It actually was behind only Antaeus & Antaeus Sport... i think its best modern castoreum I have ever smelled... dont feel bad about not beating basically the greatest fragrance of all time 😆😂😂😂

I was wearing Aigner Silver the other week.... really felt I was 'marking my territory ' wearing that one! It was so juicy, almost bite-worthy not dry at all. It's a great wear.

There is no myrrh in Antaeus.
It got confused in the notes breakdown of almost every site with MYRTLE.
Even Chanel list myrtle on the old adds

I get a myrhh note ... maybe its the power of sugesstion ... maybe not... but just because chanels site doesnt list myrhh doesnt mean it isnt there

I like this kind of video explaining a specific notes and listing your favorite fragrance that had them, it educate me on how much that notes is used on the perfume, since the majority and myself still inexperience to those ingredient and we can pinpoint on what exactly we were smelling a little bit more even though our brain plays a big role to that allignment 😅, because again we never smelled the real thing and doesn't have a lot of fragrance that share those notes

I think its probably a strange mixture of the "apple" note & the herbal rosemary mixing with all the crazy base notes like Cypriol 🤷♂️
But honestly I dont know what it is since there is no Citrus listed in promise 😊

I LOVE Castoreum... I think I am going to rank my favorite notes of all time on day... but Castoreum would be very close to the top... Leather has to be #1 even though it is an accord 🙃

IMO, Antaeus is the best and my favorite Chanel masculine. I happen to own a pre 2015 silver spray and also what I believe is an early 2000’s version which says “Paris, New York”… I don’t really care much about the Bleu de Chanels and Platinum egoistes.

If I knew my Lavenders inside out I think I'd understand it better, I like it but it has taken time. And you're right regarding MdO Cuir, the square bottle version is akin to Bel Ami, you'd definitely not have any doubts about it.
Don't mind me, remember I had a French GF that ripped my attempts at speaking French apart, even though I got an A in my exam grades, whatever I said would be met with either a smile or a fit of giggles followed by telling me I will never be understood. Her French accent in speaking English was to me incredibly sexy, I'd just melt listening to her.

That Imperial del oro is a great score and I've been searching for it myself but it's impossible to find in the UK... speaking of rare frags hunting I've also been on the look out for Russian oud and I've finally found one, but the seller wants £600! which is probably more than double it originally sold for and I hate giving to the sharks, but it's so rare and it's at the top of my wish list.... I'm torn with this one, especially as I've never sniffed it but 100% I'll love it from the reviews it's had.

That Antaeus with silver spryer is the first reformulation which is reformulated again in 2015 and with a black spryer up until now. I have the 2019 bottle and I like. Did you have the chance to compare the recent with the one you own? Some says castoreum is minimal nowadays. True?
I think thats true but I only smelled the newest version in passing at a dept store... i have an original 80s bottle but I keep it under armed guard 🪖 😂😂😂

I dont think so but Eugene if you are reading I will defer to you. I personally think 100 ml is more than enough as the fragrance is resnious and heavy ... but a 500ml flaccon like creed does would be bad a** 😬😂
Yes. Absolutely. I believe in owning/using limited number of perfumes and I like la douleur enough to consider buying a 500 ml or even a 250ml spray bottles like Dior does.

Oaaffff thats a tough one .. it is still a good fragrance but the modern version is different... if thats all you can buy then yes... if you have the choice go for the vintage 😊

Russian Adam went further and used beaver tail in his Cuir de Russie, it is a stronger and animalistic note than castoreum in my opinion

Yes I think there can be a soapy element to it... its the leathery animalic aspects I most love... if you like soapy castoreum you have to smell Jil Sander Man Pure from 81' 🦫

He explained it to me one day... something about the 2nd round of distillation of the oud when they did the exact same proces as round 1 smelled totally different . So the frag couldnt be recreated

Hey there. Your content is honestly really very good. I enjoy it. Unfortunately your videos are just way too long. I honestly skipped them when I see. They are close to an hour or more. I would recommend cutting them in half or less, and breaking it up if possible. Just some thoughts keep up the good stuff.
You can put me on 1.5 or 2 times speed and watch the videos in half the time 🙏
