How to Crumb Coat a Cake in 2 Minutes! | Buttercream Tutorial with Sheri Wilson

- Learn how to crumb coat a cake, following this easy step by step tutorial with Sheri Wilson.
Step one-
Using a sharp serrated knife, Level your cake layers.
Make sure all layers are straight.
Step two-
Add a dollop of buttercream to your cake board (this will secure the cake while frosting) Spread each layer with desired filling, I used vanilla buttercream. Avoid overfilling to prevent your cake from bulging.
Stack the second layer on top of the filled layer. Repeat until all layers have been added.
Step 3-
Coat the entire cake with buttercream, trapping in all the crumbs.
This layer does not need to look perfect as a final coat will be added later.
Step 4-
Place frosted cake into the refrigerator for 1 hour, or the freezer for 20 minutes (or until firm).
The final coat can be added to the cake once buttercream has chilled completely. - Jak na to + styl
