Thank you so much for your honest answer to my question! I had a hard time finding any reviews comparing corded vs cordless trimmers. I figured corded would be more powerful, but I’m not a barber so it is nice to have someone who does use them that much to give me a straight answer! Thank you! I had long hair until I was starting to bald, so I went to the opposite side and shave it now. I have also had a full beard since I was 16 so I want one good trimmer to trim my beard and get my head short enough to make it easier to shave with a safety razor. I’m glad I gave up on the first video that the guy said nothing, he just had shit music while he cut a kid’s hair, but no information! I got tired of it and stopped watching it and tried yours! Night and day difference! Thanks again for your help answering the question that mattered most to me, power! Much appreciated bro! Have a great holiday! ✌️

The corded version is a vibrating pliers immersed in a coil generated electromagnetic field. The cordless has a regular rotating motor. The rotating motor is a high speed system and will last less than the electromagnetic vibrator: there is very low wear in the electromagnetic system, besides the coil itself that heats a bit.

in Europe the Icon, the Senior start to disappear in online shops even, i dunno why. I wanna buy a corded Senior. But i need 220v eu plug. Wahl is going in the wrong direction with the cordless 18650 batteries. maybe put a thicker battery then we'll talk. Also all the lower body should be aluminium so that the metal screws are not de threading plastic. 3 things can go wrong the chip, the battery, the motor. It's abnormal to have 8 clippers charging as barbers, ridiculous, you need 2 maximum good ones. My Icon needs to be put in spare parts since the plastic threads failed after 10 years.

    Hi!
First of all, big respect for you. Watched a lot of your videos, a lot of great material for new barbers and the one who are in the game too. Been myself for 12 years now, I’m 28… :)
Would like a ,,slap of reality” from you.
I have Wahl Icon, Legend (best clipper ever, put the stagger tooth with that wedge blade - beast), Magic Clip corded, Balding and Wahl Detailer Li. The only cordless clipper I have. That said, I was thinking of getting a cordless Senior. Maybe I get a little more speed etc. I would take corded with no problem, but here in Serbia we don’t have it, and it does’t work with our electricity. So can’t just take it from USA.
So, should I buy it? Would it make any difference or should I stay with what I have?
Thank you in front, and keep up the great work that you’re doing!

Magnetic can't beat the rotary club ...
I got them all and to be honest all it took for me was to change blades ...
In every machine there is always a hiccup but thts my opinion.
Good video but corded edition varies due to the day and how the voltage at your work place travels to the machine .
    Cordless is a battery.
For a cordless it's a beast compared to all other cordless and even the masters and fast feeds...
My seniors cordless goes through hair like a speed boat on water .
The senior corded model apertures which moves the magnetic system breaks as well .The knocking sound when the switch is turned on or off ,that wears and tears ..
A simple change of cords are just not enough and then to remember the blades on the magnetic system moves the blades and snaggs clients ..
The companies will never give a completed version of any machines simply caused it will directly bring inconveniences to the shareholders..
It's still a great video an one to make the conpany to know that barbers are not as dumb as they think ...
I will like this now but I won't knock off the cordless .

For me my personal experiences with the cordless seniors because i didnt own the magic clips and the seniors just came out I decided to purchase them and its been one of my best buys of the year as far as barbering tools especially since I cut my own hair going cordless was definitely a game changer, I love them to death, and if it happens to die out you still can plug and use sooo no fuss no musk. My next best purchase of 2019 is the new 1.5 and .5 gaurds andis came out with now i get to use my double magnetic guards with more confidence on my fader blade masters which cuts from a oct 3 to 5 which is super close and also go back to using my of course fast feeds with ceramic blade too but i have the medium not the coarse and blends are still fire. So yea new andis gaurds definitely can only help and they fit and cut right in place just as it should. Im glad andis did that because I get to put more clippers back in rotation again with confidence, and not be limited to wahls because of their gaurd system even tho wahls are dope and will never let you down if you kno the game plan and break down.

The 5 star magic and 5 star senior corded are exactly the same other than looks. Same motor and blades. The crunch/staggered blade is for the cordless magic

So you don’t have a problem replacing any parts on the corded clippers, but if the battery goes bad you just throw in the towel and say that’s it! Replace the damn battery! That comparison between the two was so biased! Your logic makes absolutely no sense, So replacing a few blades and a cord or two Is totally understandable but if a battery dies you just throw it out! Also we are not in the 1980s those clippers have a lithium ion battery in them and they will last a lot longer than two years! Everybody has a right to their own opinion, But you should not try and pass them off as if they are facts! Replacing a battery should be really easy for you, I can see plenty of tools in that shop to get it done!

    • @giancarlorivera8113
      @giancarlorivera8113 Před rokem

When it comes to price, Legend, Senior then Magic clip...that is why I got the Magic Clip with the same motor as the Senior (v9000 made in USA) for a much cheaper price among those you stated. Legend has a longer lever among the two, while Senior's blade is a bit thicker than a magic clips fade blade.
