    Thanks for this review. I am in the preliminary planning stages of a trip to Tahiti/Moorea/Bora Bora with a group of close friends for February 2023 or March 2023. I want to wait until this "crisis" is in the distant past before I ever step foot on a plane again. I figure by then it should be back to normal. That food wasn't too impressive so I would definitely bring my own grub. I will also consider bringing my own entertainment device since their selection is limited. Other than that the flight seemed rather pleasant. Everyone has that place they want to visit before they die and French Polynesia is mine. I've been wanting to go for YEARS and now that I am retired, I can make it happen. Thanks again for the info. Will share this with my travel group. 👍 👍 👍

    For those of you viewing this post, I want to let you in on something regarding boarding Premium Economy. Dr. Gari mentions that Premium Economy boards last on Air Tahiti. Well, the way around that is by purchasing Priority Boarding. Priority Boarding passengers board with Business Class, which go first.
    The amenity kit is pretty much the same as in Economy Class with exception of the toothbrush and paste, which are not included in Economy.
    The IFE movie selection was by far the worst I have ever encountered. And the touch screen was as bad - hardly interactive.

    • @DrGariS
      @DrGariS  Před rokem

      Hi - great comment. Thanks for sharing. I don’t think anyone should have to purchase priority boarding when paying for PE. They certainly shouldn’t board last, in my opinion.

      You can do a day flight from LAX, but it leaves at 4:30pm. I did this and stayd the night in Papeete at the Intercontinental and preferred it over the night time flight because my room was ready and I was able to get a good nights rest, but you do lose an entire day doing this. At first we wanted to go to Bora Bora but then I found out you have to take one of those turbo prop planes to get there, and I was like oh HELL no lol. So we agreed on Moorea. Fly to Tahiti then take the ferry to Moorea. From LAX it's like a 8 hour flight, if I'm not mistaken. We'd definitely fly business class for comfort. As for me, the only thing I can think of to calm my anxiety is to load up on full strength Dramamine. Hopefully I can take enough to knock me out for a few hours going there and coming back to LAX.
