So true! I don’t do. Are decorating but I do Art 🖼️ , I have always been good at it but when I started practicing my Art became extremely BEAUTIFUL 🤩 so it’s always a little hobby until you practice and become way better😊
Valid, but i also think some people are born with artistic abilities .kids are taught the same alphabets but some have prettier handwriting to begin with, or better drawing than their pales. Of course in order to better it ,one has to keep practicing and stay consistent.
First, definitely agree! Second, that ombre is perfection! Third, my mom used to say "Okey dokey, artichoke-y!" I miss her. You brought that fun memory back. Thank you. ❤
I love the physical representation of the two beautiful colors, so different, yet blending together to form an extraordinary whole, in reference to the combination of talent and practiced skill. Or, as my younger friends would say, "I see what you did there." 😂❤
I definitely agree. I feel like for some they might be a natural and pick up new tricks easier than others. While others have to practice over and over again to get it all down.
I feel like this applies to most skills. You have something you're naturally drawn to because the way it's done appeals to how you work, and then you spend lots of time learning and practicing
I think it’s the perseverance towards perfection 👌 sure you work at your craft but the reason you want to is because of your natural aptitude, enjoyment and the need to improve your skills that’s sort of what fuels you to work so hard at your craft 💜
I think cake decorating is an art form just like any other only it's temporary and probably appreciated in a way that something in a gallery never would be. 😋 I hope you keep a record of all your creations because every time you cut into a cake it breaks my heart 😅 Maybe there should be a Tigga Mac gallery? Framed cakes, statues of your best creations and a pile of crumbs in the corner with the label 'MODERN ART' 😂 Absolutely have to have an ability and as you say practice, practice, practice.
Its definitely natural talent with lots of practice and dedication. Even the worst artist, with enough practice, can become a natural or master at cake decorating 😊 also, she didnt scrape the top all the way straight and once you notice, you cant un-notice! Lol still an amazing cake decorator! Id hire her in a heartbeat if she lived in my area!
@@lunaballuna I would love to order a cake from Tigga Mac but it would have to travel a hellofa long way to get here 😅 Luckily for me my adorable neighbour bakes and decorates and sometimes tests out on her neighbours. Its a hard life 😂😋
I agree with both. I was already an artist, so cake art is just another expression of creating. However, there is so much more to learn and never ending ways to use the cake elements.
You are one hundred percent correct. I'm an artist with a degree in design and do some cake decorating for family & friends. Being an artist is a plus.
My friend started baking and it was insane how much she improved in just a year! She made me a cake for my birthday last year and this year and it was crazy how much a year's worth of practice helps.
I agree 100%. I can master the technical stuff of how to frost and pipe, but I don’t have the creativity to come up my own designs like the “Dark Romance” cake. OMG
Great work and I agree. And thanks for confirming this. I do all the stuff you name. I craft, paint, draw, model clay, etc. I enjoy baking so much and now want to try cake decorating. It’s nice to meet other ppl who have multiple talents and hobbies, and even better when they wear All the hats, pretty well. 😊
I think that having "an eye for things" is a natural talent, and combined with practice you truly become a cake artist (YOU are)!! I have no "eye for things," so my delicious cakes are purely by accident 🤣🤣
Yes, I completely agree that it’s both! I’m an artist of all sorts of mediums (from clay to watercolor to embroidery & everything in between) And while I tend to be better at picking stuff up easily & fast, But I work hard to try all sorts of tips & tricks & techniques with every medium to master them! Believe it or not, I actually end up learning a lot of techniques that carry over into other mediums or at least give me new ideas to use other mediums in different ways (if that makes sense)
Honestly, this applies to everything. Some people will be more naturally inclined to doing something. But everyone’s capable of picking it up, learning how to do it, and working hard to improve their skills at it. And the people who aren’t as naturally inclined can rise above the skill level of those that are if they work harder at it. It’s sort of like if you’re metaphorically running a marathon. The people who are more naturally inclined maybe started a mile ahead of you. But you both have so much distance to cover before you unlock your full potential (the finish line). And some people will either stop and stay where they are or completely drop out all together.
I agree. I've always been good at math, science, and writing, but suck at anything artistic. I could probably learn the basics of cake decorating well enough to make a simple cake, because, like you said, it takes practice to get the techniques down. But I will never have an eye for design. My cakes would be boring af. This is one reason I like cake decorating channels like yours. It's fun to see someone who is creative make such beautiful things. I'm in constant awe that you can even imagine the designs you do, let alone actually make them.
I agree it's a bit of both. However in school I was hopeless at art! But I have loved baking since I was a little girl and somehow despite my engineering/research brain I manage to pull off some pretty good cakes! So despite my lack of artistic flair in school I have a natural flair for cake decorating.
Agree! I've only just started at 54 years old and loving it! I've always had the natural flair but play about and practice - results are coming along nicely 🎉
Practice makes perfect, but loving what your doing is what what practice not work. As "easy" as things may seem, it really takes someone that loves and cares about what they're doing to get to that level.
I’ve always been artsy and I enjoy baking so cake and cupcake decorating made a lot of sense. All of my hobbies just feed into each othereventually😂 I’ve been told I’d make a great decorator but I fully know I do not have the practice (yet) to be anything more than just fairly good. A lot of talent is often just having the desire and want to keep practicing I think☺️
I agree with you, that it's both. I make cards. Practice has made me better at it. I often can't explain my choices in putting things together and I reckon that's the "talent" part. It just comes to you. It's the same for anything that involves creating. Any form of "artistry". 😊
I don't know any artist, no matter how amazing and naturally talented, who hasn't had to continually hone their skill. Natural talent is like getting a headstart in a race, not being given the medal before you even leave the starting line.
Definitely! When i came to America, i did not know how to bake. I've always loved drawing amd painting. Later on i learned to bake because my daughter wanted a unicorn cake and i didn't have the money to buy one, so i made one. It was a hit. Now i sell my cake and people love it!
The skills can all be learned. The gift is being able to blend all the techniques into something beautiful. After watching your videos for a while, I could replicate what you do, but I'd be copying one of your previous designs. Like, that ombre technique I could probably do with some practice, but I'd only be able to maybe change the colors used. I don't know that I could come up with something new.
I think I am like you and likes all of the arty stuff and I also have a passion for cake decorating and at the age of 11 I have a little business out the front of our house selling cupcakes
I agree 100% anyone can learn to do anything if they try their hardest and don't give up. However their is certain things that come easier to some then others because we all use different parts of our brains
Completely agree! A talent is only a talent until you hone it into a real skill with practice and hours and hours and years of hard work
So true! I don’t do. Are decorating but I do Art 🖼️ , I have always been good at it but when I started practicing my Art became extremely BEAUTIFUL 🤩 so it’s always a little hobby until you practice and become way better😊
Si 😀😃😍👋👍💙amor😍
Some people will never be as good as others no matter how much they practice.
Without natural artisic talent, that honed skill will only get you so far.
You just described when a talent becomes a profession.
Oh that blend is gorgeous.
fr peoplebarely talk abt how pretty these cakes are
exaclty what i said
Yes!! I really wanna make that and I have plenty of food colouring, butter and icing sugar to do so! 😁
I think your a bot

I always say that the "gift" (talent) is the passion to practice and not give up when it's hard.
I love this so much!
This is awesome and I totally agree!
This is awesome. I think this perfectly describes it
Valid, but i also think some people are born with artistic abilities .kids are taught the same alphabets but some have prettier handwriting to begin with, or better drawing than their pales. Of course in order to better it ,one has to keep practicing and stay consistent.
Love it
First, definitely agree!
Second, that ombre is perfection!
Third, my mom used to say "Okey dokey, artichoke-y!" I miss her. You brought that fun memory back. Thank you. ❤
Can’t remember who said it but I love the saying “practice makes improvement, because you can never be perfect “ 😊
That's true! My guess is that whoever added the 'perfect' into that phrase just helps boost people's confidence
I think I’ve heard Bake My Day Mimo say that
My third grade teacher used to say “practice with not make you perfect but practice is permanent”
“practice makes progress” keeps the alliteration!
“Okey dokey artichokey!”Haven’t heard that in years! Brought a smile to my face 😊
I love the physical representation of the two beautiful colors, so different, yet blending together to form an extraordinary whole, in reference to the combination of talent and practiced skill.
Or, as my younger friends would say, "I see what you did there."
😂❤
I definitely agree. I feel like for some they might be a natural and pick up new tricks easier than others. While others have to practice over and over again to get it all down.
Absolutely! I'm a florist and believe you can both learn to be a good florist or naturally be gifted. Or both!
That blend is so much smooth and the colour combination is looking so aesthetic ❤
I feel like this applies to most skills. You have something you're naturally drawn to because the way it's done appeals to how you work, and then you spend lots of time learning and practicing

The color on this cake is gorgeous!!!
Beautiful just beautiful. Love the color combination.🎉🎉🎉
I am doing cakes in New Zealand for about 12 years. I am Brazilian but also Kiwi too. I love your videos! I learn lots with your kindness ❤❤❤
The cake looks good with blue and purple. I wanna taste it. 🤤
Agreed! This is the same for anything really, especially in creative mediums.
You are one hundred percent correct. I'm an artist with a degree in design and do some cake decorating for family & friends. Being an artist is a plus.
Both! Absolutely love the ombré color combo!!
I so agree. Talent isn't enough on its own but hard work can't replace creativity.
I really love watching your videos, especially when you're designing 👏👏
I agree. Well said.
I've never been very artsy, and I know I would really struggle!!
I love the color and gradient on this cake ❤! I also agree on your skill vs natural talent point. 😊
My friend started baking and it was insane how much she improved in just a year! She made me a cake for my birthday last year and this year and it was crazy how much a year's worth of practice helps.
That gradient 💜💙 so pretty
My instructor complimented my ability to pick up cake decorating so fast. That has given me confidence to last m years.
This ombré is gorgeous!
I think that cake looks gorgeous, I love the ombré type effect
I agree 100%. I can master the technical stuff of how to frost and pipe, but I don’t have the creativity to come up my own designs like the “Dark Romance” cake. OMG
I think it's both, too. Great ombre, Tigga.
Absolutely both the eye for great design, sense of color and hours and hours of LOVE ❤️ 🤗🎉
Thanks for the joy!❤🎉❤🎉
The okie dokie artichokie is iconic! 🫶
I think this cake is gorgeous. ❤

You have a god-given talent that you have honed into greatness
I think I love the ombre and clean edge perfect!
I love drawing, painting, anything creative.
I've mastered a good sponge cake and this week I actually decorated one.
Well, I've found my calling
I enjoy watching You create.
I think that having "an eye for things" is a natural talent, and combined with practice you truly become a cake artist (YOU are)!! I have no "eye for things," so my delicious cakes are purely by accident 🤣🤣
Love the gradient texture ❤
I think you're right. And I think you're SO talented.
“Okey dokey artichokey” makes me so happy with your accent :)))
Absolutely! And that applies to everything.
I completely agree with you I've always taken art classes love drawing love writing and I'm very creative and I love cake baking and cake decorating
Yes, I completely agree that it’s both!

*tho I’ve never tried cake decorating, only have baked & decorated cakes & desserts for people I know, gingerbread houses etc
Arrrrrrrgh I need that cake in my life!!!!! That blend literally makes my heart soar!!! Stunning ❤❤❤
Gorgeous cake! My favorite colors
💯 agree with you!! Talent + practice is always the key for the success ~ 😎😉❤️💕

Beautiful colors! I totally agree with your thinking and comments on cake decorating! Practice Practice Practice!!! Muscle memory is a real thing too.
Agree! I've only just started at 54 years old and loving it! I've always had the natural flair but play about and practice - results are coming along nicely 🎉
Practice makes perfect and that buttercream is perfect 😮 👌
Love these colours in an ombre ❤
I totally agree! And beautiful cake!
It is definitely something that comes with lots and lots of practice
🤩 Wooow....My two favorite colors, beautifully blended together. I would love to see the outcome of the cake!!!! 🤩
Totally agree. While practice makes perfect, you have seem to have a very natural talent. Your cakes are exceptional!
I think you're a freaking GENIUS 💯
Love how it tried out❤❤❤❤❤
I agree with you 100%! It helps to have talent, but to get down the techniques you need to practice them.
Watching these videos I'm convinced I'm a cake decorator 😊 however my stick figures are fat AF so theres that 😂😂😂
😂
Practice makes perfect, but loving what your doing is what what practice not work. As "easy" as things may seem, it really takes someone that loves and cares about what they're doing to get to that level.

Pretty cake. You make it look so easy.
It's definitely both. Fellow natural artist so it was a lot easier for me to improve quickly. Always a learning process regardless.
Love blue & purple together ❤️🌹❤️
I agree, some people are naturally better at it then others but it also takes a lot of practice so a mixture of talent and practice!😁
I agree with you, that it's both. I make cards. Practice has made me better at it. I often can't explain my choices in putting things together and I reckon that's the "talent" part. It just comes to you. It's the same for anything that involves creating. Any form of "artistry". 😊
Both. My husband is a guitar player. It came very natural for him, but he practices his hobby on his days off and learns new things all the time.
STUNNING OMBRÉ
I don't know any artist, no matter how amazing and naturally talented, who hasn't had to continually hone their skill. Natural talent is like getting a headstart in a race, not being given the medal before you even leave the starting line.
I like the little edge left on the top of the cake when you smooth the edges
100% agree with you.. Definitely both. ❤
This looks absolutely sooo, easy! But it takes ALOT of Practice!!! But it is , & can turn into something Sooo Beautiful.
Definitely! When i came to America, i did not know how to bake. I've always loved drawing amd painting. Later on i learned to bake because my daughter wanted a unicorn cake and i didn't have the money to buy one, so i made one. It was a hit. Now i sell my cake and people love it!
That blend of colours is Gorgeous!
I agree! It is both. "Practice makes perfect"
Your vids are just amazing!!🎉❤
True greats in any field are a mix of both.
I agree Tigga. That cake looks great btw
Well said and GORGEOUS ombre! So satisfying to watch you make and blend those colours together!
That cake is so pretty. I would love to have that cake. Great job! 😊
That is THE best blended effect I’ve ever seen on a cake, or a wall for that matter!
there are some people who started baking when their old kid became five or so. one year later and they already mastered so many cake styles omg ❤😊
😍😍😍 nice blended!!
"PREACH"! 🎉 Agree 100%.😃👍👏👏👏✌️🤟💪💞
I think that I want some of that beautiful cake! & yes, what you said; both.

you have natural skills, but working on your strengths will always turn it into a talent
I totally agree. I have no artistic ability whatsoever, but even I learned and could do some basic decorating when I used to work for Baskin Robbins.
I think I am like you and likes all of the arty stuff and I also have a passion for cake decorating and at the age of 11 I have a little business out the front of our house selling cupcakes
I watched this 3 times just because of the sound of your voice and your accent 🥰
You’re spot on. I’ve gotten better, but I’ll never be as good or have your eye (and I’m fine with that). Btw, that ombré cake is stunning.
I agree 100% anyone can learn to do anything if they try their hardest and don't give up. However their is certain things that come easier to some then others because we all use different parts of our brains
YES WITHIN AN HOUR I SAW THIS! MY LIFE LONG GOAL HAS BEEN COMPLETE
