Best luggage for international travel - What I travel with.

  • Best luggage for international travel and what I use for travel. It is not so much as specific luggage brands as for a type of luggage. The airline rules are many and they drastically change with the price and the class of ticket. It can range from no check-in to 3 luggage at 32 kg each. Exact weights are also becoming standard across the industry as machines are taking over the human handlers that might have allowed you more flexibility.

    I used 4 of those Samsonite duffel bags when I moved Canada to west Africa. I actually put 2 book boxes in each bag and roped the two boxes together to give some more structure. Packed with 50 lbs. each and they worked like a charm!

    great video , I realised you know what your talking about when you got to the duffel bag. I actually flew with 2 x laundry bags once and 99% of the 2 x 23kg was not wasted on baggage weight. The disadvantage with the landry bags is that the zipper can be week, so I will check out this samsonite one. I usually go for the old school large laptop bag as they always allow a laptop as an additional carry on. some of those horrible late 90's laptop bags were massive :)

    Hello Mario,
    I have a question. If you travel with metal keys inside that zippered belt, don’t they cause the TSA scanners to go off?

    • @MarioStingerPerpetualTraveller
      @MarioStingerPerpetualTraveller  Před 2 lety +3

      If you are TSA-Pre, you wouldn't need to remove your belt. If not, they will force you to remove it whether it is made of plastic or metal. I have a pair of shorts with a "belt" that is stitched to it and can't be removed. 90 % of the time they ask me to remove it and I have to tell them that I can't. The L3 body scanner will detect the key for sure. The 6 Zone Portal shouldn't, it is not sensitive enough.
