • @kaihocompany
      @kaihocompany Před 8 lety

      +Bananas and Bass It kinda depends on the occasion doesn't it? Shaky camera work is being used a lot in cinema, during war scenes, car chases, when the main character is in distress,...
      So I wouldn't say shaky camera work breaks the cinematic feeling, but it's all subjective anyway.

    • @bananasandbass
      @bananasandbass Před 8 lety +1

      Brandon Lagaert Yes that's true. But there's different kinds of shake. There's more grand gesture shakes, and more smaller vibration-like shakes.
      The size of a camera and maybe rig has a lot to do with how a handheld shot will look eventually.
      If you put a mid-size or large video/cine camera in your hands and walk around. It will move around the frame a bit, like shake, but not vibrate.
      If you hold an iPhone or M4/3 camera in your hand wihtout IS, it will micro shake/jitter/vibrate differently.
      I'm just clarifying that I'm not talking about handheld vs tripod/dolly. But rather vibrations.
      Since most cinema handheld is still stabilised by at least a shoulder rig. Which will move, but just dampen vibrations, and just allow for more natural shakes that don't distract much and can actually add to indeed action shots etc.
