- CHILLI OIL RECIPE!!! (Easy to make) ✨✨✨
Hello! So here it is, one of my all time favourite condiments to add to everything! It’s aromatic, spicy, textural and soooooo easy to make.
All you need is oil, chilli, a few aromats and you’ve got yourself a full jar of hawt oil 🤪🌶✨
Recipe:
150-200g chilli flakes (depends on how hot are the ones you’ve got)
300-400g oil (amount depends on your oil to chilli crunch preference)
50g salt
50g sugar
20-30g ginger (sliced)
5 cloves garlic
1/2 brown onion (sliced)
Aromats:
3 bay leaves
1 tsp black peppercorns
1 tsp Szechuan peppercorns
3 star anise
1 tsp cloves
1 cinnamon stick
Optional:
80g roasted peanuts
2 tbsp sesame seeds
In a small pot add the oil, garlic, ginger, onion and heat on medium until the ingredients go brown. Add in your aromats for 1 minute and turn off the heat.
In a heat proof bowl add your chilli flakes, salt and sugar.
Strain hot oil over the chilli. Stir in your peanuts and sesame seeds (optional).
This recipe is just a base and allows you to play with any ratios to create your own perfect chilli oil. Feel free to mix up the aromats and spices like using cardamom pods or fennel seeds, your chilli oil is your blank canvas.

Thank you! I've only made basic chili oil but wanted one that's more flavorful. I only have one question, how long can you store a jar after making? I'm the only one that eats it that spicy so I'm wondering how long one jar is safe to store before it has to be eaten up?
I think it would store for at least one week, maybe a few weeks. Google says 2-3 months, I'm not sure if fresh ingredients (garlic and ginger here) were considered though. But you can tell when oil goes rancid. If you want it to last a few months I would prob use dry ingredients for that and def refrigerate

Yo! My mum used to buy me chilli oil off some random dude on Facebook and it was the greatest chili oil I ever tasted. I literally put it on everything. Ever since I've been trying to find a chili oil recipe that comes close to how good that stuff was.Today I was craving it so bad and decided to have another search for a chili oil that might come close. This was the very first result on CZcams and it's the closest thing I've come across so far. That plus the kiwi accent make me genuinely think you might be the person she was buying the original chili oil from?! Did you used to sell this on Lazy Suzan's?!

I highly recommend avocado oil and not canola oil, probably the worst oil for the body I wouldn’t use. Awesome video, I appreciate the tip.
