  • In this episode of FireTech the Fire Bureau's Colin Cumesty teaches us about "bed shakers" and how they can supplement our home's working smoke alarms to make sure deaf and hard of hearing persons can still hear their smoke alarms.

I have a questions, I been looking all over the website for bedshaker alerts when it hears the security siren or carbon monoxide or in this case the fire alarm, will this device activate the bed shaker when it comes to any of those sounds? I am having hard time finding something than buying an entire unit because of compatibility limitations.

I would suggest you contact your local fire department’s fire and life safety educator and see if you can arrange a test of devices. Honesty, i’d love to try this out and I’ll look into this as a future video for the channel.

Would you mind making sure all of your videos are set as "Not For Kids"? (which really should be called "General Audiences" instead) I'm interested in trying to find some of the songs in the video titled "OCFA Marble Mountain Residential Fire Sprinkler Demonstration", but because it's set as "Made For Kids" CZcams's music identification system doesn't show up properly (which is undoubtedly a bug; it should work no matter what).
