I built some 9x9x36. I put a belisle 220 in each in. I put rocks under each end as weight. I try to find a limb over the channel of the creek. I hang it just under the water. I put it on the channel because of the current. In the middle of the cage. I take a piece of clear fishing line. I tie a 3d sun fish lure inside. It looks like a fish swimming inside. Only time i ever used real fish. I fount a stick that the 330 would fit on side ways. I zip tided a fish to the trigger. I was trapping on a boat dock in 40 ft water. I lowered the trap down on the stick. Down below the floats. Took wire and wired stick to side of dock. I ended up catching 5 otters there. I think the cage will work better.
Yeah. I caught a big boar in a blind 330 set at a chokepoint in a trickle of a stream this fall, foot deep by 2-3 wide. Hadn't seen any sign but it connects a 20 acre beaver pond to a river half the size of one in your video. Seems like if the habitat is right they'll come though, not much trapping pressure here though

This is a good ideal thanks for sharing
I bet it works good I’d think otters are used to seeing wire baskets like minnow traps and stuff
I've caught several. Water needs to be clear-ish so the otters can see the fish.
Nose setup. You should sell them.
What are the dimensions of the rebar box? Nice idea I must say.
Just bigger than a 330 conibear
try using rubber fish or one made out of shiny metal shaped like a fish...works for me.
Awesome, how many otter have you caught in the baskets?
4 total to date. But I've trapped the otters out in my creek. No new sign. I gotta find a new place to trap them.

Why would you trap otters?
