    • @audilover6591
      @audilover6591  Před 5 měsíci

      Thank you,
      the injectors bolts are stretch bolts so it needs to be tightened in 2 steps, first tighten the bolts to 3nm and then further 270 degrees, in that way the bolts stretches properly.
      Small advice, each time you removing the injectors do not use the old bolts because they could snap, use always new bolts.

    Quick question, when adjusting the injectors, it states on the Audi manual that the roller side of the rocker arm should be at the highest point.
    In this video it says the opposite (18:58) Could you please clarify? Thank you.

      You have to set the rockarm to the lowest point for the injector that you are adjusting, after that you screw the injector screw all the way till the injector spring is fully compressed, after that you unscrew the injector screw minus 180°.
      Do the same procedure on all 4 injectors.

      @@audilover6591 This is an 07 Quattro with 150K on the clock. The belt tensioner pulled the stud and the belt jumped. Fortunately, as it has straight valves it only broke one of the rockers. After effecting a repair and putting it back together I noticed when adjusting the injector lash as per your video and several other sources that the injector adjustment screws are not in the position they were before I stripped it down, which makes me think, due to age and mileage a previous technician had to do quite a lot of adjustment to get it to run right, so it's probably time for new injectors. I've checked the wiring harness and it's fine. One thing I do notice is that the injector timing is wandering all over the place (anything from 4 degrees BTDC to 5 degress ATDC with no ryhme or reason as to why). It's very puzzling.

      @@adwarrior I think you’re injector screws are not the same because from the factory the injectors initially was adjusted -270° and after the revision the new adjustment was -180° because the cars was running even smoother because of higher injector pressure.
      So this is why in some workshop manuals you have 2 options 270° and 180°, maybe someone that was fixing your car adjusted to 270°.

It feels like I'm feathering the accelerator as if I'm giving gas letting go repeats it's self. Revs don't move so it's not a slipping clutch. Boost pipe under driver side radiator to turbo was leaking so I've replaced that. And I then replaced the clutch and dual mass flywheel too. But issue still remains. It does give abit of black smoke on acceleration not excessive. And abit of white smoke on idle. Bare in mind it's remapped EGR delete and straight piped. Any ideas?

      Hi Aliiswell
      It’s really hard to tell what could be without being there and test the car.
      My opinion is that could be some electronic issue like for example (map or maf sensor, injector harness or even the acceleration pedal).
      With the VCDS you can check all off them and see the readings.
      Try to remove the map sensor that is situated after the intercooler, sometimes it gets really dirty so doesn’t giving you a good reading

      ~ one or more used injector can be faulty
      ~ faulty or damaged injector wiring loom
      What you can do is test witch injector or cylinder bank is faulty.
      You should disconnect the injector 1 wiring and try to start the car, if starts (engine will work roughly) that means that the faulty injector is the one you unplugged because the engine can start with 3 other cylinders.

      What was the process after tightening the injectors and plugging in the plugs, did you have to turn the crank to a certain point or anything?

    What were the symptoms? Is the engine quieter after lash adjustment?

    • @audilover6591
      @audilover6591  Před 3 lety +2

      The symptoms was really rough start, shaking when idling and a lot of black smoke on high revs (this was because the injectors were dirty).
      After a seals change and injector cleaning the car starts beautifully and really smoothly.

    What symptoms did you have so you decided to change the seals on the nozzles? Can this be checked via VCDS?
    I have a BMR Passat 125kw PD, end of 2007. The car pulls great, but the first morning ignition is longer (cranks over 6-7x) and if I leave it for 2 days then it is even longer cranking. When I turn it on for the first time, each next starting is fast (1-2x cranking), until 7-8 hours have passed then longer cranking again.
    Someone tells me it could be the cylinder head, although mine has a C mark. It loses coolant, although my mechanic tells it leaking at the water pump. I'll do a belt replacement, a water pump so we can see if it stops leaking. There is no white smoke while driving, but when I start the car, if cranking longer then 7-8x then there is some white smoke but it disappears immediately. The engine runs quietly, in harmony. No smoke while driving. I changed the battery, repaired the starter, changed the seals and gasket on the tandem pump. Could there be a problem with seals on the nozzles?
    Sorry for long story, but i really need your help.
    Thnx in advance! :)

      Which torsion value is best for these types of engines - 125KW pd siemens, 2007. year? Someone says 0.0 and someone tells me -2.5. Who should I trust? :)
