Within the king gizzard discography this is not that underrated. This medley is considered one of their greatest works. I'll agree with you if you meant in general, King Gizz doesn't get the attention it deserves.

I especially think the live version here is better than the album. But that’s just my opinion. It’s easier to hear each individual part

Not just "our time", though that is true, it doesn't give them the credit they actually deserve. These guys can, go head to head with damn near any of the "classic rock" legends and hold their own. Their discography already surpasses many of their contemporaries.

King Gizzard do such a good job of retaining the studio quality they have on records when they perform live. And honestly I think they make some of the shit sound way better live (this being a prime example)

Seems the albums sound intentionally shitty, like an old record, I don't get it, I agree this type of mixes are so much better, The River on the album sounds terrible IMO

Man I listened to like over half of their discography before even checking out Mind Fuzz, then when I first played it I really didn't care for it. Now it's my favorite album of all time. For some reason that happens to me a lot with their albums though. Before that it was Nonagon, and before Nonagon it was Microtonal Banana. Weird.
Way back when they were just wee young lads and now they're a mega force on massive world tour.

When I listen to KGLW, I feel like I'm receiving eternal enlightenment beamed in from the depths of the cosmos ... these guys are the keepers of the flame and the tuners of the interstellar radio. Other bands tune into the wavelength every now and then, and that's totally awesome, but to stay on it day after day, year after year, is just mind destroying -- I experience ego death and become one with the ineffable essence and its unspeakable wisdom.
It's like its own fuckin sonic adventure.
i listen to this album so fucking often, nothing really can match the energy of the drums and bass driving the fuck out of the song while the rest of the gang rips around on the guitars and harmonica
