This gun works very well with an ability based setup. Hunter strand works great because of two grenades and the melee can proc well rounded x2 off a single throw if it hits multiple enemies. But I fully agree, the stat package on targeted is not great.
I don't think we'll get another craftable weapon, at least seasonal, that is best/top of it's archetype. I think Bungie realized if craftable weapons are too good, it leaves no reason to grind for random rolled weapons (Hence why we haven't seen anything as good as austringer/drang/beloved ever since that season)
So I’ve actually been using this with Outlaw and Destabilizing rounds instead, the synergy it has with void builds in PvP is insane and if your really good at team fights it destroys with arc builds if you proc the volatile from chain arc dmg
I personally have a lot of fun with it in PvE content, especially with Outlaw + Destablizing Rounds, but that's mostly what it is to me, a PvE Hand Cannon. And it will never be better than Round Robin, Igneous Hammer, or Exalted Truth in PvP, especially with how you use those three weapons, Gold.
Man I know it's a bitch of a grind in a shit playlist but I managed after 3 resets to get a bottom dollar w slideshot explosive. And God damn does it feel good. My roll has smallbore, steady rounds, and a stability mw. Kinda wanted accurized but tbh steady rounds feels nice and with it being a 120 and slideshot/explosive compensating for the lack of range it feels stupid crispy. 😬
120s would also be better if 10 Resil didn’t have an effect on PvP, no way should a guardian walk away with 1hp after being hit by two 80 and one 50 shot… 210 damage and they’re still alive, we’re in a Titan META so ofc everyone got 10 Resil
just started watching your vids and I gotta say I kinda disagree. I think we'll rounded synergizes well with the origin trait and so long as you set yourself up with your abilities the gun feels amazing. not to mention pairing this weapon with explosive payload instead of keep away especially in the new sandbox makes this a dueling machine
Enhanced Shot Swap gives +100 ready/stow handling, this perk doesn't help you in 1v1s but if you're getting rushed you can switch to a shotty or something very quickly after killing someone (you get 2 stacks and they wont go away until you use them)
I bet that slide shot is saved for ignious hammer next season with crazy perkpool. Everyone will be using it The immortal scenario all over again After that slide shot nerf Same loop for years
everyone using a gun is not a problem everyone using a NO SKILL GUN is ... you can gun people using igneous with any good roll 120 .. u cant hit all body shots with a 120 and still out ttk other players ....

Really well said gold. Just feels like one of those guns, when igneous comes back will go straight back in the vault and sit there. It's just doesn't compete with any of its fellow 120s even if it can be crafted, becuase of the excuse of perks they gave it. Just an overall L I feel. Cool looking gun tho.

They would need an overshield to survive that damage number as you need to hit 201 to kill 10 resil.
Also I think the arc set-up with damage resistance while amplified from the artifact might survive it, but basic 10 resilience is 201 or 202 health.

What they should do is make all trials adepts craftable so there's a reason to grind.
I want to love it so much but its so inconsistent, it feels horrible and cant hit anything then it feels amazing and cant miss
