This actually makes me want to watch Netflix.
Poll are 67j667
@@aliciabell6688 Sounds like a Stephen King book adaptation
Netflix loves canceling quality content but loves pooping out many things like Emily in Paris and 365 days in rapid succession
They just canceled Locke and key a few months ago even though it was pretty popular and had more comics available for content.
Is emily in parks about a girl going from park to park ?
@@emmarosie7176 I’d rather watch that. My autocorrect is infamously a drunk
Anne with an E was such a good show every time I rewatch I wish I forget the show to watch it for the first time again and again
Not sure about Emily in Paris, but 365 days is produced by a foriegn production company and Netflix just have distrubution rights. It’s also a movie, so it’s a terrible comparison financially speaking. Even if they did produce 365, it’s way cheaper to make one Netflix movie then a whole Netflix series of multiple episodes. And the 365 days movies are far cheaper to buy distribution rights to in comparison to producing a season of a series. And every new movie brings a surge of interest to the service. That’s also why they have so many foriegn series and movies in Netflix, cheap licensing contracts compared to some of the american stuff.
Addendum, just checked. Emily in Paris is a product of Viacom CBS who is backing production cost…and hate it or love it has enough of an audience worth continued licensing and Netflix isn’t footing the full production bill.
Unfortunately, Netflix doesn’t have the unlimited pockets it use to for taking risk. I honestly think they should just produce new series WITH AN ENDING. Worse that happens is the show is popular and gets a second season but if it doesn’t, fans aren’t left hanging. The cliff hanging hook is failing more series then it’s helping.
Netflix really is a graveyard of cancelled shows. I usually don't want to watch them because so often I've found myself emotionally invested in a show that's going nowhere. It's at the point where I'm really hesitant to watch a new show until the next season is announced.
So they should delete a show if it has zero guarantee of finishing? That doesn't make sense.
And not watching a show until the next season is announced is the reason next seasons aren't greenlit.
@@itsgonnabeanaurfromme first of all you know thats not what they were saying at all, and secondly the market is meant to adapt To The Viewers not the other way around.
Honestly same, I have done that way to many times, now I just watch finnished shows.
HBO is going the same way. It's sad.
that is why I mostly watch shows that are meant to be short (1-3 seasons) or Korean shows. damn I am still waiting for Arthdal Chronicles season 2 and Kingdom season 3, both ended on huge cliffhangers.
I think that is true for many of us I also have the same problem with W.B. and when they do that they create problem for themselves they launch a show people are hesitant because they don't want to get invested and then yeah it's canceled, but they think people are uninterested.
I was really sad when I saw his post on tumblr and learned the show got canceled. I really liked The Midnight Club and would've loved a second season. But I'm still very glad he at least didn't leave us hanging and told us what would've happened.
FUCK I thought it was a lie, noooooooooooo I'm going to SCREAM, that was the best show, GODDAMN IT
Midnight Club was horrible, so boring and disappointing after haunting of hill house
I would love to see more of Pike's work adapted and updated, I'm so disappointed.
What would've happened? Goddammit :(
I thought it was going to be a limited series based on Flanagan’s other miniseries
The Midnight Club being canceled leaves us little to no hope of having horror series on this platform become more mainstream. Mike Flanagan has an imaginative mind and he can change our perspectives on certain things if he wants us to.
bot
This show just wasnt that good, his other work is not getting cancelled. I dont want lazy horror shows with writing on par to Riverdale stay
@@0912soolihow? i understand it not being for everyone but this is the only ya media i’ve ever seen that treats the desired audience and characters in the story as adults
Yeah, I loved the show and wish it got another season. It’s not for everyone, but there is an audience for it and I wish they were better represented.
Sad part is that they keep cancelling these shows because of lower viewership but a lot of times i don't even know about the show before it gets cancelled. I'm sure i'm not the only one and so it feels like a lot of shows are getting cancelled before they had a chance to really grab their full audience. Just wish they'd make more shows with a clear ending plan and stuck to it, just one or 2 season of story, for it to then be something we can go back to in the future and have a good full watch of. So many shows end up not being finished and totally useless for future watching. Total waste of talent and manpower.
That's exactly what they tend to do, they don't promote à lot of their New shows/movie. Just the day it will be release and that's it.
Also they don’t promote the shows.. I binged watched season 1 of dark when I was told about it season popped up burned through it.
I mean, I finished watching Midnight Club tonight, so yeaaah... thanks Netflix
That’s a good point. Hadn’t considered that aspect.
I mean, a lot of people watched this show. Along with many other shows they tend to cancel them just because they aren't stranger things or Wednesday.
I'm still devastated that Netflix canceled The Glow, Mindhunter and The Get Down. Absolute gems of Netflix. Than we get waste of screentime like Emily in Paris, 365, The Kissing Booth or Tall Girl.
I remember The Get Down and I was so excited to see more of it... what a shame they had to cancel it
Emily in Paris is not bad at all.
Why do they cancel all of the best shows, yet greenlight numerous Tall Girl and Kissing Booth movies? I'm still salty over Everything Sucks, Julie and the Phantoms, GLOW, I am Not Okay with This, and the Society, just to name a few.
Those cancellations HURTED
Mostly it’s due to completion rates. People will hate watch Tall Girl and Kissing Booth (and younger teens will mostly eat this movies) while Netflix releases the whole season of its shows at once and not everyone will binge watch them. If people don’t watch the whole season fast, Netflix thinks the show isn’t good enough and cancels it. We got to know why Everything Sucks and First Kill were cancelled and both were due to completion rates. I remember reading that someone big from Netflix really liked Everything Sucks but almost no one bothered to finish even the first episode, so it wasn’t worth spending money on a second season because the public interested was too small and there was no signs of a possible new and bigger public for season two. I am not okay with this and the society were cancelled due to COVID but they never said the specific reason, why not just hold the shows until the lockdown was over? (Maybe they couldn’t hold the cast’s contracts?)
GLOW was also because of the covid lockdown :(
.The Society was INCREDIBLY flawed but I'd still take more of it over Tall Girl anything. ::sigh:: were not the target demo any more folks
Julie and the Phantoms season 2 has been cancelled?!!! I still had hope...
How do they decided to cancel another amazing project by someone behind three of their most successful shows? This series had some amazing potential, especially as it was marketable to both fans of previous Flanagan work and young adults/teens, and between cancelling all of their most promising shows and the new account sharing rules it's starting to seem like Netflix is actively trying to destroy its own platform.
They probably would have had to pay the writers and actors more in the second season because of the success of the first one, and because they don’t want to pay for anything they instead decided to kill the show, contributing to how they are slowly killing themselves. If you see the shows they keep, those are ones that obviously don’t need very qualified writers and show runners (see Riverdale, Kissing Booth, etc), but are still hate watched, or just left on as mindless entertainment. Because the people making it aren’t that great, they don’t need to pay them properly, and because of the people watching it ironically, they still make money. I believe that that is also why many fanfics are being picked up, because they can probably get the rights easier and still make the writer‘s carrier because they might not have a chance to see their fanfic made into a movie otherwise and pocket change for Netflix is a crazy amount of money for the writer.
It sort of feels like the beginning of Fahrenheit 451, the shows that make us think and feel things, with talent behind them are being replaced with trashy mindless things.
What’s amazing about it? We use that word for anything even remotely enjoyable
@@Guineapigsreadingbooks That's actually makes a lot of sense, even if it's mildly infuriating. It's really sad that they'd rather screw themselves over long-term rather than actually pay good creative teams to make decent content.
@@Guineapigsreadingbooks Are you sure season one was such a hit? I couldn't bring myself to finish this one. That aside, I've read a lot of people share the same opinion that this show pales in comparison to his previous work. We could try not making comparisons but then the show would still be super underwhelming to me. I guess different tastes, sure, but it just doesn't look like it was successful on Netflix and perhaps that's why they're cancelling it, no? That's usually the case. Some shows end up being niche and not worth investing on another season.
@@Matthew-ij3zm I can’t say for sure how successful this particular show was, but generally there are a lot of shows that are really liked (once again, as far as I can tell) but still get cancelled after one or two seasons.
“I’m sure Amazon will treat him right” *cries in paper girls* 😭
Goodness, what a letdown was that series! Not enough to discourage me from reading the original comics, but STILL... somebody even DARED to describe it as the worthy successor of Dark. OF DARK!!!!
@@kronk2.094 oh wow I love the show but I definitely wouldn’t put it up there with dark that’s just wild 🤣
I really wanted to like that show, but it just kept falling short of the comic. The actresses did a good job at least.
@@jacobd1984 i didn't read the comics so I went in with a blank slate, which is probably why I liked it so much. I don't think it was the pinnacle of television obviusly, but it was good enough to me that I was really dissapointed when we didn't get a season 2 and it made me cry lol. I should probably read the comics now
I’m so exhausted by Netflix’s cancellation party that I’ve rarely watched anything on that platform this past year. I definitely don’t do any random browsing there, I just watch very specific things I know I want to see. It seems like Netflix didn’t advertise The Midnight Club at all.
Fr, they suck so hard when it comes to their entertainment. They always choose the worst shows to greenlight and cancel shows that have potential, then have the audacity to wonder why their subscribers are falling and more people are pirating. No one likes to be edged only to get blue balled every. single. time.
legit I've decreased my Netflix viewing by like 90% or more in the last year due to my rejection feelings over all the cancelled shows. Sounds silly, but when it's my comfort place for a ton of fun random shows ( like it was years ago) I can't help but feel annoyed and bitter towards the 'Flix considering their platform clearly cares way more about profit than quality content being sponsored and promoted
I think I will be angry about The Baby Sitters Club forever.
I hate shows getting canceled on cliffhangers. I’ll never be okay after galavant, I’m not okay with this, son of zorn, and the gifted(even though that cliffhanger sucked) getting cancelled when they did
Insert rant about Wolf Lake here.
And about "I'm not okay with this"
@@geedude314 I've watched it 3-4 times now and love it so much, so not okay with it being cancelled 😭
I miss galavant so much 😭😭
I haven't seen The Midnight Club yet but as someone who DEVOURED Christopher Pike books as a teen (including the actual The Midnight Club book) I was really looking forward watching it. So incredibly disappointing to learn that Netflix added this show to the chopping block, a fate that other quality shows have shared.
With Netflix adding the new "no account sharing" rule, they really need to step up their game when it comes to original content if they want to keep people subscribing.
@@osric729We should be more vocal to let them know why we unsub, or they’ll just keep canceling shows.
If you are a fan of some specific content and would like to avoid it being cancelled, I suggest watching it on the first week of release. That’s the data Netflix uses to decide how successful any given show is and if they will renew it
I cried my little girl eyes out when I read the book as a kid so I feel your pain. However, I don’t think this particular story needed a second season. It has a soft cliffhanger that could have been built upon easily, but overall, didn’t necessarily need a second season.
Dont devour books dude, read them.
@@LaFlor718 Yeah, the cliffhanger was very soft and a nice touch, especially since it did basically confirm my theory. They could’ve used the second season for more characters and more backstory, but it doesn’t need a second season. Even though I wish there was one.
first kill getting canceled is a crime against god.
I was so excited for another Flanagan series and then release day came and I had to SEARCH Netflix for it because it wasn't promoted or suggested anywhere on the app, to the point I thought I'd got the wrong day. If they weren't gonna push it on release day what hope did this show have.
I'm so glad Mike gave us the Season 2 info. To me, it would have made me love the series as much as his others to have both halves of the whole. I was underwhelmed with most of Season 1, but had we gotten at least the 2nd Season, it alone would have been perfect 💜
Damn, not even surprised, but it is sad. Also, I'd LOVE a Netflix's Wednesday video analysis from you sm
Working on it now! Might be a bit less detailed than usual because I need to travel next week but it's on the way unless something happens :)
@@AmandaTheJedi YAY I LOVE U QUEEN
I really would’ve loved to see Natsuki’s story continued. I resonated with her very much in the first season, as I have dealt with suicidal ideation for a long time but am now diagnosed with a disabling condition, which feels like the world giving me a sign that I am meant to leave. I would’ve loved to see her thoughts and emotions when she is soon to pass; she realizes how lucky she was to survive her attempt, so for her to be brought right back to the edge of death and come to terms with that, knowing she wouldn’t be so lucky this time, would’ve really hit home and surely be emotional. Also, I really wish we got to see more of Ilonka and Kevin. The whole first season we watch them grow close, so close they feel as if they already knew each other, and I would’ve really loved to see how their relationship evolves yet follows the pattern of their previous lives with them now being romantically involved.
ugh I’m so sad about this. I loved the cast and I wanted to see their stories play out despite how tragic it would be. I feel like this was a long time coming for creators wanting to leaving Nexflix tho since they tend to cancel shows for cheaper profits.
Flanagan has EASILY become my favorite creator since all his Netflix creations (btw i can't wait for you to do HILL HOUSE!!! lol) but The Midnight Club was probably my least fave out of all of his Netflix shows. However, I am super bummed they cancelled it, so thanks for this chickadee!

I will never forgive Netflix for cancelling The Get Down and Sense8. It feels like they’re playing with my heart every time I get invested in a new show that gets cancelled
Everyone needs a good psychopomp to help guide them through death. Glad the janitor was there for them.
I did like how non nefarious everything becomes once you learn what's really happened. Its the how the unknown is scarier than the truth. Pretty bummed this was cancelled, especially since it was apparently only going to be 2 seasons long. Like jeez. Super grateful he told us what would've happened, that was unexpected and really nice.
I'm... so early. Heck?
But damn, Netflix really has a knack for cancelling the wrong bloody shows. We lose all these good shows that have actual potential, instead we get season XY of Riverdale, however many movies of 365 days and After. Just... damn.
I liked the show there were some flaws but I do think a season 2 would’ve done some good answering some open ended questions
Ikr i really like the show but i wanted to see what the deal was with the old lady and the old man
yes. I started tearing when u said dead doesn’t mean gone
while it's probably the next show on the Netflix chopping block i just wanna say that Warrior Nun Season 2 was pretty great and i definitely think that it would be up your alley. (first half of season 1 is pretty slow, just skip through the boring parts its fine)
I'll save everyone the trouble of Winx: there's a Sailor Moon battle, they save Skylar instead of the interesting character, and Terra's plants couldn't breathe life into either season.
When I was going through Flanagan's post I kept thinking, "that''s what Amanda predicted!" I also hope there can eventually be another option.
Netflix's brains are like horcruxes. Rare & hard to find.
This cancellation hurt, but if its sacrifice means we finally get a proper DARK TOWER adaptation..."A small price to pay for salvation."
Although I can’t forgive Amazon for canceling The Wilds either soooo hopefully they won’t dump Flanagans stuff.
Also yes I’m also still very upset about First Kill… these streaming giants are just gonna lose us if they don’t stick with something
I am so upset about The Wilds
I’ll truly never forgive Prime for the Wilds, genuinely one of my favorite shows of all time. The cliffhanger it ended on….I could actually cry lolol
@@kookykiddo right?!?! Like it was such a strong start to the show and then they just leave it like that?!? I was like wtf why did you do this? Imagine Mike Flanagan picks it up… that would be amazing.
@@xxDeeMmmVeexx literallyyyy ugh. I’d be so happy if that happened but I won’t get my hopes up. I wish though 😭
thank you for letting me know that The Wilds got canceled. Ugh. I enjoyed that show so much and I was so looking forward to season 3. Amazon never advertised it, so it's no surprise that it didn't do well. I watched season 1 during lockdown and didn't even know season 2 came out until earlier this year (same with Hanna),
I'm still salty Netflix canceled Santa Clarita Diet with no closure for Timothy Olyphant's character. It literally ends with a zombie spider ball crawling into his ear but he opens his eyes... SIGN THE PETITION TO BRING IT BACK! 😆
Finally someone who gets me. Like what a load of garbage
Ngl im kinda surprised you havent watched or maybe havent talked about Warrior nun 😗😗😗 i feel like itd be right up your alley
Man, I was really lookin forward to a season 2 & it sounds like it would’ve been incredible. First Crazyhead, then Marianne, and now The Midnight Club. Maybe one day Netflix WON’T cancel my new favorite horror show after only one season 😣
Remember me, The Last Vampire, and The Immortal were my favourite stories of his. I literally gasped out loud when you said Remember me was going to be one of the stories. Does netflix not understand how much ill will they're creating by constantly taking beloved IP's and trashing them?
I'm so mad that Remember Me was going to be included in season 2, that's my favorite Pike series! I think The Last Vampire could make a good adaptation too, but I think that should be its own series.
It sucks that a lot of these shows are being cut short but I've personally been more invested in the limited series shows or shows that are meant to be just 1 season. A real treasure just dropped a few weeks ago called First Love for anyone interested in a good Japanese romantic drama.
not me starting to cry while watching this (especially every time you mention Kevin dying)
Well that hurts… This might be my villain origin story tbh, Netflix have gotten away with this too many times ;-;
When anya died in the midnight club, it reminded me of a friend who died years ago. Our friends and I said our final goodbyes while she was in a coma and this show really resonated with me in regards to that. I'm really sad this was added to the graveyard with other shows who didn't deserve this
Oh I'm so sad The Midnight Club isn't coming back - thank you so much for this video Amanda
I am so upset this show got cancelled, I just finished it a couple of weeks ago and was so excited to see the second season :(
Seriously if after tbh and first kill they now cancel warrior nun I'm cancelling my Netflix
Im really disappointed that Netflix cancelled s2, the acting from the actors was AMAZING and this series deserved so much more. After reading the blog post, i really would have enjoyed it on screen. Sigh, i hope he releases the scripts for the stories the kids were going to tell, cuz they seemed really interesting.
I really enjoyed the midnight club, really bummed to hear it's canceled. Shout out to Mike tho for telling us what was gonna happen, I really wish more shows did that
I was so surprised to see that the show got cancelled, it was one of the good ones this year. Glad we could get he cliff hangers solved. The sad thing was that reading the spoilers made me think that the season 2 would have been better than season 1. Specially given the fact that they would have killed most of the cast.
Aaaawe man I really loved this show 😭 I was sure it was going to get a 2nd season
This show was amazing, I really developed a relationship with the cast, it hurts that the show was cancelled
I'm honestly super pissed that this has been cancelled, but I'm glad Flanagan gave us insight in how it would have gone. While Midnight Club falls in third place for me (HH, BM, MC, MM), I really liked this show and was looking forward to the second season. Considering how good Flanagan is, I'm also surprised they cancelled one of HIS shows. Their loss. I know he will continue to do good work and I hope he has a better time with Amazon.
The Midnight Club was pretty easily my least favorite of Flanagan's Netflix shows (YA is just not where my heart lies), but I liked it nevertheless and am sorry it will remain incomplete. Like you, I'm delighted that Flanagan was willing to share his plans for the cancelled Season 2. Thanks for sharing them and your thoughts on them!
I’ll never watch an unfinished show on Netflix after the OA. I was there, messaging them everyday, bombing their socials with so many others. It was wild. All for naught. Never again.
God, losing the OA hurt... it still does
@emilybroderick2421 I'm at least glad that Brandon Perea got to be in Jordan Peele's 'Nope' (French was my Favourite character in The OA).
Someone should cast him as Kyle Rayner in the Upcoming HBO Green Lantern series.
Honestly almost all of the Pike books would make great movies/series Remeber Me, Last Act, The Weekend, Slumber Party soooo good
For sure, I think they would make great teen horror movies/series!
I read all the Pike books in my school library. I don't remember those titles by name but it's been many years. Probably ought to go see what I can go find sometime. Wouldn't mind catching up on whatever I missed.
I read so many of his books back in middle and highschool. I loved the thirst series but to this day I'm still confused by the ending.
I love your “random” content, hell I love all your content! Thank you for keeping us in the loop because I’d have been lost forever.
It's interesting how most things that was ominous in the first season wasn't exactly bad in general. The couple reincarnations were just trying to find one another, Stanton was just dealing with her own problems and was a good person, creepy shadow helped them to face the worst part of themselves before they moved on and even though the janitor is death it's the more comforting representation of death
Thank you so much, you telling the story was the next best thing after getting an actual season 2 😭❤️
I'm so bummed, I really wanted to see more. I loved that show. I've got a chronic illness and am used to discussing death with sick friends so I resonated with what they were going thru. Anyway shit.
I'm still mad Netflix cancelled "the imperfects". I really liked this show
omg noooo I just finished that one, it was left on such a big cliffhanger too
Yes! I also watched through that show in a milli second, and then ofcorse CANCELLED.
Whats the point of giving my time tobsomething new over and over if its just gonna get cancelled after one season. It just keeps happening, ehy do they take on all these projects if they clearly havent got the funds to makr them and barely market them?
I watch ALOT of supernatural stuff on Netflix and this show didnt show up in my suggested feed until acyear after release, and they wonder why the viewing numbers are low on release?
WAIT ALREADY???? it was literally just released i wanted to watch it 😭😭😭
@@ninino86 because they're stupid beyond all belief and think that having random odds and ends will keep people interested instead of fully completed shows that actually interest people.
I'm so bummed it was cancelled, I would have loved to see all this play out on screen :(
I remember reading Remember Me when I was younger and it really just hit me in such a deep way, the emotional journey that is that book is insane. One of my favorites for sure.
I really appreciate this video. I enjoyed the series and would have liked to see more. So thank you Amanda for so thoroughly explaining the book which I have not read.
Also I dont think the show was marketed well. The trailer just didn't really sell it with them just saying the code. I also don't think many people covered the show which ticked me off because they covered his other shows with this one they just ignored. One particular reviewer had said a year before the show was even announced that he read Pike's books but NOTHING from him about the show. ARRGH! Thanks, Amanda for covering this show, We Pike fans appreciate it.
I didn’t know that they decided NOT to do a second season until I saw this, and now I’m sad as hell. I know this wasn’t what everyone wanted, but man, it was such a beautiful show (yet again) and I wanted more. 😭
I love this sort of video! It feels behind the scenes and forbidden
bless you for doing all these mike flanagan videos. i'm too chicken to watch his stuff but i love hearing about the emotional beats
Thank you so much for this! I'm not active on Twitter so I probably wouldnt have known what happened otherwise. As someone who has seen what feels like more than my fair share of death since a young age, the show resonated with me. It hit hard and I was brought to tears and unpleasant sobbing several times.
Oh wow I'm excited for a mike Flanagan dark tower!! That series has needed a good movie adaptation for so long. It is a great world that could be made into an excellent series of movies. Perfect for Flanagan. The gunslinger world is so interesting and I so hope it does it justice.
I needed this. So glad he gave us the details and happy to made the vidoe because otherwise I probably never would have known.
I was SO excited for this show. I literally counted down the days til its premiere and watched it immediately. I was so excited for season 2.
Atleast Flanagan gave us some closure, he's a good dude.
Netflix does horror so dirty. I'll never forgive them for cancelling Marianne.
Isn’t Flanagan also working on The Fall of House Usher? That’s probably why Netflix felt okay with canceling Midnight Club since he’s preoccupied with another project for them.
Fall of the house of usher has been finished since early this year I believe, it’s in the final editing process for release early/mid next year
Thanks for doing this video, read the post when it came out and was like agh this sucks to not get another season and also glad to know what Mike was thinking for the cast.
"dead doesn't mean gone" I'm not crying, you are
Well, this is how I found out it was cancelled :( Hearing about the way next season would've gone this way was much better than reading about it would have been. The second season would have torn me to teensy little pieces emotionally, I think. Ilonka and Kevin were too dang cute (to live, I guess.).
This was so good thank you
Honestly, Midnight Club should have been a limited series or a movie. I love how they put Christopher Pike's other novels in the series. I just wish they included the story Kevin story about the angel.. it was beautiful. As for Remember Me.. that is one of Pikes' best work and deserves its own movie
already got teary eyed and hurting throat just by listening to amanda tell us what she red in the blog post.
i am certain watching s2 would have destroyed us all - what a shame :”)
Okay, I know this is really late, but I actually read Remember me in high school and loved it but could never recall the name for some reason, and you helped me find it! Thanks Amanda!
Appreciate this video.
1:44 speaking of The Dark Tower, the only Stephen King movies I've seen are Firestarter, Stand By Me and Misery. I'm not a horror fan. But the fact that ALL of his work takes in a multiverse made me want to ask, what's THEIR equivalent of Crisis on Infinite Earths?
Are you asking what the plot to the Dark Tower is? I can elaborate, with very few spoilers, if you are interested.
Sure. Ok
Thanks so much for this video. I had no idea there was going to be s2, or that it got cancelled. I only just finished the show.
Did I almost cry while watching the video? I absolutely did.
I'm still not over the cancellation of First Kill😔 it was the camp sapphic love story we all deserved, taken before its time. I'm not actually surprised Midnight Club was cancelled though, it was pretty formulaic, was expecting more given how good his other shows were.
I’m so sad to hear of the cancellation… but glad Mike Flanagan gave us all the info to tie up the series.
Saved me some tears cause even the descriptions you read had me on the verge of them, so I can’t imagine how much I would have sobbed if we’d gotten a full season 2. 😭🥺😂
I am so pissed off right now. Not even Mike Flanagan is safe on Netflix anymore. Whats the point of watching anythings first season on Netflix anymore? So many things have been cancelled lately, what the point in investing my time with a new property, when they keep and keep getting cut off at the knees, five seconds into their lifespan?
Here's how it looks:
Here's something new! .... Gone!
Here's something new! .... Gone!
Here's something new! .... Gone!
When not even established directors who has delivered them THREE successfull to moderate successfull series can get a inch of trust, what the point?
I really thought that they thought of him as one of their more bankable assets.
Flanniverse ranked in order:
1) House of Usher (by a lot)
2) Midnight Mass
3) Haunting of Hill House
4) Bly Manor
5) Midnight Club (by a LOT)
Bottom line: NO ONE wants to think about terminally ill children. In addition to that, it was BORING. I absolutely LOVED the rest of his stuff but MC was really not good (my opinon).
You've seen Teenage Bounty Hunters??? Man, the cliffhangers killed me especially because it seems like Netflix really left that show slip into obscurity without giving it much of a change ;_;;
Aw, that's really nice. To give fans a conclusion, even if not in the perfect way.
The cancellation of Teenage Bounty Hunters was the last straw in my divorce with Netflix. They are worse than Fox in the 90s.
I understand Netflix’s thought process of “new shows equal new subscriptions”, but do the not care about the possibility of people jumping ship after they cancel or lose too many things that they like?
I’m very angry at Netflix for denying me the inevitable buckets of tears that seem to come with every Mike Flanagan show. I am grateful the he was open to sharing the future plans though
We are really hoping warrior nun doesn’t get the ax too. It would be super nice a video from you about the show 😊
Its fine.... im not crying....
Have you watched Warrior Nun yet? Promise it's worth it.
I do find it interesting that most of the time the creators don't badmouth Netflix for the axing but thank them for taking a chance on a show almost no one else would.
I’m happy for Spencer! He was my other favorite character.
Mike Flanagan still getting a W even with a canceled series.
Well, it's a good thing the Midnight Club is a show about preparing you for endings. :(
Please make a video about OA, it’s an underrated gem from Netflix!!!
I'm PISSED about the Midnight Club cancellation, mainly because Remember Me is one of my favorite Christopher Pike novel series and I'd always dreamed of seeing a live action adaptation of it someday. to think that we were so close to getting it and Netflix just dashed the cup from our lips...I'm seething.
Thank you for this video. My work computer has Tumblr blocked so I couldn't access Mike's post when he originally uploaded it. Yeah, I could just pull it up on my phone and read it but... I'm lazy.
I was lighting my Metaphorical Candle at my 'The OA' Vigil when I saw the Notification for this.
