Don't know why people get all secretive in regards to gearing in this hobby but you'll need to run a 29t spool and a 40t+ pinion with 56mm motors in the 1000-1400kv range to achieve good mph. Unfortunately, that's not the only thing of concern when chasing mph
On this setup I was using a PPS motor mount, the one with a 30mm insert. Search for Practical Prototype Solutions. I'm using 8mm Saga custom pinions. To get anywhere near the speeds I was getting you need infraction V2 front and rear diffs because of the really low kv of the hobbywing motor. For bashing, 34/39 On 8s will be enough
Really nice and clean 🚀 almost like mine, I'm just on the 5687 1100kv motor
What gearing are you running, is it the stock 34t spool

@@hnic72 thank you very much for the advice
I'll now ha 35 pinion on an 39 spur for drag, but thinking about it your gearing is better for speed 🚀😊
Sweet Run Bro ..Max 5 at is Best What compound Are those GRPs?
Thanks mate. These are S5 Grps

@Dave's rc T what's the speed difference with the stock straight cut gears vs the gp5's?
Was this on 8s or 12s?
On 8s
@@davesrct7087 have you every tried it on 12s?
