- Christopher Griffin, AKA Plant Kween (@plantkween) returns to Architectural Digest for this episode of Room Refresh, today taking on the challenge of turning a functional but small room into a lush indoor space filled with "green girls" - in only 4 hours. While laying out their ideas for the mud room and executing the transformation, Christopher demonstrates how to propagate plants you may already have, creating even more green to spread around in your own small space.

@@lovingmayberry307 When Griffen gets a college degree NCIDQ ( formal training) practices ID for 40 yrs and does more than mud rooms ( but rather designs multimillion $ projects) and makes 6 figures Then I'll call him a interior designer until then he is a amateur interior decorator at the very most AD is certainly WOKE but NOT the symbol of superior design it once was
His personality is as refreshing as those plants💚

The space looks great. It has the perfect amount of “green girls” considering they have children and will utilize the mudroom for its intended purpose as well as a “jungle”.
I feel like the number of plants could easily have been doubled (or tripled) for some serious tropical lushness. I would have loved to see some monsteras, pileas, and peperomias. Also, I want a bromeliad on that table for an extra pop of color! But definitely a huge improvement. I just wish there were some more green girls.
He probably wanted to be considerate of the kids and give space for them to add their own touches. They still have room to add a cute coat rack and possibly more shoe storage.
@@BritneyDearestFamilyVlogs I think you are right about being mindful of leaving space for the kids. I just also think the number of plants could easily have been tripled and there would still be plenty of space for them. A multitiered plant stand would have worked really well, especially in front of the windows. And definitely longer/more plant shelves on the accent wall. I also would have loved some more personality with fun plant pots. Oh, and how cute would a swinging rattan egg chair on a metal stand have been? I bet the kids would have loved that! Again, a great video, I just think it could have had more of an impact.
@@MarniBates there's also budget and time commitment of the owners to consider but yeah I agree that probably they could have fit more in.

@@emilieguillon-equitation421 I got many plants in my bedroom and I’m doing fine! There’s many a urban myth about plants in bedrooms and them taking the oxygen that we need to breath is the most common. But ya actually not true! They’re not taking that much! But of course one needs to open the windows to air the room(or ventilation through vents), but that should be done anyway. Hope that helped!
It’s a well known fact that plants (some more than others) produce oxygen.
@@jacquelinegunther1012 they produce oxygen during the day and reject carbon dioxine during the night. So it's not good to sleep in a bedroom with a plant

Love the wallpaper and plants. Still, the couple said they have kids. With shoes. And the jungle was intended to honor the husband’s mom. This mud room has only one chair, no other “change shoes” seating (how about a bench?), barely a place for shoes, and no place for coats, hats, or towels. With little to no functionality this is pretty, but pretty weak. Sorry, this was an all show no go fail, AD…

It looks like the left door is the main door and that right one needs to be hooked off to be opened. I think They had it open only for display and filming.
I love Christopher's energy... however, I do have to say that overall I feel like AD has made a shift to more Domino-focused content rather than the holy grail that is/was AD - chic, high style and incredibly trend-forward. While I feel the space looks like a step up I do not find any of it forward-thinking + cutting edge. Where are you AD?
