    Spartans are so cool Rome easily conquered them, turned them into a tourist site and forgot about them.

      Well at the time rome faced sparta they had already declined and been defeated by other greeks hell the achaian league had conquered the the achaians were easily defeated by the romans (with greek support of course which was kinda overkill)

      After having learnt more about the Spartans, I’ve come to realise the Spartans were not only a bit stupid but not nearly as cool as they’d want you to believe.

      @@ReesHolt especially when Thebes and Macedons has been stomping. When Spartans replied with their famous "If" on Philip II of Macedon, Philip took alot of Spartan lands save for Sparta itself. And prop them up as client states.
