Toasted Cassava Side Dish [Brasil’s Farofa]

  • Farofa is a very easy to make Brazilian side dish usually served with beans. It can also be served with meats to give it that crunchy touch. And some might eat it alone if prepared with eggs and or bacon.
    Ingredients for video recipe
    • 2 cups of casava flour
    • 8 tbs of unsalted butter
    • 1 chopped yellow onion
    • Salt to taste
    • Black ground pepper to taste
    • Chopped black olives ( optional)
    • Neutral cooking oil such as sunflower oil
