@Carolyn J we know, but it's still so shocking how many ways they try to suppress black people anyway they can. However, black people need to talk to each other and hear our stories, so hopefully one day they can get it together.

This is why black women need to create their own cinematic studio. That way we can choose appropriate women to portray our historical figures. Represent black women in a better light and also we can create fantasy movies where no stereotype is attached, just a great plot and amazing special affects. It won't be about us just being black. It'll be about us being human.
This
Absolutely....about being HUMAN❤
I would help to fund that.
It doesn’t matter who’s in charge, even blacks choose lighter skin over dark, in every culture the lighter skinned ones get the most of anything it’s always been like that, spanish tv rarely had National brands advertise now its all i see spanglish is normal and so has colorism just look around the globe if your white you are right, i love all people and this is the trauma that they’ve left us with, its a constant war since the beginning of time and we haven’t learned shit, all we can do is war amongst each other since there’s no common threat to bind us all for the greater good(survival), i mean when an entity foreign to us all is here to annihilate us, will that unite us all what will it take to unite us because one person at a time isn’t cutting it.
@@sylmen1111 I get what you're saying, Hun. But I'm talking about movies that are created and produced by ONLY fully black women. This way we can uphold a higher image of ourselves and put out movies that not only inspire, but elevate black women. We don't need men in dresses to imitate an overly dramatic stereotype of bw, or have voiceovers of black women or children done by white voice over artists.... We don't have to adhere to any of society's rules of cinema if these projects are fully funded by bw. It's time to change the narrative and take ownership of our image back. We are talented, beautiful, creative and magical.... We should be showing these lovely parts of us on a consistent basis. No it is. Professionalism is a way to continue white patriarchal values. It's supposed to be an unnatural. It's used as a culling grounds for anyone not apart of the system already.
Well said

THAT PART
I'm so glad you didn't stop! There is room for me, because you kept fighting.
Thank Sheryl for being the black queen that are and sticking to your roots May continue to bless you queen.
She speaks her truth. Glad she never gave up despite adversity in the industry.
Sorry but there is such thing as her truth just THE truth but these casting directors are terrible for doing this it's definitely disappointing all people should be treated the same thank god its getting better than then and IT IS!!!...
Wow. Some people are complete idiots.
🤦
Not her truth it’s the truth.
What do you mean by “her truth”? You think if every individual gets to choose their truth this world can contain humanity? That’s a reckless viewpoint.
Truth is objective and everyone must align with it
This is what I like about Tyler Perry. Say what you will but instead of begging for a seat at their table he created his own.
Amen!
Segregation was the answer all along
Yup & all he had to do was keep writing the same movies with no substance ..
Yeah with absolutely awful writing and the worst actors I have ever seen…his productions are like something from the Disney channel….plus it’s all fruity as hell
Don't forget the road he took was also paved.
Wow. The world can not endure a beautiful, talented, and classy Black woman!
God bless you Ms. Ralph. A terrible game has been played on all types of minority groups in this country and especially on blacks, a brutal destructive game designed to minimize their opportunities and attempt to extinguish their talent at every turn.
I also see it against the gays. How many gay youth have turned to suicide because they couldn’t see a way to live their dreams? Sometimes when I think of the loss of talent across the nation based on prejudice it astounds me. I’m grateful for those that work TWICE as hard as anybody else to make it. THANK YOU!
So basically, he was also saying that Diana Ross didn't know her place either. This makes me boiling mad 😶🌫️. But Sheryl, you and Diana Ross understood the assignment here. Your place is where you are...where you were at that time and any other time. "So if I'm here, I belong here." We love you, Sheryl ❤️
Right like dont come for diana she could have paid for his broke a s s life four times over the diva is rich rich
This is why we have to pour love and build self-esteem into our young, black kings and queens because the world will try to tear them down.
Amen
Yes they will and already have done to so many of our folk.
And make you think otherwise. You are on point. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Well it's like we are not doing a good job of it then, once they are successful they marry a white person.
If every one is a king or a queen then who would want to be one
I can listen to this Woman and Auntie Jennifer talk, ALL DAY❤❤❤❤❤
Sheryl lee Ralph and Angela Basset are works of art. ❤
