real shit i saw this video before talking about how if you get straight A's, people will say your a nerd, if you get Ds and Cs, people will call you dumb. If you talk too much people will say your annoying, talk to little people will say your a shut in. So trying to conform to people is pointless, reason i always do everything like working out for myself not for validation.
self reflection is a tricky topic for me because it creates a dilemma of uncertainty. thoughts 'like if i constantly pick and prod at my way of thinking, is anything I do worth it? will I ever be enough to reach my goals? these questions are unanswerable and daunting, that's the beauty of it. I am actually growing when i feel im being cut down. I am actually at my greatest when I feel like everyone is doubting me. when I was younger i depended on definitive answers to complicated questions, the one liners and repeated phrases of the internet and 'you'll know when you're older', but a huge thing that would have saved me so much time is validation in feeling lost and confused and not being sold this idea that it would all make sense when i was older. the only thing that has changed is i know how much i don't know, and how much most other people know.

I feel like with me turning 18 my childhood ends and I’m not satisfied with the experiences I’ve made yet. I missed out on a lot and I regret that. I don’t like to be reminded that I’m soon gonna be 18 but I can’t avoid it.
@@tomscarborough experiences with friends and just being outside. Due to Covid and video games I spend so much time inside and after I recognized how bad my social skills are. For 2 years now I’ve been really working on changing that, and it has changed but it was just a very short time frame and now that adulthood starts it’s going to be over.
