Every Second Counts in a Home Fire, Practice Your Escape Plan
Thank you for explaining in detail along with demonstrating how to switch out s/cm detector. Very helpful to a new homeowner. Even the added tip of how to dispose of batteries.
I am so glad I found this, specifically the part about the existence of adapters! I did not know that was possible, and was worried I would need to do re-wiring when replacing my old detectors. Hopefully I won't have to re-wire!
Wanna hear a quick joke? Why did the garage door only open halfway? To give the fire just the riight amount of airflow.
Not enough details about how to remove old one…like hoe to get the freeking thing loose
Thank you for caring enough to put this resource together!
There must really be a lack of hydrants in that neighborhood, that second in engine took FOREVER to lay in a supply line.
Should of fast forward the video to a minute before the smoke
The music is real happening stuff man. Olives and a good scotch. Puts hair on your chest dang gummit!!
I’m sorry for what happened but this is Only in Ohio 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀✌️
why not using the battery one with wireless??
which brand is better??
I had multiple fire drill in my schools
What do you do? I live in Hawaii, and when we get heavy periods of rain and it’s very humid, my fire alarm devices start to chirp every half hour or so. My house and fire alarms is only two years old. Please help?
Its incredible just how fast these fires start and spread
When swapping out do you need to turn off electrical? In electrical breaker box in garage it doesn’t say what circuit it is on.
Not a garden hose in sight.
why was the garage door opened before the fire?
Um...why did the garage open a little bit? And can someone try putting water on it?? Perhaps some fire extinguishers from the neighbors??
Hell Yeah Brothers! JOBTOWN!!

[Plays meme of ohio] what thats ohio?! [Plays meme of ohio again]
2 cars in yard you see this is what happens in the suburbs when you're stoned on meth and don't realize the smoke you smell is not from your pipe. There has to be tons of fumes in that house as long as it's smoldering like that. What kinda neighborhood is that where nobody walk down the street or peak out the window. Not one kid is outside playing all kids are sitting on video games eating Twinkies getting fatter by the minute
If you chose to use that DSC alarm panel on the wall behind you, with the appropriate d’été for, they could be a lot more useful than just chirping in the middle of the night.
Pssh he didn't ream the pipe. And that size house does not need 100 psi.
I hope that I am not the only one that has a smoke detector in the garage...
I would have expected a section explaining where to mount these combination devices. CO falls and smoke rises. So where should this be mounted to best ensure detection of either? Disappointed that a video from a fire department didn't address this.
Fire so far in left front corner of garage so why didnt they use a hose on it !
28 minutes in shows a few people walking away from the house. With 2 vehicles totalled and not saved that even more points off college costs !
Most of this taken prior to any open flame ! Pyro is sitting on roof across the street filming it !
Camera a liitle to shakey for roof or side of house !
There were 2 men trying to get her to come out they even pulled her out but she ran back this video showes none of that
I'm wondering if this was a garage door electrical malfunction. Because it opens but stops 1/3 of the way up. Maybe it was trying to open all the way and the gears or whatever caught and started the fire. 🤷♀️ I know the flames were first seen on the left side but the smoke started before the flames did. Anyone know for sure?
It would've been helpful to hear what you'd have done if anything had gone wrong. E.g., what if the test hadn't set off the other devices? Would you have called an electrician (e.g., to test continuity in the signal wire)?
Yet, it depletes the ozone layer and it's the greatest disadvantage 😶
Oh my lord…. I hope no one was badly injured or harmed!
Excellent educational video. Have a great day, and stay safe 🙂⚘️🚒.
Wait why would you have a fire drill at a hospital like what if some one was having a surgery
There was people coming to the to see if anyone was there and i see the car there and the grage was opening so after it open there was smoke first and then fire i was scared and start to cry maybe the people didn't making out 😭😭😭😭😔😔
Incredible job by the neighbors and the fire department!
"ONLY IN OHIO" they said
If this was an hoa someone would come give them a ticket before they told them there was a fire
So no one in that house smelled smoke 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Was it me or did the firemen seem lethargic and not in a hurry ?
Omg they predicted only in Ohio
Smart police.. they parked so far away & jogged to the scene. Nothing pisses off a firefighter more than a cop who parks right in front of the burning home & blocks the first pumper or ladder truck's path to ladder the house.
Hey grab the marshmallows, we're going code red 😂
Wie langsam und enspannt die Feuerwehr austeigt. In Deutschland undenkbar
All this time I was looking at the wrong house😔
I have to say the fire crew response time is poor
It is hard to figure out there’s a fire because one time on Fourth of July at my aunts house after fireworks we put all of the finished fireworks in the trash bin outside and we went to the living room. I don’t remember this, but everyone else does maybe I was young but my grandpa went in the garage to set up the car for my grandma and, the trashcan was on fire and the trashcan was right by the house so the garage started to catch on fire and somehow one of the fireworks still had like fire or something in it. If my grandpa go in there their house will probably been on fire.
