  • The Red Scorpions are an insular, almost puritanical Chapter of Space Marines who venerate the Codex Astartes. Whilst their founding and origins are unknown, they are capable warriors despite the distrust of their allies.

    The Death Korps likes them. Unlike the Dark Angels, they didn't abandon them on Vraks.

      All my homies think the dark angels are lame. This reason is why. Stand with your valiant imperial brothers! Forget the fallen, look to your duty in the fight here and now!

    Loyalist Emporer's Children or Word Bearers. It fits with their ideals on perfection and dogmatic views.

      Their obsession with physical purity and living up to the perfection of the Codex Astartes suggests Emperor's Children, at least in my opinion.

    I’m not implying anything but the scorpions are one of the few chapters who’s marines wear the full golden Aquila while most chapters bear the winged skull imperialis.
    Whom do we know took a lot of pride in bearing the emperor’s Aquila

      As an imperial guardsman all I have to say is that I don't give to shits what you do so long as you're loyal to the emperor, and won't abandon us in battle like the Dark Angels.

      I mean considering they are one of the very few Chapters who straight up worship Big E and consider their book to be a holy book, I'd say they are just as loyal to Big E as the Angsty Tem...I mean Black Templars. Besides, they refuse to allow the Mechanicus to have their geneseed purely because they claim to only answer to the Emperor. Might be why during Badab they were at the forefront of chapters bringing the pain against the traitors.

  • @captainthorrek262

    Could they be Loyalist Emperor's Children, with their striving for perfection (adherence to the Codex, forging armour, flexibility in combat roles, etc.)?

    The Red Scorpions would have the gall to flat-out REFUSE to work with the Space Wolves? Woooow...you’re gonna say “shove off” to a FIRST FOUNDING legion? The same legion that did the whole “Burning of Prospero” thing, no questions asked? The same legion that got into a Cold War with the Inquisition AND the Grey Knights and came out on top? ...*insertAREYOUSUREABOUTTHATmemehere*

      Better then mine, the Ravenites. They have so many marines in their chapter picked up from their time being stuck in the warp they don't even have Gene seed standards, as long as it's not tainted they will use it. They also don't follow the Codex Astartes...at all. To their defence they have been stuck in the warp since the horus heresy and only came out thousands of years after the heresy.

      panda god redemptors even more so

    • @TheUrizen
      @TheUrizen Před 4 lety +1

      Depends. It is the pattern that puts the most strain upon the pilot.
      The Horus Heresy black books showcase this grough several examples:
      A Space Wolves leviathan who became bloodthirsty and went on a prospero spireguard killing spree.
      A Night Lords one that became more erratic and insane as time went on.
      An Iron hand who had to be transferred to the morragul clan after he proved unable yo adapt to the leviathan.
      ____
      But if there is one advantage the 40k chapters have over the legions it's recruit quality.
      And Carab Culln? He's been to Vraks, he led the loyalists to victory at Badab, and for all his faults is still a HERO OF THE IMPERIUM.
      If there is someone in the Red Scorpions chapter that can handle the leviathan dreadnought, it's him.

    Or are they really just an elaborate cover for an Alpha Legion chapter? Is Carab Culln really inside that juggernaut? How can the most important apothecary (Kregor Thann) have the time to be an integral part of both this team AND fulfill duties in the Deathwatch? So many questions, so many...
    ...Alpharius is standing right behind me isn't he?

      Michael Barney yes. Most MKs of power armor are hard enough to come by, but the Primarchs did have some xeno and dark age tech goodies

    • @lightningcat82
      @lightningcat82 Před 6 lety

      I do not believe that there are STCs for any astartes power armor. STCs were from the golden age of technology, while the astartes power armor was developed afterwards. There may be the equivalent to it though, . Except for the Mk 5 armor, which is the bastard child formed from salvaging any other types for parts and making do for the rest.

    • @fulgrimtheilluminator2392
      @fulgrimtheilluminator2392 Před 6 lety +2

      There are STC's for power armour - That's how non-Terran armies had them during the Crusade such as the Auretian Technocracy's Brotherhood who had a form of power armour designed for non-geneforged.
      Astartes Power Armour is developed though - Such as the MK5 (Makeshift armour made during the Heresy to make up for the silencing of Mars) & Mk6 (developed during the Heresy)

      @TacticaImperialis  Před 6 lety

      I covered the origins and stories of the Primarchs as part of the Legions series. If I did the Primarchs as standalone videos, I would just be retreading old ground for 75% of the information up to the Heresy's end, whilst only the Traitors have much post-Heresy (Guilliman aside).

      But when you consider yourself "Elevated," to Astartes status and you literally come from the literal best of humanity you might have a tiny ego.

    • @CrimsonUltrafox
      @CrimsonUltrafox Před 6 lety +5

      They do have that right. Only some salty Imperial Guard fanboy would think otherwise. An Astartes is a super rare thing in 40k. There's arguably hundreds of trillions of regular humans in the Imperium, and roughly only a million or so loyal Astartes. Most humans see them as literal angels. I mean would you consider someone who's essentially a child to you, two heads shorter, and pathetic in both strength and intellect to yourself an equal? I guarantee you wouldn't...nobody would.
