BRO - I am a huge nit and I am absolutely snapping that bet on the river in the AA hand!
Appreciate the thoughts! Just curious, how would you handle this spot if the bet was 2/3 pot?
I totally missed this one until now, it just popped up in my feed. What a crazy heater, it’s nice when those come in like that.
Glad you made the call in that last hand, you only need to be right 1 out of 7 to break even and he has QK there as well as some sticky pairs like jj 1010 99 with a spade
Yeah, you’re right. Thanks!
Brandon
Thanks for the entertainment.
Best to you
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!
Let’s Go Brandon
The last hand. Checking the turn with 2 red aces is likely correct in normal NL. Checking with the As & the state betting limit of $300 is insane. Why wouldn’t the KK/QQ just check raise on the flop? He doesn’t have those hands often enough on the turn, and when he does, you still have the odds to call off. The magnitude and size of the pot in absolute monetary value made you timid and lose out on another $300. The game has transitioned to a $300 limit game at that juncture. Approach it as such, and offer the opponent the irresistible 7-1 on a turn call. $300 is tough to extract at the stakes you play at: normally the EV of a full session of work. In the context of that hand it was easy to extract. Seize those rare situations as they arise.
Great thoughts Tim, thanks
First! Glad to see an upload.
Man that’s why I don’t even touch my chips until I know precisely what I’m going to bet. I also think you got bluffed on the second queens hand. People love getting 4 straight boards when you show weakness.
Nice run though!
Yeah, I don’t normally move until I know what I’m doing, but after starting to bet I felt like I hadn’t thought it through enough. Big mistake.
For the bluff, what combos do you think we are getting bluffed by here and how often do you think this is a bluff vs value?
@@cardsandcapital yeah I mean you said yourself in the video you don’t normally do that and recognized it as a mistake. I’ve done it before. I’ve just learned to be very deliberate with my movements during a hand. It’s easy to give away info unintentionally.
@@cardsandcapitalAs for the queens hand upon watching the hand again I think it was a good fold. Even for that price.
All the Jx combos he can have like as J10ss, J10cc, also KQss, QJ(though less likely because you’re blocking) 910 suited, etc are all hands he’d raise and call a 3 bet with and all have you crushed. The only combos I think possible that he might make a small river bet with that you’re beating is something like A10cc, A10ss. He may have thought with your turn check back his ten was good and if it wasn’t it was a scary board and you might fold a medium or low strength hand such as you had. Even so he’d probably check those back on that board.
However I think a Jx or Kx of spades hand much more likely. Personally if I had J10ss I’d have raised your flop bet for sure. Either that or he flopped a straight and was slow playing the flop and tried for some value on the river.
With the odds you’re getting you only need to be right less than 20% of the time and I don’t think you’re even close to that.
Good fold. I stand corrected.
Great session!
Thank you!
Ah, heck nah!! Bang Bang. Can't watch a Seahawks fan do ANYTHING. I'm out. Niner Gang
Haha! Such a solid way to evaluate content.😆
Wasn't the name of this channel something else?
Used to be potato poker, but I changed it recently when I added the investing challenge. If you’re not familiar, I’m investing my wins in the stock market and talking about cards and stocks now.
@@cardsandcapital ohhh ok got you, potato poker in my opinion is a better name. Cards and Capital sounds like a credit card channel lol
😆 yeah, that makes sense
