Johnny and Edgar Winter were a couple of our favorites when I was a teenager in the early 70's. Rick Derringer could absolutely slay it as well. Got to see Edgar at the Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery, Alabama. in 74 I think it was. The Frankenstein album had just come out in July. I still have the album. Thanks Jay! You are helping me re-live my misspent youth. I turned 17 that year. lol
I never missed a concert at HOB in Orlando with Johnny or Buddy. Some cat named Ken posting your videos with comments off. Very not cool. You are making a transition from performer to teacher. And you are a great player and maybe a better teacher. As Muddy mentored Buddy. And as Albert King mentored SRV, so can you.
So jealous!! I would have loved to have seen Johnny. I know Ken. I did some songs for him last year for his little van that he records people in and takes to festivals and what not. Really cool guy. Those videos are for him to do what he likes with (promo for the van etc.). Thanks for looking out for me though! Really really appreciate it!
You're a legend mate! 👊
Thank you for the lesson.
My absolute pleasure!
GO JOHNNY GO
Loved the lesson!
Super glad!! Hopefully you got something from it!
