I lived in Pensacola and the late 80s and loved fishing for Pompano off the beach like this! Thank you for your video and letting me relive my past! PS there are millions of spinner sharks during Pompano season!!!

Fisher people don't own the beach, and don't have priority over beach walkers. As long as they don't disturb your gear, you have nothing to complain about.

SO if I'm walking down the beach and your rod is 40 from the water you expect me to walk all the way behind you so I don't walk around your line put your rod holder at the waters edge like where the water meets the shore and then you want look like you think you own the beach
When I fish from the beach I use a rod holder and put it in the waters edge and not act like I own the beach like you assholes who think that they do

I love FL saltwater fishing. When I was a kid my parents used to take us down to Indian Rocks Beach and rent a room on the water for a couple weeks. Some of my best memories are of fishing off the toll bridge at IRB at the tides.

We were fortunate enough to fish with Ron and Sara and become friends with the two of them. No fish were caught on the multiple occasions we were together but lots of laughs and good times were had.

Awesome fishing guys, we here in Australia also have fishing licenses, you can get day or for a few days or a year all different costs , however I don’t have a problem with buying a licences because the money gets used to go back into the fishing industry fixing marinas , boat ramps ,sighnage , bins , filleting tables for doing your fish at the end of the day to take home , breeding programmes for native species to go into dams to keep stocks up etc , lots of thing your licence money goes back into so we can all enjoy fishing , support your fishing industry by getting a licence ,don’t be a free loader get a license everyone, it benefits you and others.

@fishonlinecanada there are so many house rentals, condos and hotels to stay at here that I could never pick one. Some are on the beach, others on our intercostal waterways and for cost effectiveness you can get rentals in our local neighborhoods off the water. Once you vacation here, it’s all about the beach so you will have an amazing time wherever you stay! ❤️🏝️🎣

This video was great. That was a cool shark. What day were you fishing? I’m asking because I was at P-cola beach Wednesday and Thursday caught two puppy drums. It’s was windy and chilly.
This was filmed the weekend before Thanksgiving. It has been way too cold for my liking the last few days here but those drums love this weather. Good job on getting 2! Tight lines ❤️🎣

Warmer clothing # 1! Plus we won’t be going into the water as much to cast out deep or to get sand fleas. But pomps don’t change their habits during winter, there’s just less of them hanging around. Look for structure in the water and cast to the zones with the usual baits should get the job done.
I have noticed that lately, they want smaller profiles. We’ve been using smaller floats or just tiny beads on the pomp rigs.

I have moved to Wisconsin now and really miss my surf and king fishing on one of the piers.

A funny story one of my friend was born and lived in Pompano Beach , and didn't know that a Pompano was a fish and the damm fishing pier has a painted Pompano on the pier house.

And I’m not just talking about her female attributes. Yes, I can see those. But I’m just talking about that being the kind of Woman that would be a pleasure to be around and to be married to. And if I were 40 years younger, I would be on one knee begging her to marry me because there’s no better pleasure in a man’s life than a good woman. And you have definitely found one! I could see it in five minutes!

Permit's big when it's over 35lb. We used to fish for them with whole blue or spotted crabs.

Wish I could find beach carts being sold that are just the frame without the wheels. I Live in Ecuador so shipping with wheels would be insanely pricey, but just the frame should be a lot less weight.

We were fishing the National Seashore, so he was is a park ranger. He was checking to make sure we had our fishing license and that we were following our state’s fishing regulations. It helps protect our fisheries from being overfished.

Why is a sand bar such an impediment? I know these waters and the bottom is smooth and free of things that could possibly snag or cut your line. You should come to where I fish where the bottom is granite and concrete rubble as far as you can throw your bait.
If you know the waters here, then you know that when the tide is low our sandbars can be completely out of the water or have an inch of water. So until the water rises again, and fully submerges the bar, it is necessary to work around those bars to bring in fish. It’s always more conducive to reel them in deeper water rather than dry sand. We’ve fished many different bottoms , rocks, wrecks, etc. so we understand that different conditions need different techniques. Have a great day!🎣❤️
@@reelcoastal There was not one visible sandbar above the water's edge. Not even close to it. A skeptical person would be inclined to believe you're just manufacturing drama in a situation where none existed in order to generate clicks. Don't think I've ever seen anyone else fishing this way.
