Slim line cards are easy to make and they are all the rage right now. Let me show you with this card video how to get started.
Slim line cards are a different sized card that I what I normally make. Over the years I have made this sized card several times and they are always a favorite. You'll see why everyone's making these cards once you view these!
Variety IS the spice of life and combine that with an awesome handmade card and that equals success every time in my book.
The overall size of the card is 3 3/4" x 9 and fits perfectly in a regular business sized envelope. You could make an envelope, but that is just something I typically don't; I made sure my card fit in an envelope I had.

Fun card. I have also seen eight and a half by seven or nine by seven as dimensions for the Slimline card, so it does give people some options period of course all three would fit into the envelope. When I had an envelope with that security stuff, I put a paper scrap over the inside flap. Not that it really matters because the card is the thing, but it just made it a little bit nicer, and then sometimes I put a scrap over the outside flap as well just so that it coordinates. This is a lovely card.
I do that trick of putting an embellishment over a smudge or a boo-boos all the time! Works like a charm. One could also use even less ribbon by using the smaller piece and just taping it near the edges since you're not seeing what's behind where the sentiment is.

I bought all four cardstock that were on clearence because they were so cheap. Some of the colors will be great for the card base for this kind of card. Some of them will be fun and some of them will be practical. I kept hearing about the Slimline card and I'm glad somebody finally did a video I could watch.

Slimline cards were pretty off limits for me because there is so much to space to fill on the card. I never could figure out what to decorate them with. This is a great way to show that you don't have to fill in the entire card. Great cards! TFS💗

Pretty cards. Love the colors and fall,too. I mafe a 'slimline' years ago out of necessity- needed the length so cash would fit. Now its a 'thing'. I make cards any ole size since I make envelopes to match. 👍
