- Welcome back to Boxing After Dark! Tonight, we witness an electrifying match-up as Vitali Klitschko steps into the ring to face the elusive and formidable Chris Bird. The stakes are high, with the WBO heavyweight title up for grabs, a title Vitali secured in a stunning victory over Herbie Hide. The spotlight shines brightly on the Klitschko brothers tonight, and if the evening unfolds differently than anticipated, Wladimir Klitschko is eager to prove his world-class prowess as well

If these two were British or American they’d be hailed as GOATs with 10 films about them tbh.
Compare their news coverage and popularity to the Williams sisters.
Especially if the were black
I love this story. It's not personal, it's just competition. Warriors going out on their shield, fighting till the end, and shaking hands at the end. Sometimes it doesn't draw the headlines that a "personal" feud, on social media does, but this is real boxing.
Those brothers were badass!!
Vitali was a beast. He was beating Lennox Lewis ass. Forced Lennox into retirement.
"willpower of a single mother on black friday" oh yall gettin comfortable lmao i like it
I was hoping to see a new boxing after dark video today, and here it is.
Vitali Klitschko is the current (since 05 June 2014) Mayor of Kiev, Ukraine. He and his brother also lost ancestors to both the Holocaust and Holodomor. They are pretty much real life action movie heroes at this point.
Vitali was probably smart to stop the fight before damaging his shoulder anymore, he was ahead on the judges scorecards and would have easily won.. His career went on to be one of the best in history of boxing. Some people forget the Klitschko brothers were not typical fighters, they both had doctorate degrees and thought of boxing as a sport and not a life or death competition After Lennox Lewis' fortunate win by stoppage because of a bad cut over Vitali's eye, although Vitali argued that he could continue the ringside doctor disagreed. Vitali was ahead on all three judges cards at the time of the stoppage and Lennox would not give Viatali a rematch...Vitali's younger brother was the better boxer but did have Vitali's tough chin.
Lennox Lewis retired after that, you make it sound like he ducked him and fought other fighters instead. He made the correct decision and retired, with his health intact, he knew it was time. Also, Lennox caused and pummeled that injury, knowing it would give him the stoppage win, it's called fight strategy, they all target the injury for that very purpose, nothing fortunate about it.
Much respect from your Chicano Brethren out here in AriZona. Keep up the great work Sir.
Great video again guys! Where here for it 💪
HAHAHAHAHA. He said Willpower of a single mother on black friday! xD!!!!!!
Chris Byrd was impressive as well. I used to like to watch him slip all those punches.
the thumbnail hahahajjahaha
Never been a big fan of the Klitschko brothers.. but champs are champs.
modern wressling in europa
The Klitschko brothers retired Lennox Lewis - one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. It was one person fighting against two. Each Klitschko brother would take his turn until Lewis gives out. If the Klitschko brothers were just average boxers, Lewis could have eliminated both. But the Klitschko brothers were good, and they would win a war of attrition. Lewis knew better and retired before one Klitschko brother tees off the other.
Great channel! But please stop with the fake ass thumbnails
I second that!
Wer will die Klitschkobirnen sehen ?
Boxing has a lot to do with intelligence.

Byrd was such a boring fighter to watch
As talented as they were, the heavyweight division died when the Klitschko brothers took over. And it hasn't been revived yet 😢
I never understood that logic. If there were actually great contenders around during that time, then it'd have been a more exciting period. The best opponents of that era were the likes of Povetkin, Peter, Ibragimov, Haye, Chagaev, Rahman, Brewster Byrd, Larry Donald, all of whom were very good fighters, but not quite elite, and not titan SHWs like we see today. The only solid opponent they didn't fight from that era was Valuev, who was awful and heavily protected. They beat what was in front of them, and it wasn't on them that the competition wasn't very good. I think if back then we had the likes of AJ, Fury, Zhang, Parker, Wilder, Joyce, Hrgovic etc. fighting the Klitschkos in their prime, it'd have been a more exciting era.
@zgaming6806 never said it was their fault. Just making an observation that the hw division was and is still pathetic ever since the TIME they took over
@@zgaming6806 I think a lot of the current heavyweight crop would have been handled by Wlad and Vitali in their primes in a similar fashion to the contenders of the 2000's and 2010's and then they wouldn't have been so highly rated anymore, thus the cycle. In most long-reigning dominant champion's reign the long list of contenders they defeat are relegated to being footnotes and never considered top tier because they were never champions. Usually those long-reigning champions' opponents that are remembered best are the champion they beat for their title initially, perhaps other champions moving up in weight to face them, and then the challenger who finally lifts the title from them. My examples being the reign and opponents faced by Joe Louis (Braddock, Schmeling, Baer all early in title reign, LHW champ Billy Conn moving up, then Walcott and Charles at the end of his reign) or even Marvin Hagler who's long reign is remembered more for his bouts with champions of lower divisions.
Klitschko brothers ruined boxing for me.
Your problem😅
den you ain't black
This bird was no match. Bird was no credible champion of anything.
