Just went through this process. Had to fill out an application, narrate a video tour of our house, and do a zoom interview. Was approved and now it is just a waiting game.

I've wanted a corgi since before Christmas 2019. I made countless slide shows trying to convince my parents to get one. In November 2021 I finally convinced my parents to get one after going to see a breeder with puppies 1h away. The puppies where all spoken for but we learnt a lot. A little over a week ago my puppy was born! (From a different breeder about 10 minutes away from my house) I'm so excited to get her! Even before I wanted a corgi, I wanted to name some kind of pet Willow so, that will be her name. :)
This story might have been pointless but I think it conveys the message of: As long as you don't give up, you can achieve your dreams.

reputable breeders are highly unlikely to breed both pembroke and cardigans!
I have actually not heard of any....
