    This is honestly my dream pedal. When i found out that the Boss version goes for 200-300 dollars nowadays, i was so dissapoined, but then TC Electronic made an equally good and more affordable version, i'm a fan! Thanks for the review by the way 👍

      even the Behringer copy of the boss pedal is pretty hard to find (and it’s not very durable like the boss or these TCE) and not nearly as cheap as it used to be

      Actually the Boss Waza chorus pedal is a lot better. This one sounds flat, where the boss one is very dynamic and sound like it's coming from a tube amp. Very high quality sound, you get what you pay for.

      @@perfectwhine742 That's stupide the circuit is THE SAME. Sorry for you if you feel like an idiot after spending a lot of money on the waza. But don't claim it's better on the internet cause if you open it except from the waza craft mod everybody doesn't care about the circuit is strictly the same than the original one, not alike the same. So if you hear differences go see a doctor for your ears.

    Kinda funny that its called 3rd dimension though it has 4 buttons and generally speaking the figure that depicted on the body is 4-dimensional)

    • @FlawedbyDesign777
      @FlawedbyDesign777 Před rokem

      You can create the figure in 3d via forced perspective, if anything it is a depiction of an "impossible" 3-dimensional object. The pedal is likely named 3rd Dimension because C is the third character in the alphabet.

    Good simple pedal, Good review. Hard to screw this up. If it was 50.00 I would buy it if I needed a chorus. Works well with the overdrive/distortion as well. Nice mix. You are right 80s mix . The best I have heard is the Mutron phase shifter 11. I bought one when I was 16 years old for 160.00. I went on tour and it got lost. IF and that is a big IF you can find one now you are looking at 600.00. We are talking Steely Dan quality. My friend played on the Asis album & that is what he used. Now aday you need to buy a noise gate with many of the newer pedals. Many are made like shit in China. This is actually good, unless you are not telling us something. I do not think you would omit anything. Thanks. Great job.

    Thanks good review! I have this, though it sounds fine with various combinations, I struggle with how to mix in my pedal board. It’s like when you turn it on, even I have other pedals, overdrive, reverb, delays, etc- the entire tone becomes very chorus sounding. So I took it out of the chain. Maybe that’s the disadvantage of not having a level or mix control.

      @60CycleHumcast  Před 6 lety +6

      if i was to rebuild my rig with 5 pedals with a good distortion and a surfy reverb included this is what i would do.
      1. DOD 205 for light drives (the pelican noiseworks 50/50 is my custom version of that concept) you could also fill this spot with a tube screamer variant.
      2. Walrus Audio Iron Horse V2 for distortion (its a variation on the ProCo RAT)
      3. A versatile delay is nice to have around, EHX Canyon fits the bill but im a big fan of the TC flaskback 2 and walrus ARP-87 as well.
      4. Fuzz, this is a personal decision and takes a lot of trying to find the fuzz you like, starting with the tc Rusty fuzz or honey pot wouldn't be a bad decision. They are variations on the classic fuzz face and big muff circuits.
      5. Get a tremolo or modulation (chorus, phaser, flanger, etc.), maybe even fill this spot with some kind of multi FX pedal so you can explore effects your not familiar with.
      Starting out i think its smart to buy used so you can resell stuff you don't like and not loose very much money.

      i totally forgot to recommend a reverb, lol. Im a big fan of the Elle by big ear nyc, the topanga by catalinbread and the boss frv-1. those are all very surfy, starting out something more versatile like the hall of fame might be better.

    Great demo! Can you tell me if this sounds as good with ONE amp? Also is there a way to remember what settings you have if you're using 6 of these in a hexaphonic setup? I need to use multiple units, and would like to know if there's a way to know where each setting is? Does the manual help? thanks

    I don't think the combinations make a difference, they didn't on the original Dimension C. It's just 4 settings. I think they are increments of depth but there may be some differences in rate between them too.

      In the original it switches combinations of three different sets of resistors controlling LFO speed, LFO depth, and Dry/Wet mix.

    There’s no point in getting the Boss waza DC if you don’t run a stereo rig. They sound exactly the same in mono. If you do run stereo then get that overpriced one though my dude, flex on em!

    • @60CycleHumcast
      @60CycleHumcast  Před 6 lety +2

      afterglow can be dialed to be more subtle in a modern way, this nails the 80s trapper keeper sound.

      60 Cycle Hum would the afterglow be able to get the “come as you are” tone I seen u play it in the original 8 pedal unboxing and I was set on getting this pedal instead of the afterglow

    • @60CycleHumcast
      @60CycleHumcast  Před 5 lety

      Mel Alvarez this pedal has more of an 80s shimmery chorus sort of sound, the afterglow would be closer to a Nirvana univibe chorus.

      Yep, this is ridiculous, the whole point of the DC-2/DC-3/SDD 320 etc. was to use them in stereo for a super lush sound. I can't believe they didn't do this. It's the only thing stopping me buying one.

    • @zplapplap
      @zplapplap Před 5 lety +2

      Ridiculous? The whole point? Most of the market for these pedals aren’t running a stereo rig. We both know that. Omitted feature that can easily be found in the Waza unit? There’s your option. That or the plastic Behringer. I’m running this into the front of a 1990’s Vox AC15. I’ll take this price point and leave the stereo in and outs for which I have absolutely no use.

      Fugue State Fugue State the circuit in this pedal is almost certainly an exact copy of the old behringer CC300, which was their clone of the boss dc-2. The behringer pedals were made of plastic and meant to be really cheap, and when TC bought them, they released all those pedals with completely new designs and names and much sturdier enclosures. Some of them were identical to their boss counterparts (as far as the circuit) and i’m pretty sure this is one them.
