Love the color of this paint. I am one of the people that don't care for heavy distressing. I am ok with a light distress.
Chippy paint is definitely not for everyone, but it's one of the things I love about the milk paint. :)

Beautiful table! I have a similar table in my stash and you have inspired me to get it out! Love the trick of tying the legs to the middle piece to keep the legs stable! I always learn techniques from you! Thank you!

I just painted a little table very similar to this one. I painted it DIY skeleton key and applied a transfer. Love how both our little tables turned out!

I love the table! The heavy distressing looks great! I would suggest applying antiquing wax to the hardware. In my opinion it looks too new.

That turned out to be super cute. The transfer and paper you used is perfect for this project. You never cease to amaze with your ability to keep something the same but totally change it at the same time. I was thinking of rubber bands for the legs but your way was faster and cheaper. (Didn't have to go to the store to buy the humongus rubber bands. LOL) Fantastic piece gal! Have a really nice week.
I was just thankful to come up with some sort of a solution for fixing the wonky legs - even if my poor table looked like a Frankenstein wannabe when I was finished tying the legs up, lol. Glad you liked it! Thank you!! :)

Loyal follower here, but not a fan of chippy. Do respect your vision and hard work, though. Was born and grew up on a tobacco farm right at the end of the depression, so we fought chippy and rusty all my childhood as it took things a long time to change and improve for us here in the Deep South. If you seal milk paint first before applying your transfers it'll work so much better
I usually use extra bond in my milk paint and I've never had an issue with a transfer not sticking in that case, so I just didn't think to worry about it with the first set of transfers, lol. I sealed before I laid the second set down though, and it definitely helped!! :)

PS, I ran into a problem with a drawer on an end table I painted, the other day! I sanded the inside down and then painted it an off white, added a lrg IOD stamp with French lettering, it was like a love letter or something, anyway, I stamped the inside of the drawer and it turned out awesome! SO when you open the drawer, you'll see that image...
Love that idea. It's always so nice to have a little "surprise" on the inside of a drawer!! :)

Hi! Just found your channel and love this table! I'm an old school chippy and distressed fan! How did you get your milk paint smooth to paint with? I always end up with lumps! Thanks!
Welcome - I'm glad you found me! :) Thank you!! And I use a little milk frother and super hot water when I mix my paint. Certain colors seem to produce more chunks, though - not sure why. :)

I like the chippy look, but when the piece looks like it needs repainting, it's too much. I ❤ your channel and love your work. I watch you all the time and am a big fan so please don't take my comment personally.
No offense taken, lol. It's part of the fun of the milk paint though - once the paint is on, there is no control over where or how much chippiness you'll get. :) It can definitely be a bit scary, haha!! Thank you!!
